My favourite parts (other than the obvious) are: 1.) Layne pitching the steel drum part on his cheeks at the beginning of Under the Sea. 2.) Everyone just stopping and giving puzzled looks at Eli's seagull singing. 3.) The look on Geoff's face when JNone "steals" the "sing it to me now" line at the end.
If you haven't already, I would highly recommend their cover of "Just Sing". It's a massive collaboration with many other a capella artists. If/when you do, be sure to turn on the captions. They included information about who everyone is (as well as some rather snarky remarks).
Interesting you mention Frozen 2- VoicePlay have a Frozen 2 medley, featuring Adriana Arellano (who was only 15 when they recorded it, but she's got an amazing voice and was more than up to the task).
Great reaction, Tauri! It is so much fun to watch your enthusiasm while you watch and sing along! Rachel did another medley with Voiceplay from Wicked, I highly recommend it. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff Castallucci!
One of my favorite parts of this medley that I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone talk about is how after Geoff yells “NO!” When Ariel’s voice is yanked out of the seashell, he holds onto the devastated expression until after the scene has fully moved on, allowing you to actually feel the impact of the moment more strongly. I seriously think that if he had been right back to his subtle bopping to his bass immediately after the camera panned away and back, it would have taken away from the moment, and I’m so happy they made a point to hold onto it for a bit before having him go back to normal.
Getting to watch you fall in love with this video brought it all back to me, too. I have to see if you've done their Wicked yet. If not, DO IT! Geoff's arrangements are amazing.
@@Wildecat10 Thanks, I just rechecked by watching the Behind the Scenes video of filming this Medley on the VP website and I swear it sounds like she says she played it at Sea World, but the captions say Disney World, so I guess I've just always misheard that!
@@Wildecat10 I have heard Seaworld as well from several people but not from Rachel herself. So it makes a lot more sense to me that it would be Disney but in any case wherever she did it I’m sure she did a stellar job. She’s got the perfect Disney Princess Voice
@@patriciaschuman4205 Yes, it was Disney World and she was the best and nicest Ariel. I live in central Florida and brought my very young niece to that show many times because that was her favorite. Rachel was wonderful with the children at the meet and greet between shows and we have many pictures of my niece with Rachel and my brother as well as he like her the best of all the characters there.
What an absolutely fun reaction. Thank you for doing this one, I can't wait for you to do another one of Voiceplay's, especially one of their Disney ones. They did a terrific job of Diz-Bounding with their costumes.
Thank you for another wonderful reaction to Voice Play. You mentioned Frozen 2 so please do a reaction video of Voice Plays cover Frozen 2. You will love it.
Totally agree with you about Frozen 2 being better! VoicePlay always slays Disney! They have a killer Moana medley also with Rachel, and their version of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is completely amazing! Like even better than the movie version and I loved that one!
Geoff reads the actual Hans Christian Andersen story on his channel. You should check it out. I enjoyed your reaction, it's fun to watch fans react to this medley. Keep on keepin' on!
Have you done Wicked yet? Geoff worked on the arrangement for a couple of years and the work paid off. It's marvelous. It also has Rachel and Emoni Wilkins. Let me know and I'll see you there!
You should check out Patty Gurdy. Her solo stuff is softer, which is what I like, but she has also played with a couple heavy metal groups. Fun fact, Europe has a bunch of Medieval instrument playing heavy metal groups such as Patty Gurdy's former group, 'Storm Seekers', a pirate themed heavy metal group and 'hellscore' who I believe she is still with.
My only complaint about “Frozen 2” is Olaf repeatedly claiming “water has memory.” That’s the core claim behind homeopathy, which is dangerous pseudoscience that can kill people who fall for it and forgo real medical treatment.

Absolutely amazing medley too
Adriana is so great!

Tauri singing along the whole song, and them it hits her "maybe I need to re-watch tonight the movie" 😅😅😅😅
Rachel played Ariel at Sea World for thousands of performances.
Rachel was indeed a ‘friend of Ariel' for several years before moving on to Broadway, but it was at Disney World.

The first time I heard this I did have to go back and watch the movie again. It was so worth it, too. Great reaction, Tauri.
I have a feeling I know what movie you’re watching tonight💙

Just watched your Voctave reaction and had to see if you had reacted to this one. VoicePlay also did a Frozen 2 Medley 😅

If you like their Disney stuff, you really should check out their Friends on the Other Side video, from Disney's _The Princess and the Frog (2009)._
Love the ink!
If you haven't already I suggest you look at voice play oogie boogie song
You must experience this
Hey. They also have a frozen 2 medley 😁

What you need to do is read the original little mermaid. Wikipedia has a good synopsis of it if you don't want to get the full original folk tail.
👌👏👏👏👍

If you've never heard it, this is a good Kiss the Girl cover. Hope you enjoy it.
