Hi everyone! Wanted to clear up a couple things! I used the phrase “I’m an artist not a crafter, I can’t do crafts” crafters ARE artists! What I meant was, I am the type of artist who draws not the type of artist who makes crafts, or writes/sings songs, etc. the umbrella of an artist is so large! I just didn’t perhaps use the correct term whilst speaking/should’ve said I’m a painter/drawer/sketcher? Type of artist? I know a lot of you know exactly what I meant but some of you perhaps took it to heart I meant otherwise. I can assure you I think crafters are just as much artists as people who draw. Sometimes what I mean and what I say when speaking fast doesn’t always mean it how I mean it in my head, so yes to clarify - crafters are artists, musicians are artists, I’m the type of artist who draws not the type of artist who is good at crafts (if you watch to the end you’ll see me fail at them greatly) Secondly, YES I have got Jazzas art box on the way and will be reviewing it when it gets to me. But it doesn’t ship until the end of July :)
It's sad how these big companies are getting into the monthly subscription boxes and they are all trash. That box shouldn't be more than $20 with shipping.
@Emily Cooper True, but this kit is ambiguous in the respect that it's supplies are VERY cheap and definitely beginner grade ( Edit: Wrong crappy subscription box) with a cost that could and should have included artist grade supplies. The contents of this box is not even close to its $40 price tag. Also, why did they put pretty pastel clay creations on the outside of the box, but not provide the colors of clay to recreate them? I'm not saying the box is a terrible idea, but is poorly curated and the price is ridiculous, ESPECIALLY if it's marketed for children.
20 is generous honestly. At my craftstore I go to I could probably get everything individually for maybe 12 dollars before tax. (Not counting the disgusting smoothie whatever-it-was.) The activity instructions also are worthless because little craft pamphlets like that usually can be found for free at stores.
She paid 50 dollars for it. But she accidentally said 40 throughout the video that’s why she kept putting up the picture of the 50 dollars to correct herself. Just clarifying :)
I did the math: Using the CHEAPEST price for each item on Amazon, Dollar Tree and Walmart, the value of ALL of these items isss....*drumroll* $25.91 (Sneakz Organic Veg Milkshe single= $2.73 Crayola Magic Model Clay single= $1.27 Crayola washable acrylic paint single= $1.39 (per 2 ounce bottle) Marble Post-its= $2.99 Crayola perm markers single= $1.60 Paintbrush= 40¢ Unfinished wooden shapes= $1.49 Clock dials (with battery box)= $4.79)
Where the hell did they come up with, "50$ value?" That's such a lie it's ridiculous. I'm so pissed and I wasn't the one who bought this. Makes me not want to buy anything crayola ever again.
I looked up the items (even the drink) and it's a value of roughly $26, nowhere near $50 and definitely not worth nearly $40 crayola is a dissapointment lol

I thought the clock was a really good idea and I really like how’s yours turned out. The box doesn’t seem to know it’s target audience though, it’s charging (kids!) so much for so little and the quality of the materials just doesn’t live up to the price. I bet you could buy everything separately for less.
its for children though. and if you buy all of the art supplies separate crayola said the value was 50. if i was 8 i wouldve loved to have had this. im a painter and a baker now, so of ofc now i wouldnt, and im only 17 so i feel if i wasnt an artist at this age i prob would still love it as something to do with my cousins. it legit said kids paint on the box, parents want paint that can easily wash out, not quality paint that its hard to wash out and is a hardewr medium to work with than thinner washable paint for kids. i had model magic at the age of 9 and i personally loved it. it was just fun, i do not think 6-12 year olds are thinking about making high quality art, rather than a artist like chloe would. also they didnt use plastic for the environment, something a bigger company wouldnt care about. amazon art supplies are higher quality but for one pack of paint brushes i got SO much plastic. so i feel for kids for making something for fun that they will forget about a week later, its not worth ruining the environment. the last thing is if you bought all of these items from a higher rated art supplies store, it would be way more than forty dollars, so for kids using it just to destroy it seems unnecessary. i just feel its ab perspective.
The really insulting thing is not only did these supplies not add up to the price you paid ($37) but it claims to be a $50 value. It's barely a $20 value, if you're being generous.

@@LaynieFingers I don't know, I've had milkshakes or chocolate/strawberry/vanilla milk that came in cartons like that and didn't need refrigerated. And they used real milk. So it's quite possible.
@@LaynieFingers Mmmmmm Room temp, shelf stable up to 50 years, preserved in a paper box, "milk". Hmmmm if only we had something to go with it. Oh look! There's some chocolate cookies filled with hydrogenated oil , I mean frosting ,with a shelf life of forever. Perfect. Hahaha
I actually crunched the numbers when it came to the paints, model magic, clock, and even the milkshake drink. This box is legitimately a scam because it's not even close to a $50 value. It's valued at a grand total of $26.43. 5 Model Magic Packets - $5.13 4 Crayola Washable Paints - $4.23 1 Random Milkshake Drink - $.20 1 Crayola Paintbrush - $.37 1 Amazon Wooden Clock Face - $6.55 1 Amazon Clock Mechanism - $9.95 (at the highest)
So, if memory serves from when I used to work at Michael's (in New York, for New York prices) : the model magic looks like the same amount as in the normal retail package, which they sell for 5 dollars. So, that would be 25 dollars. The paints sold for 3 dollars each, so 12 dollars. Patterned cardstock was 50 cents, those crappy Crayola brushes were like 3 dollars for 2, so call it 1.50, and the wood blank, especially that thin, would be like 4 dollars, and the clockwork kits were like 6 dollars. That's around 50 dollars, but Noone who shops in Michael's more than casually does so without coupons and/or bumming the employee discount, so you'd never pay that much. Also, off hand, you could also go to the same store and spend 40 dollars on the following: a 5 pack of 16x20 canvases ($20), a 25 pack of assorted brushes ($5), a 5 set of assorted pallets ($5), and a 16 pack of assorted acrylic bottle paints ($8). Its why I always tended to just get customers to just buy normal art supplies when they wanted to get their kid stuff, but brand names sell.

Chloe, i think you should start opening art subscription boxes more often. i'd love to see your opinion on the monthly boxes and the art you'd create with the supplies provided. much love ❤️

Definitely not worth what they're asking for, I would see maybe 20 or 25 dollars. I feel like it's very kid oriented so for them to charge 40 dollars is a little silly. As far as the paint brushes they don't really have good quality brushes at all from what I can recall but I think they could do different levels for products. So they could do a lower price point for the cheaper supplies and maybe a little higher for their premium supplies.
its for children though. and if you buy all of the art supplies separate crayola said the value was 50. if i was 8 i wouldve loved to have had this. im a painter and a baker now, so of ofc now i wouldnt, and im only 17 so i feel if i wasnt an artist at this age i prob would still love it as something to do with my cousins. it legit said kids paint on the box, parents want paint that can easily wash out, not quality paint that its hard to wash out and is a hardewr medium to work with than thinner washable paint for kids. i had model magic at the age of 9 and i personally loved it. it was just fun, i do not think 6-12 year olds are thinking about making high quality art, rather than a artist like chloe would. also they didnt use plastic for the environment, something a bigger company wouldnt care about. amazon art supplies are higher quality but for one pack of paint brushes i got SO much plastic. so i feel for kids for making something for fun that they will forget about a week later, its not worth ruining the environment. the last thing is if you bought all of these items from a higher rated art supplies store, it would be way more than forty dollars, so for kids using it just to destroy it seems unnecessary. i just feel its ab perspective.
Thanks for the video, I was looking forward to your opinion on this box when you said you were ordering it on Twitter. Seems like you can save yourself a ton and just buy the materials at the store yourself 💜
😳 😒 *What **_crap-ola_** !! I'd stick that right back in the mail, return to sender, and request a refund. They're overcharging because of their brand name, and that's just wrong. (Plus, I'd **_love_** to know exactly where they got that "$50 value" estimate from! They must include the price of the box, packing materials, and hourly wage of the person who packaged it.) 😂 Lol... Srsly tho, tfs and taking one for the art team, so we don't happen to make the same mistake. Appreciate you!* ☺👍
Your painting is beautiful!! Fun video! I always love to see you try new & different things because it is so very entertaining :) I do agree with your assessment of the Crayola box. I mean, kids would be excited to get it in the mail and all, but parents would know it's not a good value. What would be better is if parents created their own art & craft project boxes once a month for their kids to "unbox" and get creating. Busy moms and all that, so maybe just do it every other month. At least until a better option is developed.
I agree with you, they should work on the price point. Also that paintbrush ain't it😩 I hate when art companies provide these brushes which we don't end up using because of the quality! P.S. that stitch plushie in the bg is so cute 🧡
Ok, I got my first scralwrbox this month (about £15 I think) and, while it had less supplies, they were incredible quality. There was a water brush, muted watercolours with a graphite tone, 6 sheets of watercolour paper (I’m talking really good quality, 140lb / 300gsm, cold pressed) and a graphite colour watercolour pencil (the challenge this month was to do with watercolour obviously). And for less that half of the price for this. Wholly worth it.
Zach is such a sweetheart. He does so much for people! ♡. I think the paints looked like they're pretty decent! I gave my neices some of the glitter paint and I'm pretty happy I had!
Oh my goodness 😂😂 that intro!! I bought your print and I'm so excited as it is the first print I have ever bought!! 😂😁😁😁 thank you Chloe for inspiring me so much!! Also I think the link is broken so I just googled it and it comes up fine👍
I'm the other way around, so I totally got her comment! (not offended at all, I mean) I'm consider myself a pretty good crafter, but I couldn't paint anything like that picture even if 10k was up for grabs. (I have no idea how I did so well in my art classes lol)
Aww my heart you were so excited for the call !!! Aww you seem like a lovely person Chloe! Even if it was a wrong number you were probably pleasant to talk to 😊
that is way overpriced for what you are getting considering you could go to walmart or even a doller store and get a lot of craft supplies to keep kids entertained for a long time for that money
As a mom who has purchased these supplies separately for her kids all the time... It is so over priced it is silly. Crayola needs to bring it down to 25 because thats about the cost of those things (I'm Canadian so 25 Canadian is all I would pay.)
I think most of the money goes towards the name brand itself. The supplies do come out to be a cheaper price than $40, but it's all because it's a well known supply name and most likely because parents would think it's more on the cheaper side of subscription boxes and could keep the kid busy for a while. Although, I do have to admit that the box did teach a craft skill pretty well, despite the box being over priced and a little disappointing. It made paint pouring a learnable skill for an aspiring young artist with the pamphlet's visual and verbal instructions- covering two of the few learning types- and even showed them that crafting "with a budget" was possible. If the price could go down at some point then I'd totally buy this box for my younger cousin!
It's cool that you showed the art you did for the collab! I don't even watch that other channel but I clicked immediately when I saw you and Vexx on the thumbnail XD
I agree the box was suck, but the clock stuff is a bit more. 9.99 is generally what the clock bits cost plus 5.99-7.99 for the wood. Still is not 50 bucks worth of stuff and the box sucks. Edit: I'm more crafty than artistic. I'm better at crafts than drawing or painting. I love resin pour painting and making geodes.
Exactly. I have bought a make your own wooden clock kit (just a little bit smaller than this one in the video) and it cost me £3.99 which included the wooden circle clock face as well as the clock mechanism.

bboyias exactly...was just about to say that...you can get a whole set of six brushes like those for $1...lol
When you said crayola i knew it was going to be bad
Chloe: Talking about the art
Phone: DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU DU
Chloe: Im PoPuLaR!
Appallingly over priced. So disappointed, especially if I were buying this to share unboxing joy with my kids.
GIRLL... please tell me im not going mad and you have a SW English accent because... I live in Cornwall & I feel comfort listening to your voice hahah!
I’m from Dorset!! So you’re spot on hahaha, Cornwall is lovely!

Chloe: IM POPULAR SOMEONES CALLING ME
*pause*
Chloe: it was a wrong number
Me: honestly what a mood
Also the website says there aren’t any products available, will the bear painting be on it soon??
It's up now!! Sorry for the delay!
@@ChloeRoseArt hi
Chloe Rose Art it’s ok! Going to ask my parents if I can get it now!!
Chloe I just love you! I'm a self taught painter/crafter/jewelry maker and I always love learning new tips and art styles! Thanks for your videos, I love how positive you are and you always teach me something new! ❤️
"A blue Zebra" - Chloe 2019😔✊

Me: a blue zebra
I can't wait for the Jazza unboxing! I bought your print can't wait to get it x
Awww Gary thank you so much!!! 😭
It’s hilarious how they had the AUDACITY to include a milkshake tho
Chloe, i think you should start opening art subscription boxes more often. i'd love to see your opinion on the monthly boxes and the art you'd create with the supplies provided. much love ❤️
I agree
The painting you made in ZHC’s video was amazing! 🤩 I am not good at painting, but I keep trying!
Thank you for showing is your painting you did at the challenge.I saw the video(which you guys were strong out there) and we were only to see your finish look for a second and really wanted to see the details so thank you :) ot csme out incredible! You are also saving us money to really see the value of the boxes and see what its worth it.Youre the art hero 😁💜
Love your giant stitch in the corner he is so adorable 🤗😍 Stitch is my favorite Disney character 💙💙 Also so love your videos🤗
I really appreciate that you have both a Stitch teddy and a Stitch figurine in this one shot alone. He's my favourite Disney character too
Someone please inform SaltEcrafter about this box.
She did do it.. but Chloe was way wayyy too nice
I would definitely NOT sign up for that subscription box. Thanks for trying these out! I love watching your videos!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the video, I was looking forward to your opinion on this box when you said you were ordering it on Twitter. Seems like you can save yourself a ton and just buy the materials at the store yourself 💜
Love the giant stitch plush in the background! ❤️❤️
Same....it is so cute😍
Same
love your vids❤ they always make me laugh
that moment of silence was so funny 2:11
Chloe : OH This feels like clay!
Me: *What did you think model magic is..?*
*NO HATE INTENDED* (Just thought it was funny.
I LOVE your painting!! It’s beautiful!! Also, you are an amazing painter and I love how honest you are!!
I'm delighted and also kind of offended at how nice you were about this box! Lol!
I like how she’s not nerdy crafter and she doesnt have high expectations for kids/cheap companies!:) Chloe is an amazing RUclipsr
*phone rings**hands up and surprised face*
“i’m popular!”
that made me subscribe
"so there are prints coming out: only 100 will ever be made-"
*pauses video... goes to description...clicks on link*
Ahh! Oh no! I hadn’t heard of this box before this video! I will DIY you a craft box next time! Haha! 😂🙈
Appreciate you!* ☺👍
When Chloe poured on the ‘marbling paint’ it looked like mouldy colgate toothpaste 🤣💜
Your painting is beautiful!! Fun video! I always love to see you try new & different things because it is so very entertaining :)
I do agree with your assessment of the Crayola box. I mean, kids would be excited to get it in the mail and all, but parents would know it's not a good value. What would be better is if parents created their own art & craft project boxes once a month for their kids to "unbox" and get creating. Busy moms and all that, so maybe just do it every other month. At least until a better option is developed.
I used the model magic for a school project but it was horrible to work with! I let it dry and even when it was "dry" it was still squishy
I LOVE your accent
I LOVE your videos
I LOVE your personality
Add it all together = the best art channel ever!
😀😃😁😍😋🤪🤩
I wouldn't pay more than $15 for that box. They sell better kits in walmart
Zach is such a sweetheart. He does so much for people! ♡.
I think the paints looked like they're pretty decent! I gave my neices some of the glitter paint and I'm pretty happy I had!
I thought the thumbnail said "im so hungry"
I guess thats what i get for being hungry
You’ve just gotten a new subscriber!
Love your videos Chloe! You’ve helped my art improve!
Oh my goodness 😂😂 that intro!! I bought your print and I'm so excited as it is the first print I have ever bought!! 😂😁😁😁 thank you Chloe for inspiring me so much!! Also I think the link is broken so I just googled it and it comes up fine👍
That’s. literally the most beautiful painting i’ve ever seen
‘Trying to hide disappointment’
‘Be nice it’s just a paint brush’
If this doesn’t describe me on a daily basis I don’t know what does 🤣
I can see why they stopped the subscription box. It's terrible.
Don't worry. You're not alone in the 'good at art, bad at crafts' - zone. 😂I'm in there too...
I'm the other way around, so I totally got her comment! (not offended at all, I mean) I'm consider myself a pretty good crafter, but I couldn't paint anything like that picture even if 10k was up for grabs. (I have no idea how I did so well in my art classes lol)
I'm also the opposite - decent at crafting, couldn't paint or draw to save my life. I totally get where she's coming from!
Chole:I'm not a parent....
Yet
Fans: ÖöÖöÖöÖöÖöÖöÖöÖöÖ
Give me like...7-10 years 🤣
Chloe : im popular somone,s calling me
Me: nobody calls me 😢😢
Chloe: oh its a wrong number
Me: yay someone is the relatable
LOL
As a mom who has purchased these supplies separately for her kids all the time... It is so over priced it is silly. Crayola needs to bring it down to 25 because thats about the cost of those things (I'm Canadian so 25 Canadian is all I would pay.)
for me its "Oh Im popular someones calling me!" "oh hey mom..."
“I’M POPULAR SOMEONES CALLING ME!”
“...I just- it was a wrong number..”
Why is that so relatableeeee 😫
This is Smart Art vs SuperRaeDizzle all over again
I can legit imagine happy little kids giving those smushy jewellery dishes to their mothers on her birthday 🎂
Did anyone else notice what she said at 7:41?!
I'm not a parent, YET
Those paints they sell for $1.79 at Michael's craft supplies by me. P.s. as a parent I feel that box is way overpriced.
When you said “I’m not a parent *yet*”
I DIED!!😭
Ur children would be amazing!!
Love your videos!!!
All the people who disliked work at Crayola 😂
Or they bought the box because they love crayola and are so butthurt about wasting their money that they refuse to admit defeat.
Jael that’s a good point
It's cool that you showed the art you did for the collab! I don't even watch that other channel but I clicked immediately when I saw you and Vexx on the thumbnail XD
SmartArt has competition I see
Hey Chloe ! I love the painting u did! It is amazing!! So i just had to get a print ❤ cant wait to get it !
I'm not sure where you're paying 6 dollars for a plywood circle, but you need to go elsewhere.
Exactly. I have bought a make your own wooden clock kit (just a little bit smaller than this one in the video) and it cost me £3.99 which included the wooden circle clock face as well as the clock mechanism.
I broke down laughing when I saw your reaction to the milkshake 😂😂😂😂
Where did you get that stitch in the back
I love stitch
Might be this one? www.shopdisney.com/stitch-plush-large-25-1470711
Thanks
Kayley Meredith thanks
If anyone wants Floam, Michael's usually has multi packs with lots of colors in the kids toys section. You're welcome.
I’m also an artist, I love drawing and painting. But I’m never very good at crafts! And I’m so glad to know that it’s not just me 😆
"I'm an artist, not a craftster"
i can relate
love you
💕✨ love you too see you in a couple months!!!
As a parent on a budget I can 100% confirm you hit the nail on the head
