Voiceplay actually DOES have a Phantom medley....and Rachel Potter is their Christine! I think you will love it! And now you know why they are considered The Theater Kids of Acapella!! It is really a delight watching you embark on your own Voiceplay journey. I fell down the rabbit-hole 2 years ago when I first heard Oogie Boogie song...and I can proudly say I'm addicted to them. :)
Fun fact: when Geoff says "True? Yes" there's no special effects going on. He simply forgor to mute his voice-stealing spell and his eyes were actually glowing purple, and they decided to leave it in. What, you think I haven't noticed? Mans goes and talks to Tim Foust and all of a sudden his bass range floor drops almost an octave. Coincidence? Maybe. He hangs around high tenors and soprano singers and is able to belt an A#5. Two is a tendency...
Geoffsula has had a similar effect on many people! Not only did he scream, he went from that high straight down to the basement right after! They've done Phantom with Rachel, and it is one where former VP member Tony Wakim (now behind the scenes at Pattycake) shares the lead with Rachel. Also, since you mentioned wanting more Encanto, they also did a mini for Surface Pressure from Encanto as well with Ashley Diane.
Rachel is the quintessential Disney princess, such a gorgeous voice! As unfair as it is, you just have to accept Geoff CAN do all the 'things' and DOES all the 'things', sounding and looking great while DOING all the 'things', including that rather rare rock belt. Only other time he's done that, is in Queen in 5 minutes! By the way, VP did 'Go the Distance' about a year ago feat. EJ Cardona! Great reaction, thank you, looking forward to the next! 🙂👍
Your wish for a VoicePlay Hercules song was granted, they did Go The Distance with EJ Cardona from Voctave and your wish for Phantom of the Opera with Rachel as Christine has also come true on their channel. Both are fantastic! I mean it's VoicePlay so of course they are
We Don't Talk About Bruno is in fact an Encanto Medley. I'm sure you will love it. It's so much fun. If you want to see more female acapella groups you should watch Geoff's Mele Kalikimaka feat. The American Sirens.
Layne's wife Cyndi and Eli's wife Ashley usually aren't too involved in their husbands' work, as they both are busy with their own jobs. Kathy's job on the other hand, is being the office manager and production manager of VoicePlay, so she is heavily involved in a lot of the background stuff. As for having subtitles turned on, that's only when they aren't auto generated, when they've added them themselves (you can tell they are auto generated by them popping up one word at a time instead of the whole sentence in advance). The auto generated ones are often hilariously wrong 🤣 They actually have done Phantom of the Opera, with Rachel!
Also, when Geoff does then, there is usually, but not always, a musical note at each end of the line. And yes, the auto generated ones can be hilarious.
Having been married to a deaf woman for 25 years, I can attest to the fact that auto-generated captions for anything are frequently hilariously wrong. And not just auto-generated, but live captions done by an actual human. I don’t know what they use now, but years ago when auto speech-to-text wasn’t ready for prime time they had people (probably using something akin to court reporters’ stenography equipment) typing live captions for what the reporters were saying. We sometimes got more laughs from the news than from sitcoms!
According to the costumes, Eli is Flounder, Layne’s Louis the French chef, J’None is Sebastian, and our bass man Geoff is Ursula. And their guest is of course Ariel.
Voiceplay did a phantom of the opera cover with Rachel Potter and it was phenomenal! I really hope you react to that soon! Also Snail None had a huge impact on all of us for sure 🤣
Voiceplay (with Tony and Earl) has done Phantom of the Opera, featuring Rachel Pottery about 7 years ago so your wish has been granted, and something for your list again!😁
You also should focus more on the faces. There’s so much going on there. For example the look on their faces when Layne sings about chopping up the fishes or Geoff just after he lost Arielle‘s voice - like his soul left his eyes for a moment. They do things like this in a lot of their songs. It’s incredible. But your reactions are so great. I love your videos 🥰
The two individuals who Geoffsula "transforms" are husband and wife Rachel Copeland-Evans and E. Michael Evans. Both of them have appeared in various Pattycake Productions. Rachel is also a member of The American Sirens, not an a cappella group, but a trio more in line with The Andrew Sisters. They are fabulous!. E. Michael is a singer himself (think Sinatra or Buble) and he's also a videographer. He filmed "Carry On Wayward Son" for VoicePlay. The musical community is "small" in the Orlando area, they all seem to know each other, and find ways to work together. It's so cool to see.
Interviewer: What’s your range? Rachel: Soprano? Eli: I’m a tenor, but I sing baritone half the time. J. None: Baritone, but I sing tenor. Layne: Drums. Geoff: Yes.
Interesting - the last "Sing it with me now" in the final song - was J.None. That's why you see Geoff look back confused. Love your reactions. Voiceplay have done Phantom of the Opera, Frozen 2 and have done Go the Distance from Hurcules.
Oh man, you mentioned SO many things that they've already done in one form or another! Paramore? You gotta watch their Good 4 U. Phantom of the Opera? You gotta watch their... Well, Phantom of the Opera! Hercules? They didn't do a full medley but they did "Go the distance" with EJ Cardona (brother of Omar Cardona)! Aladdin? Not a full version either but you HAVE to hear the Aca Disney medley they did. It's not on their channel, it is on Disney on Broadway's channel, but DAMN you'll never want to hear "Arabian night" differently. Rachel as both the villain and the hero? *You gotta watch their Wicked Medley.* Of all these I'd most highly recommend their Wicked Medley. I love all four of these videos, but the Wicked Medley is on another level in my opinion. It's a 7 minute long *beast* of an arrangement that took Geoff almost 2 years to put together. Besides it shows all of them at their best - It tugs at your heartstrings and makes you smile all at the same time.
Citizen Queen is an all female a cappella group. Voctave has about a dozen members, of both genders, including E.J. Cardona. E.J. has done at least two videos with VP, including Go the Distance from Hercules, and I Can't Make You Love Me (they will make you cry). E.J.'s wife is in the American Sirens trio, who have a very Andrews Sisters from the 40s vibe. American Sirens performed with Geoff in his Mele Kelikimaka video. Highly recommend it for your Christmas list. E.J.'s little brother Omar Cardona has done several videos with VP, including two you've already seen, Dream On and Dragonborn Comes. I think Omar and Cesar have been friends since before either of them worked with VP. VP just shared minis with Omar so I'd bet there's a full video with him in the works. Before they release their newest full video (which is going to knock you out of your chair) please react to My Mother Told Me with guest Jose Rosario. (He was in Hoist the Colors.)
Voiceplay member worked in Disney theme parks etc so they know a lot of people in the industry and still like to do Disney covers. Rachel has played Ariel in productions so is right at home in the part. Whoever does the arrangement does the filming and editing too, it keeps it tight. Layne and Geoff do more or less half of them each. Eli did one, Eleanor Rigvy which is also great. O think the colour is a bit off, Geoff is blue, to be Ursula. And his thing is a range of five octaves. :) they did do Phantom, when Tony was a part of VoicePlace. And Eli is gorgeous, but they all are. You're fast becoming my favourite reactor. And if you want to see J.None's craziness try to catch the short: Chilis Baby Back Ribs. :)
On J's last day with them they did 2 videos. One was Man in the Mirror, the other was My Best Friend. As he was walking out the door, he was carrying a cake they had made for him. The decoration was a picture of the J None snail. You can see it in the BTS. It was probably a carrot cake (inside joke). Rachel worked for Disney as several princesses, the first of which was Ariel. She's also done Broadway, in the Adams Family and Evita, she also toured with Wicked. She has collaborated with Voiceplay more than anyone else. PLEASE, react to their Wicked Medley, it is astounding. Trust me! And Go The Distance from Hercules. You will love it!
You do know that if you go to VoicePlay that you can get their Phantom of the Opera with Rachel and Tony Wakim (ex-member baritone, now owns Pattycake Studios with Layne. They have done Go The Distance with EJ Cardona (Omar's brother and a member of Voctave). Also recommend Wicked with Rachel and Emoni Wilkins. If you want to have some fun, one of my favorite reactors is David K who does a reaction and analysis and it took him well over an hour for The Little Mermaid because he was laughing so hard he cried. Lord it is fun.
You MUST do their Wicked Medley. Rachel is also in that and absolutely KILLS Defying Gravity! The whole Medley is incredible. And Rachel has done musicals, including the touring company of Wicked.
Good news, Voiceplay did do Phantom with Rachel Potter 👍. It's an older video but still a good one. You get to see/hear Tony as part of the group too. He was the Baritone in the group before J None and is now co-owns and runs Pattycake Studios with Layne, which is where VP film most of their videos. He is often involved in the filming, set designs and costuming for the videos.
Great reaction My favorite is Eli (a little bit underrated in my opinion) They release a new song (only in Patreon but I m sure release on RUclips very soon) I can t wait to see your reaction But before this song please react to voiceplay My mother told me ( they are Viking !!!) please
Layne did most of the Disney and Halloween performances. Most recently, of course, Layne did "In My Room" and "Golden Hour." Layne and Geoff have each done about 50% of the arrangements. Watch for performances with antic humor and where Geoff goes very high and then slams down very low. Layne probably arranged it. (Think: Queen in 5 Minutes, Enemies, If I Were a Rich Man/Girl, Oogie Boogie). Typically, whoever arranges is responsible for everything....including deciding to have someone else do something. They used the snail image on J's cake for his good-bye party (there's a vid of it).
I'm just gonna start by saying that you have quickly become one of my fav reactors. I LOVE watching you go down this Voiceplay rabbit hole, and your Linkin Park one hit me hard the other day as well. I'm sure people have already touched on these, based on your commentary: -There IS a Phantom of the Opera ft. Rachel Potter these guys put out that you should definitely check out. - There isn't a Hercules medley, but they did do Go the Distance. - ACA Disney is one of my favs by them, but I've seen very few reactions to it. They have 2 Aladdin songs in there, and one of their ACA top 10 videos (I think it was the sidekick one) has a snippet of Friend Like Me. I would love your reaction to Friends on the Other Side. It's one of my top VP songs!!! - To my knowledge, there's no MCR or FoB, but they have a 2 part Panic Medley. If you watch that, watch the Billie Eilish Medley first - they tell a story. There is also a Paramore homage in their Good 4 U cover! - Not voiceplay, but if you are into metal, I really think you should check out Jonathan Young. He has original music as well as covers of everything from Disney (his Hunchback and disney villains in general are on a permanent playlist for me) to Pirate/Viking Shanties to LotR to Pop to Punk to Anime...he's phenomenal.
Rachel is amazing, her voice is amazing! so many works her with voiceplay! and so many Disney stuff on their channel! but to be honest, this is still my favorite video from them.
Geoff as Ursula is perfect. Rachel has been in many VP videos. Rachel has an excellent Disney Princess voice. She did work at Disney World in Florida. The snail was on J's goodbye cake when he left for the Navy. They did do The Phantom when Tony Wakim was still with the group.
There is an all female aca group they opened for Pentatonix a few years ago I believe they were called queen...something they were good. Sorry I can't remember the rest of their name. I think we saw them in 2018/19 in Grand Rapids Michigan
VoicePlay is the bestest (is that a word? lol). They did Phantom (with Rachel also). And they have Go the Distance, I believe it's from Hercules. Great reaction, thanks!
Voiceplay does have the phantom of the opera featuring Rachel doing Christine’s parts and a former member doing the phantom’s parts. Geoff has short hair in the video as well.
They have done Phantom. Long ago now, back when Tony Wakim was with them and Geoff had short hair. The mini for Buno is part on an entire medley they did so wish granted. Check out their ACA top ten Disney heros (or Villains or sidekicks) for all kinds od Disney fun
My guy! For Disney and women in a capella you’ve got to check out Voctave! While they are a mixed group of ladies and gents, they do a fantastic job. If you like Rachel in this, try her collab with them: a mashup of Poor Unfortunate Souls and I Put A Spell on You from Hocus Pocus. Edit 1: If you like metal music AND Phantom of the Opera, have you heard of the band Nightwish? They have covered the title track twice! Once in 2005 with their original singer and bassist and once in 2022 with their third singer and the actual original actor of the Phantom role in the Netherlands. Both are great for different reasons. PS if you film/react to either of these, prepare for a bit of an invasion of the Nightwish Army in the comments(don’t worry, we’re a fairly friendly bunch!). Edit 2: Not quite Voiceplay or A capella, but Michael Korte put together a group of amazing singers to do a Hercules medley that’s worth a watch(linked below) ruclips.net/video/T_hRfk4VZHs/видео.html Sorry to ramble, but you seem to like things I like in music, and I love sharing and watching others discover new, amazing sounds/bands. Keep going!
Great reaction Dylan! This remains one of my favorites. It’s almost like watching the movie. Rachel is the perfect Ariel because she played Ariel at the Disney parks for five years singing that song seven times a day. So she had to be pretty good at it by now! She is their most frequent collaborator going quite a ways back. As others have commented she did do Phantom when Tony was still part of the group. It’s pretty hard for me to pick a favorite with her in it because she, like the VoicePlay members, is very versatile and can pull off several different styles. I had to laugh when you said that Eli looks like SpongeBob. In the behind the scenes Geoff is lugging in the trunks and other equipment for the video, he is singing the SpongeBob song. If you go back about seven years, they did something called Shorts and did Be my Guest and Friend like Me. They both are about a minute or so long. You might round it out with Once Upon A Dream. PattyCake is getting set to release If the Shoe Fits which is the progression of the different Cinderellas through the years so that would be appropriate. I am glad that you finally released this. If you get to see the behind the scenes there’s a really funny part where Geoff complains about not being able to do anything with his hands. He couldn’t eat and he couldn’t go to the potty! His entire hand was covered with dye. No one has mentioned it yet so I’m going to remind you (as I have on just about everything you’ve done in the last few days), you need to cover My Mother Told Me which was used in the Assassin’s Creed game and on the television program the Vikings. Eli is absolutely terrifying. They are getting set to release another Viking song and they’re both pretty dramatic. 🤯
I’ll second the need for “My Mother Told Me”! The upcoming song certainly looks like part 2. You’re going to want to have already seen part 1 ahead of it.
Love to see your reaction to their Moana Medley. If you haven't already reacted to it. They also have done The Phantom of the Opera, and Go the Distance from Hercules.
They did a cover of Phantom of the Opera & if I’m not mistaken she is in that video too 😂 she is in several of their videos. You should check their cover of gonna make a change- Michael Jackson; can’t help falling in love and bridge over troubled waters ❤ I can’t make you love me is a good one they did too
Citizen Queen is a female a cappella group, No Tears Left to Cry is a good start as it gives you their names at the end. They also have a female bass and female beatboxer. Enjoy.
DJ, your reactions and comments are SO fun to see/hear! You have officially been sucked into the VoicePlay rabbithole! VP has a version of Phantom of the Opera with Rachel as Christine and Tony Wakim (former member) as the Phantom - it's gorgeous! I'm also looking forward to your reaction to Oogie Boogie - that's the video that pulled me into the rabbithole! I really enjoy your reactions! Thanks!
You Sir, just got a new fan. 😁 I already have a ton of subscriptions to reaction channels, but you are just a treat! ❤ I'm looking so much forward to dive into your channel and enjoy this amazing music with you. 😊
Love your reactions, I fell in love with VoicePlay when I saw their OOGIE Boogie song and have been listening to them since, however, I did watch Geoff do over the Misty Mountains cold and I actually set my sister down and said you’ve got to watch these four dudes do this song and I seriously thought it was for different people until we said here and decided that that was the same guy doing all four of the guys and then we laughed so hard that we had tears because we were picking out which one we would date first because we’re nerds and then we got to looking at them a little closer and they were all GEOFF so that’s a little backstory on us, listening to voice play and Geoff. Lol.
My favorite J None has to be 'Friends on the Other Side' (also my favorite Disney song they've done). And when you're in the mood to have your heart shredded by Cesar listen to 'I Can't Make You Love Me'.
This is one of my favs from them, it's like watching the whole movie! Geoff is a fantastic ursula and I think this is one of my favorites for laynes beatboxing. So good! #DJantlers #DJsHerd 🦌
Hercules? And more female artists? Well... VP did Go The Distance, with E.J. Cardona (Omar's brother) as a guest. E.J. otherwise performs with Voctave (larger mixed male/female group), and his wife Lindsay Flick performs with The American Sirens. Rachel was a guest with VP several times, and she also works for Disney. As do/did VP, and several of its members and guest members individually. When you live around Orlando, and you're good, that happens. JNone worked for Disney, and was also a voice teacher at Tara Simon Studios. Tara is a performer, voice teacher, and YT music reactor in her own right. Getting back to The American Sirens... you asked about who the poor unfortunate souls were. There are actually four people there, two "Befores" and two "Afters." The female After is also a member of the Sirens. Geoff performs Mele Kalikamaka on his solo channel, with the Sirens as guest artists. Their version is based in the Bing Crosby/Andrews sisters version, and the Sirens also throw in a tribute to Mr Sandman. Layne also plays a comic French food person in The Grinch. So there's a few more leads, including two Christmas songs which you could do now or hold for 9 months. :)
They did Go The Distance with EJ Cardona from Voctave (Omar's brother), Phantom of the Opera with Rachel as Christine (it's an old lineup with Geoff with short hair and Tony still in the group), and they also have the ACA Top 10s that were sung live: Disney Heroes, Disney Sidekicks, and Disney Villains.
I’m going to play Fairy Godmother and grant you a wish you don’t realize you had. But first, one reason that VoicePlay can do such high quality videos is that Layne and his partner Tony own Pattycake Productions, including their recording studio. VoicePlay and Geoff aren’t the only ones to record here, (No Lonely Hearts recorded a couple of videos there last fall) but the studio and expertise is available to them when they want it. Tony Wakim is a former VoicePlay baritone. He also makes all of the costumes for Pattycake and has made some for VoicePlay’s videos also. He directs and assists with many VoicePlay and Geoff shoots. Now for granting your unknown wish. Rachel Potter featured with them on Phantom of the Opera. Tony was in the group then and - in addition to making Rachael’s dress for the video - he sang the part of the Phantom. You can thank me by not drooling on your mike during this one!
Awesome reaction as always. You know you're a great reactor when you are the first reactor to be mentioned in the comments of Voiceplay new video on Patreon about being broken by the video. Others were mentioned too but your name came up first 👋
Definitely check out 'Go the distance' from Hercules done by Voiceplay and EJ Cardona! Also I love their version of 'friends on the other side' feat J None. Another great disney cover
Voiceplay did a rendition of Phantom of the opera with Rachel Porter, but it’s several years old. It’s when they first started doing videos, but it is still phenomenal
You should check out if I were a Rich Man/Rich Girl with them and Ashley Diane. I think you would really enjoy it. If I remember right, it was Cesar's first vid/song as a member of the group (could be second, but think it was first). And Rachel did Phantom with them, but it was Tony who sang Phantom's parts (still definitely worth checking out).
At the beginning of this you asked about female a cappella groups. Well, there aren't many out there, and none I have heard that are at the Voice Play / Home Free / Pentatonix level. You MIGHT like this (not to react, but to listen) version of the Andrews Sisters Medley by Voctave. They are a cappella, and this particular piece showcases their ladies. If you are impressed by this, you might react to some of their Disney pieces. Voctave doesn't get quite the following of the "big three," but they are, in my opinion, the best choral group out there. Back to THIS reaction and THIS effort by Voiceplay, it's one of my favorites. Especially the segment featuring J none. His vocals, and the intricate harmonies after his solo are absolutely amazing. Great reaction! I can tell you aren't 'faking' your excitement... it's very real!
🎶❤🎶 Disney + Voiceplay 🎶❤️🎶 They DID The Phantom with Rachel! It’sas Amazing as you can imagine and their first theatrical video that has Tony and Earl 🎭
For more Rachel Potter & Voice Play please react to Voice Plays cover " Attention "....Also Voice Plays " If I Were A Rich Man / Girl " with Ashley Diane ( married to Cesar Dela Rosa ) as their featured guest. Also Voice Plays " Frozen 2 medley featuring a 16 year old female . Also " We Don't Talk About Bruno " starring Ashley Diane.
"I am scared and aroused." I DIED laughing.
I know they do song POTO, but I don't know of a medley of songs from it.
You want the phantom of the opera to happen and yes- it’s happened and now we need the reaction. 😂
Geoff belting a D5 and then sliding down to a D1 in subharmonics is still one of the most amazing things of all time
Nah it was a D5-D2 slide with a D1 sub layered underneath ( still fucking *insane* )
@@Guest.7289_2 literally means the same dood. D1 Sub= D2+Sub Frequency that makes it sound like a D1
Geoff does a good scream in Queen in 5 Minutes. ❤
YES PLEASE!!!!!!!
Yes. Also in We Don't Talk About Bruno, although ... a different kind 😄
@@tessasilberbauer6219I think that might actually be Cesar but acted by Geoff but I don't remember exactly
@@Amandasera well, his range (and humour) is wide enough to do it, but there are better hills to die defending 😁
@@tessasilberbauer6219 exactly! I'll have to watch the BTS again however, either one of them, amazing!
The Voiceplay Wicked Medely has Rachel Potter and Emoni Wilkins and is an amazing arrangement that took Geoff almost 2 years. Highly recommend that
I second that... I still think it's the best thing they've done !
There are several collabs with Rachel Potter, all of them fantastic but Wicked is something special
Also throwing my hat in the ring for this one.
Agreed 😊😊😊😊
Definitely this one
No one in VoicePlay knows how to stay in their lane. "Just one thing" never occurs to them.
Fun fact: when Geoff says "True? Yes" there's no special effects going on. He simply forgor to mute his voice-stealing spell and his eyes were actually glowing purple, and they decided to leave it in. What, you think I haven't noticed? Geoff has something like a 4-5 octave vocal range. He's absolutely amazing.
I lost it how he said “I’m scared and arroused!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Geoff’s screams are freaking amazing. Also I agree that J None is the Sebastian we all need and deserve.
With how good Geoff is with his voice, you can't convince me he isn't a siren in human form! XD lol.

Bumping this up the comment list.
Now if you ever hear/see "snailed it" in anything VoicePlay you know where it came from. Lol
If Geoff’s high notes get you here…Oogie Boogie will kill you. His scream in this one was the moment I fell in love with VP
We Don't Talk About Bruno is in fact an Encanto Medley. I'm sure you will love it. It's so much fun.

Geoff is purple because he's playing Ursula in the animated Little Mermaid. You made my day with your reaction. 🎼🎵🎶🎶🎵
According to the costumes, Eli is Flounder, Layne’s Louis the French chef, J’None is Sebastian, and our bass man Geoff is Ursula. And their guest is of course Ariel.
I challenge that statement with Scar - Be Prepared; and I would do absolutely anything to hear either Geoff or Voiceplay sing that.
Layne has like 4 daughters, he must have seen the movie daily for years, so his knowledge of every aspect of the music and voices really paid off.
He has a 5 octave range. J None is in the Navy. Got my smile for the day. They did Phantom with her. She is also in The Greatest Showman medley.
Voiceplay did a phantom of the opera cover with Rachel Potter and it was phenomenal!
I really hope you react to that soon!
Also Snail None had a huge impact on all of us for sure 🤣

“Geoff’s taken a back seat backstage this time.”

I love how Eli dresses up as Scuttle for this video and Rachel is amazing how she can sing like Ariel but also as Ursula using Ariel’s voice.
Eli is dressed as Flounder from the animated movie
They have done Phantom of the Opera, check it out.
Interesting - the last "Sing it with me now" in the final song - was J.None. That's why you see Geoff look back confused.
Love your reactions.
Voiceplay have done Phantom of the Opera, Frozen 2 and have done Go the Distance from Hurcules.
SpeakinG of Rachel, She has a colab with Voctave of I put "I Put a Spell on You + Poor Unfortunate Souls" and Rachel completely goes off.
Ohh I gotta see that!
I think that I have watched this reaction about 6 times. It's just so joyful and fun, I can't stop smiling!
VoicePlay has done Hercules' Go the Distance! They have also done stuff from Aladdin, but only as part of medleys.
Geoff has a 5-octave range. He's a unicorn
*You gotta watch their Wicked Medley.*
Of all these I'd most highly recommend their Wicked Medley. I love all four of these videos, but the Wicked Medley is on another level in my opinion. It's a 7 minute long *beast* of an arrangement that took Geoff almost 2 years to put together. Besides it shows all of them at their best - It tugs at your heartstrings and makes you smile all at the same time.
Voiceplay did a Phantom of the Opera song. It's an old one, but it is DEFINITELY worth listening to!
Geoffsula is my favorite character ever! I enjoyed your reaction, thanks!
In addition to Bruno, they did also do a short of Surface Pressure, which is pretty good.
they did a medley called queen in 5 minutes. you may like that one
Geoff actually said he was trying to portray Ursuala as the devil trying to get someone to make a deal
Again: it’s okay to have a crush on Voiceplay. Both as a unit and as individuals. 😂
They haven't done all of Hercules, but they've done Go the Distance with E.J. Cardona (Omar's older brother, from Voctave).
They do Panic at the Disco medley. It's called Panic in 5 mins. There are 2 parts but you should watch both in the same reaction. PLEASE!
You MUST do their Wicked Medley. Rachel is also in that and absolutely KILLS Defying Gravity! The whole Medley is incredible. And Rachel has done musicals, including the touring company of Wicked.
Thanks for another awesome reaction, your reactions were emotional, nerdy and great to watch!
To get a good examples of range try Geoff - "Blackbird" and Tim Foust-"Will you still love me tomorrow/Stay"
I think Shenandoah woud be better
Good news, Voiceplay did do Phantom with Rachel Potter 👍. It's an older video but still a good one. You get to see/hear Tony as part of the group too. He was the Baritone in the group before J None and is now co-owns and runs Pattycake Studios with Layne, which is where VP film most of their videos. He is often involved in the filming, set designs and costuming for the videos.
Great reaction
My favorite is Eli (a little bit underrated in my opinion)
They release a new song (only in Patreon but I m sure release on RUclips very soon) I can t wait to see your reaction
But before this song please react to voiceplay My mother told me ( they are Viking !!!) please
Rachel Potter and Voiceplay do Phantom Of The Opera it's very good.
You need to watch the oogie boogie song with voice play, Geoff does that song SO GOOD!
VP did a cover of Go the Distance from Hercules a few years back with EJ Cordona (Omar’s brother) and it’s amazing.
I'm just gonna start by saying that you have quickly become one of my fav reactors. I LOVE watching you go down this Voiceplay rabbit hole, and your Linkin Park one hit me hard the other day as well. I'm sure people have already touched on these, based on your commentary:
-There IS a Phantom of the Opera ft.
And she sang the Ursula part with Voctave, which tickles me funny.
Was it a carrot cake? 😂
It's not an all female group, but check out Voctave for some amazing female vocals.
Edit 2: Not quite Voiceplay or A capella, but Michael Korte put together a group of amazing singers to do a Hercules medley that’s worth a watch(linked below)
ruclips.net/video/T_hRfk4VZHs/видео.html
Sorry to ramble, but you seem to like things I like in music, and I love sharing and watching others discover new, amazing sounds/bands.
Here is a link to the preview. Strap yourself in!! Oops! Forgot the link: ruclips.net/user/shortsG7EHjzg5lcs?feature=share
You should check their cover of gonna make a change- Michael Jackson; can’t help falling in love and bridge over troubled waters ❤ I can’t make you love me is a good one they did too
All female a capella... Citizen Queen... Co-founded by Scott Hoying of Pentatonix! Check out Evolution of Girl Bands... or Killing Me Softly... 🔥🔥
Thanks!
Rachel’s voice is bonkers! She is fantastic in their wicked medley and Moana medley you should definitely check them out
You Sir, just got a new fan.
So good!

Citizen queen is a female acapella group!! They were founded by Scott from pentatonix and are VERY GOOD
FYI - VoicePlay has done
Phantom of Opera
Hercules - go the distance
Aladdin - friend like me
They did Go The Distance with EJ Cardona from Voctave (Omar's brother), Phantom of the Opera with Rachel as Christine (it's an old lineup with Geoff with short hair and Tony still in the group), and they also have the ACA Top 10s that were sung live: Disney Heroes, Disney Sidekicks, and Disney Villains.
Citizen Queen is an all female acapella group founded by Scott from Pentatonix
Voiceplay did a rendition of Phantom of the opera with Rachel Porter, but it’s several years old. It’s when they first started doing videos, but it is still phenomenal
This is one of my most favorite reactions ever!! Thanks for the awesome reaction! I loved all your quirky comments.
You really need to react to Pentatonix. They are the GOATs, and includes a wonderfully talented woman!
They do a Panic at the Disco set of videos you'd appreciate. Also some Paramore vibes in Good 4 You, I believe. Their Phantom is wonderful as well.
Citizen Queen is an all woman acappella group started by Scott Hoying of Pentatonix.
I hope you're sitting down....they've already done Hercules "Go the Distance". ;)
Cannot get enough of your reactions DJ, please please please keep em coming!

🎶❤🎶 Disney + Voiceplay 🎶❤️🎶
They DID The Phantom with Rachel! It’sas Amazing as you can imagine and their first theatrical video that has Tony and Earl 🎭
Great reaction!! You are so funny!! Thank you.
Also...the "you get one thing!" rant was giving me Nick Miller "You get one wife!" and I'm absolutely here for it...😂
Geoff has everything.. Oogie Boogie - you will see his range! I cant wait to see it!
