Hi Doug, I'm still enjoying your videos. I'm small stakes (1-2) so your vids are really helpful to me. Twice in this video (6:15 & 7:50, consecutive hands) you were quite nutted w/ betting lead & chose to check the turn -- for deception. I agreed with you that villain was probably way behind on the turn (hence your checks backs). And unfortunately, you were right as your river bet/raise collected no extra $. In same situation (I have nutted hand in position on turn with betting lead, & villain seems weak) I have been betting 25% pot. This gives villain great 5:1 odds on a call, which I have found they mostly cannot resist in today's crazier world. Sure, they fold the turn sometimes, but I think they call this "way more than they used to". Then, if they fold to my river bet, at least I got some turn value. I balance by (sometimes) betting 25% on turn when I am weak/drawing -- this tend to keep betting lead on river (if you value that). Just an idea. Keep up the good work, my friend.
You're a good player and I am a fan. However, I will say when I watch your Vlogs you have run really, really, really good almost this entire year. Even when you're having a bad day you generally run decent. The difference in how you've run this year vs NorCal poker is quite amazing. Obviously I bring him up since you both play in the same 1/3 game at the same casino and I'm sure know each other well and are generally playing against the same opponents every week. He's not quite the player you are, but you're running incredibly well in many, many big spots whereas he's basically running consistently pretty poorly in those same big spots that make or break a session..., but that's poker. Hopefully your incredible run good continues throughout the rest of the year
Ive been running good at poker for 30+ years, I guess I am just lucky. I play with Alex on occasion, we both have had our fair share of beats. Eventually, both of us will end up with more chips in the long run.
Nice week, Doug! Watching through the blurry eyes of a late-night (winning) podcast, and Zeus made me laugh so hard, my head hurt even more. Congrats, sir!💪👊🍀
Wow, congrats on the wins 💪👍🏾 There is almost no such thing as a perfect session in my view since, after all, we are all human. But you certainly came close. Well, $CLSK reported excellent earnings. I guess the big boys in NYC are playing possum and will run up the price down the road. Perhaps after $BTC breaks out to the upside???I reduced my portion of shares but still have some. I’ll add if we get a meltdown to support.
We both know that this was on or in the cards, the key is you seemed to get the max out of most of your hands, thats the key, "Value" well done bro, regards from a sunny England , at last, Fraser
You played and ran very well, Doug!!! The AK hand was a strange one. I think it's all in or fold there. Most times, it will miss, and you end up having to fold. I don't know the history, if there is any, between you two, but that's my take. I'm just happy you made a really nice profit for 3 days of grinding. 😊 Don't bash me too hard on my assessment 😅
My normal play would be just jamming, something didn't feel right with his 4 bet size. Being out of position and having 25bb already in, jamming is not a bad way to go.
98o: Villain bet pot and you raised. That's really strong. I think I'd just call there, hope for another bet on the river, and bet small if not. My guess is that villain had Adx in the bonus hand. But who cares? You win.
Enjoyed the video as always. On the flopped 10s. You know this player squeezes with less than stellar hands. You showed weakness on the flop then he bet the turn. Why not check the turn and let him continue to bluff at the pot and only raise on the river. That is the only way to get more money out of him is he has a piddling hand and if he has a big hand he will call you river raise. I think a bet on the flop would have cost you his turn bet!
Liked how you broke down equities on the AcKc hand. Should we give that much consideration to the times we tie? Looking at win percent gives total different outlook of course. Personally I'm not a fan of playing such a large pot with idea of chopping.
@@dougmccuskerpoker Capitol Casino has a great poker room. The floor men and dealers are great. The rake isn’t onerous, and the small kickback is great for occasional lunches and dinners or just take the cash! I wish they did this in Texas

Great job with the analysis on the video. Include more! Love the video Doug!
Thanks, will do!

Thanks 👍
Nice video Doug! I need some run good luck, I’ve been playing well and getting rivered so many times. Perhaps I need a new lucky Zeus chip!😎

Thanks Fraser, I ran extremely well and that makes poker easy. There were a few spots I could have played better, live and learn.

He doesn't like to fold to me, if he had a good piece, he would surely come along.
Running hot there buddy!
You got to open those 10s though. Should be bumping it up $30 min. But hey, when you know you’re gonna flop top set………
agreed, normally I would make it 30-40 to go.
Good enjoyable vlog. Bonus hand, maybe he had A diamonds with off suit K?
Only thing I can think of is him turning a naked Ad into a long bluff. Suicide play IMO
Liked the odds calculator analysis.
Thanks, its good to know some of the routine odds that you often run into in big pots

I tried to make my bet look like a move, it gave him the opportunity to blast off. He thought for close to 3 minutes, thought he was going to raise.

yeah, I felt if I was lucky I would chop. Getting decent odds to call pre, but its tough to realize any equity.
I just had some run good myself hit the hourly high hand Saturday with quad aces for a 2000 payout plus the pot!!
wow!! that's a good heater indeed.

Yeah, dont worry, you gotta set. No need to look at the flop...
I screwed that hand up, UGH
On the bonus play the villain had a naked A of diamonds
nothing much makes sense to me other than that, everything go there except the runner, runner flush.

Hey doug how are you doing at keeping kidney stones at bay?
yes, my stones were uric acid base, taking a supplement to reduce uric acid in my blood stream.
What does that mean don't bluff strong ranges brother

If i never hear the word "range" again it will be too soon
I’m so tempted 😂😂😂
If i pay to see their hand they better show me their hand.
I agree, but in some instances I will not force a show.
