Just that Geoff painted his face and arms just to look like Ursula. And the faces he make when Layne does his part. Just priceless and hilarious funny.
Fun fact: the part where Geoff says "True? YES." wasn't edited in any way, his eyes were just glowing purple at the moment and they decided to leave it in. What, didn't he think we'd notice? Dude goes and talks to Tim Foust and suddenly his bass range expands like another octave. He hangs around tenors and sopranos and suddenly hits somewhere in the 5th octave. Coincidence? I think not...
J.None went into geoffs chest range with the "sing it with me now" at the very end so geoff isnt the only one lol Also geoff being like 'I heard my voice but i wasnt singing'
Layne is a little underrated. He is incredibly talented. The way he switched between making all those sounds and little percussions goes unnoticed very easily. But the reason is understandable when Geoff has literally painted himself in blue and is sitting right next to him portraying the character of Ursula.😂 Amazing! Oh! And the Eli appreciation made me happy.🌸
Not underrated, it's just almost anyone can learn how to beatbox. Some people better than others, but you can't learn to have 5 octaves range. All of them are talented.
@@robertboling9057 Simply not true. Tim growled an E1 in Elvira and Geoff not only had strong chest G1s here but also a D1 subharmonic. Just stop lying under every video dude. Geoff can go just as low as Tim, and even higher than him.
This has got to be one of my favourite reaction videos to VoicePlay ever, I literally feel like I'm watching my own first reaction with your friend, and then all of my other reactions (I've watched this medley far too many times to be healthy) reflected in you! I can't wait for the next one. Also, I'd suggest Kidnap the Sandy Claws for another crazy bass line :)
I love how in the moments when Geoff is singing as Ursala and the woman singing as Ariel is doing backing vocals, you see her voice glimmering in her throat even though the spell to extract it hasn't started yet. I originally thought it was light shining off the necklace, but it's not. You can plainly see the shine above the necklace in some shots.
They have many great songs. You should hear their renditions of the oogie boogie song, this is Halloween and their most recent, you're a mean one mr. Grinch
I love you gals! Since VoicePlay is my favorite group, acapella or not, I've seen this video a ton of times but you made it so enjoyable to watch again. That was not Geoff's highest or lowest note but I don't care what range he's singing in or even if he's just speaking, his voice is bone melting. VoicePlay also does all their own song & video arrangements and they are their own production crew so yes, they are seriously underrated!
When you girls are ready for even more bass, there are two more groups to listen to: Home Free and Pentatonix. Try Home Free's Ring of Fire & Down to the Honkytonk. And Pentatonix's Sound of Silence & Hallelujah.
The D5-D1 slide is impressive but my favourite part was everyones reaction to layne in le poisson Also he (geoff) has gone way higher (A5) in their cover of peaches
Geoff has said he doesn’t consider himself a bass. He says he’s a baritone with the capability to sing bass notes but is actually more comfortable singing baritone.
If you like VOICEPLAY you will also like anotherf A Capella band called HOME FREE. PLEASE check out their original called COLD HARD CASH HOME FREE, VOICEPLAY and PTX do the same exact thing but in a completely different way
My favorite part is during the ending where J does the “sing it with me now” and Geoff looks at him like “what did you just do??” 😂🤣
i didn't even notice that till i saw ur comment 😂
Just that Geoff painted his face and arms just to look like Ursula. And the faces he make when Layne does his part. Just priceless and hilarious funny.
I've seen so many of these and never noticed that before LMAO.
It's actually Geoff who said it but that was funny af😂😂
And when Geoff is singing the higher parts, both Eli and J are capable of maintaining the bass line.
actually, I swear I heard before that Geoff doubled it up, so he recorded both the bass and his solo parts for that part
@@theatrenerd2.068 I'm not entirely sure, but I can say that in other songs, Eli and J have maintained the base line.
@@TheRaccoonGamer yes usually they try to have them do it, because if they do the songs live or on stage they will take those parts anyway.

this really isnt the highest Geoff can go check out their live performance of Elvira its truly impressive his highs in that
there's a kinda old video of him hitting a G#5 mixed on stage
@@st4rpt_603 And also on his channel he did a tutorial on how to sing bass where he hit an A5!

@@TheRaccoonGamer man. Y’all got pissy quick! Haha
I love you both reacting to this! Geoff's range is amazing and I adore him tackling Ursala. Please do more VoicePlay! 💜
Neat, can’t imagine how much she’ll love the new one that came out a few days ago, SOOO good.
Sarah's facial expressions during this reaction....I just can't....😂😂😂❤❤❤
You should check out your a mean one mr grinch just came out
I will! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
it’s good to see i’m not the only one who watches every geoff reaction they can find
Layne (the beatboxer) really is incredible. I love these Medleys bc it gives us a chance to appreciate them all. ❤️
The faces Geoff make when Layne does his part. It's just funny and hilarious. Keep going guys (and lady)

The look on Sara's face says it all at the end of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" :) They also did "Phantom of the Opera" with Rachel. It is outstanding!
you guys should do a reaction to geoffs version of the headless horseman it will send chills down your spines
Thanks for the suggestion!! That's my next video!!!! :)
@@KazandraBrock cant wait to see the reaction :)
@@KazandraBrock what about ring of fire home free
Yessss. Every....single....time. THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN NEEDS A HEAD. (Maybe the nice head of Geoff?)
If you like this one you'll LOVE their Moana medley. It's absolutely amazing!

Love your reaction videos! VoicePlay are sooo underrated. They are all so talented and work so hard on every video

Fantastic medley. Geoff killed it.

P.S. The live version of Hallelujah seems less likely to attract copyright attention than the official version.
if you want to know the low notes that Geoff hits, Marcello Bass usually comments all of them within the first few hours of uploads
WHY IS THIS THE FIRST TIME I REALIZED J HIT THE WOAH
I love seeing both of you heads bopping to this...it is so cute
You need to do Your a Mean one Mr Grinch.
The D5-D1 slide is impressive but my favourite part was everyones reaction to layne in le poisson

The only thing about this song I don't buy is the idea that Geoff would want to do anything to change his voice
VoicePlay 👬🙎👦 Is Fantastic 😺, They are all great 👍 and awesome 👌 at sinigng 🎶 and rapping 😀
just so much ♥♥ dears!! you are doing so great in your reactions!!!
You are both so natural and funny, it's a joy to watch... Keep it up
Geoff is actually a baritone with a bass range, He's said it himself
I just wanted to say I only just found your channel but I’m already enjoying it!
Your smile is infectious and absolutely amazing :-)
GREAT reaction from both of you.
Wait until she see Headless Horsemen by Geoff
right?!?! lol Coming out tomorrow!
One of their BEST Medleys, I say. And Geoff is AWESOME. He is a Basso Profundo for a reason I keep reminding myself. LOL
I am sorry, but the song I really like, is the Moana Medley. But this one is still good. Ok, sorry I left that part out.
React voiceplay the kidnap sandy claws
Geoff voice is deeper than the sea
Hearing Sarah sing out of the corner of my ear was cool :)
Those two are so cute, oh gods
Gosh you guys are so beautiful ❤😘...keep reacting 👍
Kazandra, I think you Error 404'd your friend on Geoff's scale slide lmao.
100% want Geoff to do asmr
AGREED!
So... how many of y'all would take a deal from Ursala-Geoff without hesitation?
Since you love Geoff (the bass) so much, you should look up his version of Bare Necessities
Listen as Home Free does "Folsom Prison Blues" originally done by Johnny Cash
You and Sarah need to react to Voiceplays - Moana Medley...
If you still have time, please check out VoicePlay's version of the song Elvira (live performances). It's fun 😁
If you haven't seen their cover of Moana that is amazing too.
If you like VOICEPLAY you will also like anotherf A Capella band called HOME FREE. PLEASE check out their original called COLD HARD CASH
HOME FREE, VOICEPLAY and PTX do the same exact thing but in a completely different way
