I have just started using ohuhu markers at the beginning of this semester as an architect major. I am a very beginner artist, but they have made my sketches and renderings look absolutely professional. One of my professors, who was very keen on us using the expensive copic markers, even said I could use them as long as my colors were closely matched (which I’ve had no difficulty doing btw). Truly a wonderful, affordable brand for beginners.
Oh! Thank you for telling me that! I was looking, for, a good, and cheap marker brand for my pass time. Oh *HU HU* markers seem amazing, and very affordable!
@@backbak100 that’s why I’m here. I appreciate all the helpful comments. I’m on a fixed income and I dreaded looking for something satisfying that I could also afford. This was much easier than deciding on a mechanical pencil model/brand. Lol
I am getting some for my birthday in may I am a 12 almost 13 year old and I have always wanted some I have watched drawingwiffwaffles for awhile now and she inspired me to get back in to drawing and it is my dream to become a artist so thank you for the feedback
I'm so glad this video series has helped so many people! THANK YOU for watching and making this and other (upcoming) exciting content possible!! If you haven't, make sure you're subscribed with the notification bell rung so you have a shot that the epic goodies I'll be giving away!! Much love and thanks! ❤
Yup, but I use spectrum noir because they are the only ones I can get in store. I like to oick out the colors and I can jave them then, not wait like 2 months till they arrive
Hey Jazza, if you see this (year later) Ohuhu is now up to over 200 colors and you can refill them. They don't tell you that, but since the brush tips are replaceable (Copic actually fits if you prefer them) you can just pull the brush or the chisel tip and drip the ink in just like Copic. In fact, you can use Copic nibs and ink for a half price version of the actual Copic markers. That might make an interesting video *hint *hint.
i feel the same but sad because ohuhu beat prismacolor. prismacolor is my brand because they are a quality brand and more available to me and cheaper compared to the other brand available, copic.
When ohuhu brings out refillers, they are going to sells like hot cakes and with that extra revenue they can launch a marker set that has as many colours as Copic. Having ohuhu in the industry is important because the more competitors the better and cheap deal for costumers. 😁 Since they don't have refilling option, Copic won. I am watching this video one year after you uploaded it but thoroughly enjoyed it.
@@islandsunsetand they expanded their range a lot over the last few years as well, with a total range now of 320 markers for $245 USD. They’ve also got nibs that you can flip, unlike Copic. So if your ohuhu marker nib starts to get wonky you can just pull it out and flip it without having to buy a new one.
I've used Ohuhu for about a year now and they are absolutely my favorite marker (I'm a bit biased though because I'm poor). I was rooting for them the whole time and it made me super happy that they got that far! I'm like a giddy, proud parent or something aha!
This gives me the impression that if Crayola had a MUCH wider color spectrum, they could probably become a more popular brush marker alternative to Copic (they look so smooth and bright and Crayola is a commonplace name, but limited colors is definitely a problem)
Same my mom can’t see spending like $60 on a set of not that many markers and I agree with her that’s kinda crazy at least for someone starting out like me so I’m happy that crayola are actually good and cheap
I just watched this as a beginner at art, and i use ohuhu, no way was i going to think it would make top two because i only bought it for its afordability. This made me really happy and made me stopped doubting if i should have got something 'better'
Being a digital artist, who doesn't have the skills or money for copics, I'd definitely pick the Ohuhu! They seem less complex and easier to work with than the copics for me personally!
As a small artist who struggles to buy art supplies because they are so expensive I would have picked the ohuhu markers just because of the quality is extraordinary considering the price you’re paying which it is something to take in consideration however if i had the money to buy the copics i would because the range of colors they have is unreal and the quality is amazing!! They are the winner winner chicken dinner 😁 Btw love you channel you’ve been a big inspiration for me✨
Also I would like to add that the crayola markers would be a great competitor if they extend their color range, it is a shame that they do not have more colors in their set
Personally living in a lower income family I would’ve definitely picked the Ohuhu markers to win simply because of the price and quality I would love to have copics but their just too expensive. These videos have been so fun to watch and thank you for taking the time to put them together.
For anyone watching this video over a year later, Ohuhu now has a 216 set of their brush pen markers for 164 USD. This makes it even more comparable to Copic, I believe, since the shade range is extensive from what I can see. I love this innovation since it really shows how competitive it can be to Copics. So instead of ~2500 USD for 360 markers, you can get 216 for 164!
i just got 320 ohuhu markers for $124 (converted from my currency) which were originally around $160 on offer, brush and chisel tipped, much better priced lmao
Wow. Can we all take a moment to appreciate this man's serious dedication to buying and testing all of these markers 👏 I would never have been able to choose a winner.
11:05 He just described drawingwiffwaffles and thats funny cuz her favorite markers to use are ohuhu, im impressed at how accurate jazza got with that wow 😳👏
@Valpurgis Tachyon responsible broke college students do exist you no, especially ones who take art classes cause teachers make you buy lists of expensive supplies your never gonna use again on top of regular classes textbooks your never gonna use again and can never sell back for nearly enough. Not to mention college students who don't live at home. I feel for those guys, with school and work they are super tired and barely awake enough to enjoy any savings. (I've got a couple of friends who don't hang out simply because they are beat on their off days, and I know more who specifically pack classes on their off days so they have none.
@beetlejoose I can appreciate your pettiness. I literally have 18 Copics. Them suckas is expensive as hell. I just sit back and appreciate others work with it. I chill with my Spectrum, Arteza, Nuvo, Crayola and Prismacolor. Now I'm heading to Amazon to pick up the line of Ohuhu.
That's not a good reason. I don't think that Copic is more expensive just to make more money. As both an artist and small business owner, I know it costs a fortune to have anything made into a physical product. For a company that developed markers that are refillable, and have 2 replaceable tips and has many colors to choose from DID cost them a FORTUNE! The Copic brand's years of research and development is what paved the way for other brands to follow. All those newer brands had to do was have the Copic inks analyzed for their composition, and copy them to the extent they wanted to in order to make their own refillable marker ink. So Copic leads the way, and reinvests their money on research and developing new and better products, that other companies that make markers replicate because they didn't need to spend their money and time to pay manufacturers, and then you bad-mouth them because they cost more. There's a reason. Just like better artwork or a better product costs more.
*IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE PURCHASING OHUHU MARKERS* The brush tip markers (as used by Jazza) are different than the dual fine tip markers which come in the larger colour set Having bought and used both I can say the fun and joy the brush tip offers FAR exceeds what the smaller fine tip gives. Yes.. you'll get more colours but OHUHU should wake up and offer the larger colour range with brush tip.. the extra costs are WORTH the pennies!!
ohuhu does currently offer their sets (including the 320 set) in with brush tips, the honolulu sets on their website include brush tips and on amazon (though not always available depending on stock) both are also available!
for christmas 2 years ago I asked for OHUHUs I didnt realize there was a difference between brush and fine tips, so I didnt think to specify. And my parents, being the best parents ever, got me the 200 pack of bullet nibs. I felt so bad because I didnt want those, but they spent so much to get them for me. I ended up telling my mom the truth, and we donated them to my art teacher.
Kingdragon 2430 ik ik im a digital artist to (or im trying to be ) BUT we all need to be good at both classic art and digital art :3 plz don't get mad at me
Dude... I ordered the Ohuhu markers for my girlfriend's upcoming birthday last month. We watch your videos together, so you can imagine the emotional rollercoaster I went through. I'm so glad Ohuhu made it to the finale!
Well here's one way we could go about it: As a beginner (pretty sure beginners don't start out super rich - reference to Jazza in the Passpartout and the Sims) we gotta give it to the Ohuhus, for THAT quality at THAT price. *Beginner artist slays with Ohuhus, gets popular, gets a few commissions, and then moves on to be a professional, with a wideee variety of clientelle* And now, just because of the WIDE variety of the colours available, increasing the versitility, and reducing the amount of blending required to get a certain colour, not in the Ohuhu range, and the ease of refilling, availability of refills, and the quality of ink and the ease of usage, the NOW professional and established artist can switch to the Copic Sketch. I hope I made sense. In terms of less range and cheap price required as a beginner, and the wider range required as a professional, Ohuhu and Copics, can be the TOP markers, at different stages of an artist's career. Thanks for reading. And now coming to the 'moving' part, I have been around watching the golden, spikey haired Jazza, and learned a lot of Character design from him. And.... Many many RUclipsr move onto Reacting and Giveaways and customisation way before the stage Jazza is at (which is kinda forgetting the whole purpose of the particular channel), but Jazza still continues to try out new things for the audience, and always continues to reach out to the community, like the phone call video? Geez. And that too, considering the fact he has two lovely little kids. Damn you, Jazza! Thank you for everything!
Hey Jazza, thank you so much for doing this crazy series. It helped me pick out my new set when I was just getting into alcohol inks. I would’ve kept using watercolor markers if I didn’t know alcohols can blend so well. So yes, this totally helped me. Thank you!
I purchased the Ohuhu for my daughter who has just started her own journey into the world of alcohol markers. I had no idea what to get as I myself have never used those types of markers. I was so glad to see them make it so far into the competition, it made me feel I truly made a good decision. She loves them. She has discovered a true love in drawing characters and would love to work in animation. Thank you for doing this as it has helped me understand her passion for drawing more and helped reassure me I was able to provide her with a pretty close to best option out of what is out there. For someone who is not familiar with this medium of art it’s a bit much to go through as you have showed. Great job!
That's honestly so amazing and supportive of you! ❤ I didnt even know about better quality art supplies growing up Haha. I've tried quite a few different markers and ohuhu are quite beautiful! They blend well, nice tones and the nibs are sturdy yet flexible :) shes a lucky girl and I bet she is growing and learning alot using them! Also I was wondering if she had an art page or instagram? I'm always for supporting other artists and would love to check out her stuff. All good if she is more private tho, no worries.
@@geminis1523 no due to her age we don’t do social media. But thanks for the support. She is loving the markers and uses them constantly. I love watching her skill grow
@@jessig8854 I was thinking that lol. Good on you for that btw! Social media isnt the best place for youngsters Haha. And thate awesome, I'm glad she likes them :) cheers!
I am thrilled that I bought Ohuhu markers at the beginning of the pandemic with zero research whatsoever. Tbh I've barely used them though because I'm one of those people that buys new stuff all the time thinking maybe THIS will be The Thing For Me™️ and I just couldn't immediately figure out how to use markers because I lack the ability to draw the things to color with the markers in the first place. The number of times I've bought new mediums and then remembered I still lack the foundational ability to make the right shapes appear on the paper ... is embarrassing.
Yea! Just colour! I’ve been colouring with my kids recently. All of us had pictures of dragons printed and been using some cheapo gel pens we picked up from the local cheap craft shop. I bought some ohuhu pens after watching this video as I don’t have the colours I wanted for the wings of my dragon! My plan is just to use these pens for colouring pics that I like when with the kids. I’m terrible at drawing although I’d love to learn
Ngl, after watching the two videos and the vlog, I've really opened up to realise how much Jazza would do for his community of artists. He would create some of funniest, inspiring, crazy and educational(?) Videos for young artists who are just starting out. Damn, even just watching three videos of him makes me motivated to do something (despite I literally forgot how to draw for the past couple of months and slowly re-learning my lost steps) Either way. Good stuff👍
There is no doubt that the Copic Sketch markers come out on top due to range. Right? But Jazza, I ordered your art box some months ago and received my art box in November, and in that box were a handful of the Spectrum Noir colors. YOU yourself said those *handful* of colors could go a long way, especially for beginners on a budget. And it appears that Ohuhu, being pretty cheap for their exceptional quality, actually stood as a finalist in your tournament up against the Copic Sketch markers! Which indeed says something about their quality. So this really does come down to range of color, and possibly a *minor* difference in quality. But consider this! The creative advantage having a limited range of color options has, *especially* for a beginner, but not so limited that a professional would feel the need to buy more, because I truly belive that the range of colors they provide is perfectly capable of holding its own. Imagine having the full range of Copic Sketch markers. My guess is, you'd feel a tad overwhelmed, as you should. Not only is the range of markers overwhelming, but as you said in this video, incredibly expensive! Which is a very important fact to consider. it is only $99 for 120 Ohuhu markers. *120.* Think about it. Jazza, you told us in your isntructional video on the Spectrum Noir markers that with the limited selection you gave us, we could create many different colors with the ones you provided! But Ohuhu gives you *120*! With that range, the absolute steal of a price, and a quality that clearly is comparable to *Copic*. *Freakin*. *Sketch.* It is clear to me that the real winner here, is Ohuhu. Edit: I would just like to say thank you Jazza, for the inspiration you gave me to create art with limitations. Alot of us here probably don't have the money to spend on alot of markers, or art supplies in general. So again, thank you!
Once you start taking into account copic refills the ohuhu aren't as cheap. If you use them often and buy refills of your favorite colors, the copic are both the cheapest and the best in the long run. They just require a bigger up front investment.
I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a complete blow-out though. Yeah, Copic is best, but there were some real contenders. Copic better watch its back.
Oh man, this was intense! I was sitting with my Ohuhu markers cheering them on while watching this. When they made the finals I got way more excited than I probably should...
I started watching your channel when you were in your first studio. It’s crazy and heartwarming to see how far you’ve come! Makin’ money moves, and growing! ❤️ I’ve just come to rewatch this short series because I loved it so much the first time. ❤️ you Jazza! You’re a man of many talents and passions. Don’t stop! 🙌🏻🙏🏻🤘🏻
I went into this video already knowing copic would win however I was impressed by how good the ohuhu markers performed. To me it almost seems like ohuhu are the poor mans copic and I think the ohuhu would be great for anyone who wants to get into markers but aren't ready to drop a fortune on copic.
Giveaway Entry: Perhaps they’re called Ohuhu because that’s the sound they made when they lost to Copic sketch :( They held their own and are fantastic markers, they deserved better.
I was excited to see ohuhu, such a small affordable market brand, make it to the finals. I also wanted to say I am surprised by your love of the crayola brush markers. I bought a set not long ago and used them on a few drawings. They were amazing for the price but I found that their relatively soft brush tip began to fray and bend after only a month of use. After two months they were completely unusable and I was disappointed because they were really good markers up to that point. I feel like if crayola put a little more money to the brush tip and a lot into the color range they could easily go head to head with copic.
Considering that Ohuhu now has 320 markers alcohol based with upcoming release of their refills and individual based marker purchases I would love to see him revisit Ohuhu.
I mostly draw digitally so I would have to go for the Ohuhu. They have great quality and are cheaper then copics. Plus I would only do professional work on digital so the ohuhus could be mostly for fun and practice with nice markers without spending a fortune. Thank you jazza for doing these videos and giveaways! It's cool to see creators giving back to their fans.
Roses are red, I'm a broke college student so while choosing my markers I am very prudent. Since Copics cost money and I am quite broke, the cheaper price of Ohuhu is absolutely no joke. I love artwork yet I suck quite bad, but if I were to pick any markers, it'd be Copics I would have. ^Giveaway entry?
This is crazy cool, thank you for all your work making this comparison and help thousands of people choose the right markers! I'm new in drawing, started with copic and yeah those are expensive, but there Ohulu worth a try I bet, you are the best!
It's thanks to you, at least I think, that a lot of people found out about Ohuhu. Even though a lot of us are on a budget we can still get a nice big set of quality alcohol markers. Thank you Jazza!
Honestly, I was so happy to see the Crayola represented so well. They were the first markers I ever used, and I only even tried them because they were so dirt cheap. Suffice it to say, I adored them. I loved them so much, that they inspired me to enroll in a commission competition for markers in my county. They might have had to create a whole new bracket for me (no one else was using them for sure), but I ended up getting second place in the entire competition. Second to, of course, the Coptic sketch. I love have since moved onto Ohuhu, and maybe one day I will make it to the Copic Sketch, but the Crayola will always stand out to me for being the reason I even got into marker art, when I had never even shown an interest in the subject at all. Without Crayola, I wouldn’t be able to do commissions today. So yeah. Shout-out to my boy Crayola and his 14 markers of quality and fun.
Thanks Jazza, for making these videos! Recently, I've been wanting to do art with alcohol blending markers but didn't know what brand was going to my money's worth (because these markers are expensive). This video and the one before have really helped in my search.
SUPRISE! I am the funniest YTer evah!!!! Just kidding, it was no surprise. Everybody knew already. HAHAHHAHA!!!! That was an amazing joke (it was real talk though). WAWAWAWAWA!!!! Good afternoon, dear cale
So happy to watched this video knowing Ohuhu went second to copic. As I just have completed the 320 sets after buying 4 sets of it separately due to limited funds. I think for now Ohuhu wins as they have refills already, not all the colors yet but their's more coming. Performance and affordability they won plus they sell individual and refills already. Thank you Jazza love watching your videos.
I am no artist but I have many artist friends. I contemplated buying a set of Ohuhu markers for a friend. So, I was so excited to see Ohuhu make it to the top two. They are very comparable to Copic markers and give artist such great quality for so cheap.
Giveaway: Personally, I think Ohuhu should win even though it is copic it is going against because for an artist it is so much better to afford. Especially when your style of as art involves a lot of colours. Don't get me wrong though because copic is amazing, for me it just lacks that affordability when it is something like £7 or 8 for each individual marker. Also ohuhu has a really good brush tip that could be used in lots of different ways and it has really nice colours (in my opinion). Anyways, I love your videos Jazza and I hope you are staying safe (even when you are breathing all of these marker fumes😂). Baiii (Edit: 'Giveaway')
Yeah I agree! I feel like the colours are overall a lot brighter and it forces you as an artist to step out of that safe zone that most artists stay in (when they use only pastel and really light colours)
As a young person, I personally feel like he still should have give Ohuhu the win. The main reason of why this is my opinion, for younger people we dont need that much range in colours yet , for the price of $1000 is not worth something you can achieve with simmilar effects with Ohuhu. While I do think Copics as the winner wasn't necessarily a bad choice mainly because they are also very versatile and the main thing people have used for a long time. I feel like Jazza was a little bit biased considering that was what he has used for a long time but my win goes to Ohuhu they had the best suprise to me personally. While the "limit barrier" does exist, i do feel like for that price isn't worth it that much if Ohuhu had simmilar quality. I mean being in the finals with copic in an opinion with a profesional artist should already say something All in all i thought this was a very useful and informal video edit: i didnt want to make this comment like sappy or pitiful but my mother just recently lost her samsung tab because of me amd i feel really guilty i didnt intend on winning the samsung tab but if i did i would have given it to my mom 😔
He addressed it in the video though. As a professional that relies on alcohol based markers, Copic wins. But as a hobbyist or starting artist, Ohuhu would win. 🤷🏻♀️ They’re both great but there is a reason Copics are $8 a marker.
Loved your method and criteria of analysis; your comedic approach, and providing viewers with an informed choice (one I could never have made it through alive!)!!! Thank you!!!
I would really love to hear more about Jazza’s personal opinions and thoughts on the Ohuhu marker brand! I hope the Ohuhu markers get a video of their own :3 highly recommend their brush and chisel tip!
I was watching the video without translating into Arabic because my English is a little weak, but because I noticed that the Arabic translation is available in the video and I finally understood it. I hope that you activate the Arabic translation so that we can see it. Thank you. The video is beautiful. 🌸🥺🤍🍒😭
Right ✅️! My heart leaped because if I have to get more alcohol markers I don't want to turn up missing out on other hobby buys because my marker buy broke my budget. Lol 😅 I saw the color bright and blend and I was like Yeesss! Woo! Lol If you have tried the Crayola did they work as you had hope with your style of art? 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
They are on Amazon, the Bullet Nib ones and the brush Nib ones. They also don't need long to arrive, I think it took 2 days for them to arrive at my German doorstep
Watching these two vids was so worth it I enjoyed every painful moment you went through to finally reach your goal. Well done, congratulations. Now you really need a vacation!!!
I feel like it depends on type of artist. like for a professional, yes the Copic wins I agree. BUUUUT if you're just someone who's doing art as a hobby, then the Ohuhu has got to be the big winner.
ikr! I bought mine a year ago, a few weeks before the rebranding. the packaging was very meh, a few markers were already dry when I received them and overall the quality wasn't that great (+ they didn't have brush nibs)
i was very lucky to get a range of 40 copic ciaos for hannukah though and I love them dearly. They're far more expensive but I can refill them. Btw i wouldn't recommend picking a set of copic sketch/ciaos unless you buy them in Japan (very good deal good on you) because you'd save up 2$ at most... pick you own colours, I was inspired by the japanese copic set 12502074
For giveaway: I've only started doing art recently and it's really nice to see what markers are there that could stand with copic. And to think that a student grade marker could actually work well haha. Although in here, I'm mostly stuck with Touchnew markers and its relatives 😂
Is it just me or does anyone else think OHUHU should have one: PROS: -cheaper price -available to a bigger audience -good marker design -blend well CONS: -less colours than copic sketch
The give away: It's not that Copic Sketch markers aren't GREAT markers, but they're almost intimidating for younger artists like myself to use. Although they have an obviously amazing range of colours (did you like my aussie spelling, jazza?) , blend extremely well and are high-value markers, overall the price is just too high and the markers are not the best option for NEWER artists. On the other hand, the Ohuhu markers are fun, blend well and have a fairly good range of colours of course and are a lot more friendly in feel and appearance in my opinion. Not to mention much more affordable which definitely bumps them up a few notches. I think I understand where you're coming from as an experienced artist who knows your way around the Copic Sketch markers because obviously they're just super great markers and very reliable. But I would have chosen the Ohuhu markers simply because they're affordable, less intimidating to beginners, and are great markers for their price (they blend well, the colours are vibrant and fun and they appear easy to use for the most part based on your drawing). So yes. Hope that made you tear up Jazza because I sobbed my eyes out while reading that, shake my head. Great video! Look forward to the next!
this is a great point! however, i do agree with Jazza in saying that when it comes to professional art that you could make a profit out of, the copic sketch will do just a little better. See, ohuhu markers aren’t refillable, meaning that once you run out of one you have to buy a whole new marker, not just the ink. They also cannot be bought separately, they have to be bought in packs. so if you dry out one of your markers you will have to buy a whole new entire pack. Copic marker ink refills are about $10AUD, but they contain enough ink to refill your marker quite a number of times! Overall if you aren’t taking commissions you will end up spending a lot more money on the ohuhus over time than you will copics. But yes i do see how young artist are i guess frightened of using them, because of the high price it seems quite scary to start using. I would buy Copic Ciao markers, as i am a young-ish artist myself and i found that the quality was much the same as it’s ‘siblings’ and it was less intimidating to begin with using them :)
I agree. However, the other reply on this thread noted the long-term prices. I have had my Ohuhu pack for over a year now and haven't run out of ink. That being said, I don't use my set on a daily basis. When I do, I haven't noticed any problems. I would say that the Copic markers are def better for more professional artists that are willing to pay top dollar for top choice.
@@wiselife3532 , you're 100% right. i didn't consider that, being refillable is totally a huge bonus and very important for high quality markers. Thanks for telling me!! (Although I don't have the $$$ to afford either, if I did I would seriously think about this lol)
For the giveaway: I’ll probably have gone for the ohuhu markers. Reasons: 1. I’m probably not talented enough to use all these colours in the best and professional way. 2. The chance is bigger that you’ll buy a cheaper one first. I won’t have the money to buy this now. Though, if you become more professional en familiar with these ohuhu markets it will be a fantastic upgrade for a more professional path. 3. It has great value in comparison with the price of these markers. Making it easier to buy and use in a amateur artist way. Anyways, I understand your choice but I still think, for a person like me, it would be the best choice to take a ohuhu marker. It may be a very small chance that you might read this, but I want to let you know that I (and we as a community) love your videos and content. It is a primary key to surviving the quarantine. Keep up the good work :)
I totally agree, me personally, I am more digital than anything but I would definitely go for the cheaper but quality option. Especially since I'm just starting college and money is definitely an issue😂
i think OHUHU coz It sounds like some kind of really exotic and punchy hawaiian cocktail i ABSOLUTELY loved the vibrancy of the colors the quality just seemed amazing The drawing by jazza that symbolised ohuhu was really fun (seems like someone that id like as a fren. {I need frens}) aaaaaaand im poor. So you can guess why id choose ohuhu over copic.
Ohuhu's customer service is also really nice and responsive, like if you for whatever reason run into a problem (not that it's likely but hey mistakes happen) they are super chill about it which I always find comforting for doing future purchases with them.
Come on Crayola, I remember those giant 120 piece crayon sets that had a sharpener ON the box. Why can we have that same quality AND quantity in a marker? 😂
I think ohuhu is simply the winner now because they are so much more affordable, come with refills, and now have 320 brush markers with is only 40 less than copics largest set
Jazza: Spends three and a half thousand dollars in alcohol markers. My parents: What are you watching? Me: A crazy Australian playing with 5 thousand dollars worth of alcohol

Believe it or not, Copics are more economical over time because of the refills, but Ohuhu work just as well as Copics and are cheaper up front.

Now it’s up to 300 I believe

I already have ohuhu so I was hoping they would win 😭😭
i feel the same but sad because ohuhu beat prismacolor. prismacolor is my brand because they are a quality brand and more available to me and cheaper compared to the other brand available, copic.
When ohuhu brings out refillers, they are going to sells like hot cakes and with that extra revenue they can launch a marker set that has as many colours as Copic. Having ohuhu in the industry is important because the more competitors the better and cheap deal for costumers. 😁
Since they don't have refilling option, Copic won. I am watching this video one year after you uploaded it but thoroughly enjoyed it.
And you're right!

They are the winner winner chicken dinner 😁
Btw love you channel you’ve been a big inspiration for me✨
Also I would like to add that the crayola markers would be a great competitor if they extend their color range, it is a shame that they do not have more colors in their set
Now another year later! Ohuhu has a new set of 320 markers and will be selling refills soon !!!!
And now 7 months later, copic sketch gets dethroned!
i just got 320 ohuhu markers for $124 (converted from my currency) which were originally around $160 on offer, brush and chisel tipped, much better priced lmao

Reason 1) Just to spite Copic for being so expensive
Reason 2) I'm a broke college student
@Valpurgis Tachyon responsible broke college students do exist you no, especially ones who take art classes cause teachers make you buy lists of expensive supplies your never gonna use again on top of regular classes textbooks your never gonna use again and can never sell back for nearly enough.
Not to mention college students who don't live at home. I feel for those guys, with school and work they are super tired and barely awake enough to enjoy any savings. (I've got a couple of friends who don't hang out simply because they are beat on their off days, and I know more who specifically pack classes on their off days so they have none.
@@demonheart13 My daughter is one of those work and Uni kids, she is a fricken Zombie for 3 yrs
*IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE PURCHASING OHUHU MARKERS*
The brush tip markers (as used by Jazza) are different than the dual fine tip markers which come in the larger colour set
Having bought and used both I can say the fun and joy the brush tip offers FAR exceeds what the smaller fine tip gives.
Yes.. you'll get more colours but OHUHU should wake up and offer the larger colour range with brush tip.. the extra costs are WORTH the pennies!!
ohuhu does currently offer their sets (including the 320 set) in with brush tips, the honolulu sets on their website include brush tips and on amazon (though not always available depending on stock) both are also available!
@@gavinburkhardt2402 That's the news I want to hear! Thank you!

Dude... I ordered the Ohuhu markers for my girlfriend's upcoming birthday last month. We watch your videos together, so you can imagine the emotional rollercoaster I went through. I'm so glad Ohuhu made it to the finale!
Well here's one way we could go about it:
As a beginner (pretty sure beginners don't start out super rich - reference to Jazza in the Passpartout and the Sims) we gotta give it to the Ohuhus, for THAT quality at THAT price.
*Beginner artist slays with Ohuhus, gets popular, gets a few commissions, and then moves on to be a professional, with a wideee variety of clientelle*
And now, just because of the WIDE variety of the colours available, increasing the versitility, and reducing the amount of blending required to get a certain colour, not in the Ohuhu range, and the ease of refilling, availability of refills, and the quality of ink and the ease of usage, the NOW professional and established artist can switch to the Copic Sketch.
Well, we have a winner
I totally agree! Jazza is someone I can always rely on :)
Dude you are going to win it’s just what’s going to happen
You can tell he gets his best ideas when drunk, and we love it!
So much same, honey. Hugs.
Try coloring maybe? Like print out artwork you like (on the right paper)
Dont Quit!
I feel exactly the same but I've been surprised at how much creativity you can feel when just doing colouring in.
Ngl, after watching the two videos and the vlog, I've really opened up to realise how much Jazza would do for his community of artists. This video made him thousands more, he'll be ok
How long did it take you to write this
Once you start taking into account copic refills the ohuhu aren't as cheap. If you use them often and buy refills of your favorite colors, the copic are both the cheapest and the best in the long run. They just require a bigger up front investment.
Bruh why this much effort
@@mnstrethereal7073 it really didnt take that long. Also, why not?

I was excited to see ohuhu, such a small affordable market brand, make it to the finals. I also wanted to say I am surprised by your love of the crayola brush markers. I bought a set not long ago and used them on a few drawings. They were amazing for the price but I found that their relatively soft brush tip began to fray and bend after only a month of use. After two months they were completely unusable and I was disappointed because they were really good markers up to that point. I feel like if crayola put a little more money to the brush tip and a lot into the color range they could easily go head to head with copic.
I guess Jazza didn't use the crayolas long enough for that to be a prolem.

*THE RETURN OF THE MARKER MADNESS*
Giveaway: Personally, I think Ohuhu should win even though it is copic it is going against because for an artist it is so much better to afford. Especially when your style of as art involves a lot of colours. Don't get me wrong though because copic is amazing, for me it just lacks that affordability when it is something like £7 or 8 for each individual marker. Also ohuhu has a really good brush tip that could be used in lots of different ways and it has really nice colours (in my opinion). Anyways, I love your videos Jazza and I hope you are staying safe (even when you are breathing all of these marker fumes😂). Baiii
(Edit: 'Giveaway')
I think ohuhu should win too I have ohuhu and I love them
I agree with every word of that🤪😇
Yeah I agree! I feel like the colours are overall a lot brighter and it forces you as an artist to step out of that safe zone that most artists stay in (when they use only pastel and really light colours)
I can’t believe my favorite markers made it so far. Good job Ohuhu!!!
Congratulations, you've officially accomplished more during the quarantine than I have.
Some how
As a young person, I personally feel like he still should have give Ohuhu the win.
I mean being in the finals with copic in an opinion with a profesional artist should already say something
All in all i thought this was a very useful and informal video
edit: i didnt want to make this comment like sappy or pitiful but my mother just recently lost her samsung tab because of me amd i feel really guilty i didnt intend on winning the samsung tab but if i did i would have given it to my mom 😔
I whole-heartedly agree!
I believe that this statement sums up all reasons why ohuhu should have won and I think that they should win the prize
I so agree!
He addressed it in the video though. As a professional that relies on alcohol based markers, Copic wins. But as a hobbyist or starting artist, Ohuhu would win. 🤷🏻♀️ They’re both great but there is a reason Copics are $8 a marker.
I can agreed with this tbh...
If you do this with miniature paint you would solve a decade old argument in the miniature community
Make this your next project Jazza!
Agreed
The minute I saw he was doing this I knew copic sketch was gonna win
Well that spoiled the whole thing
Who didn't sweety 😂
honestly
Red fr
Yep
I was watching the video without translating into Arabic because my English is a little weak, but because I noticed that the Arabic translation is available in the video and I finally understood it. I hope that you activate the Arabic translation so that we can see it. Thank you. The video is beautiful. 🌸🥺🤍🍒😭
Jazza could do little giveaways with all the markers he doesn't want (better than throwing them out)
Yess even though those "Touch" markers sucked, I would honestly love to have a pack
I assumed he would donate them to schools
Oo
I own 36 promarkers
You wanna pay for shipping for Jazza ?!
“Crayola is so professional ink”
I’ve never heard a better sentence. _happy broke artis noises_
where do you find them
@@donnachabeatty3742 probably online, i dont have any art stores neer me so idk
Ohuhu will always make me think of DrawingWiffWaffles.
If only their brush markers weren't so difficult to find in europe...
They are on Amazon, the Bullet Nib ones and the brush Nib ones. They also don't need long to arrive, I think it took 2 days for them to arrive at my German doorstep
Same she introduced me to ohuhu and I love then so much I even got a deal from her video uwu
@@mosu1728 I have been looking, but I can only find the bullet nib ones. :(
Watching these two vids was so worth it I enjoyed every painful moment you went through to finally reach your goal. Well done, congratulations. Now you really need a vacation!!!
I feel like it depends on type of artist. like for a professional, yes the Copic wins I agree. BUUUUT if you're just someone who's doing art as a hobby, then the Ohuhu has got to be the big winner.
I 100% agree.
I really like my Ohuhu markers. The only problem: I bought them a few weeks before the ohuhu markers with the brush tip came out
ME TOOOOI :(

Thank you jazza for brightening up my days during this difficult time.
I love the analysis here! I know this was SO much work, but it seems like such a good time to be able to do this kind of deep dive for WORK! So cool 😊
Honestly i don't know a single thing about art and darwning or stuff, but let's be honest we enjoy your vids
Same here...😂
For giveaway:
I've only started doing art recently and it's really nice to see what markers are there that could stand with copic. And to think that a student grade marker could actually work well haha.
Although in here, I'm mostly stuck with Touchnew markers and its relatives 😂
Is it just me or does anyone else think OHUHU should have one:
PROS:
-cheaper price
-available to a bigger audience
-good marker design
-blend well
CONS:
-less colours than copic sketch
Yep.
and good tip
Another Con for ohuhu: doesnt have refills :(
Did anyone think he was gonna pick any other market other than copic sketch? I mean cmon
@@Sam-gj8se Ohuhu have started releasing them individually now! :) So they are working on it!
just love your art work and everything you put into your art pieces just the many colors you can use to make such beautiful art pieces
The give away:
It's not that Copic Sketch markers aren't GREAT markers, but they're almost intimidating for younger artists like myself to use.
@@wiselife3532 dang these people be writing essays so ima just say u could re fill a ohuhu marker with copic ink meanung it would be th same idk
Reasons:
Just for you explaination you should win them 😊
I support you, let him win ^-^
I totally agree, me personally, I am more digital than anything but I would definitely go for the cheaper but quality option. Especially since I'm just starting college and money is definitely an issue😂
i think OHUHU coz
It sounds like some kind of really exotic and punchy hawaiian cocktail
i ABSOLUTELY loved the vibrancy of the colors
the quality just seemed amazing
The drawing by jazza that symbolised ohuhu was really fun (seems like someone that id like as a fren. {I need frens})
aaaaaaand im poor. So you can guess why id choose ohuhu over copic.
Anderstreak Andrade I have ohuhu markers and they are truly great
Ohuhu's customer service is also really nice and responsive, like if you for whatever reason run into a problem (not that it's likely but hey mistakes happen) they are super chill about it which I always find comforting for doing future purchases with them.
Jazza's becoming the Mr beast of the art community🎨
what about ZHC
Nah that’s ZHC Jazza is his own better thing
@Mila Leila do you mean mr beast is annoying

Amazon: how many markers do you want
Jaza: YES
Come on Crayola, I remember those giant 120 piece crayon sets that had a sharpener ON the box. Why can we have that same quality AND quantity in a marker? 😂
I think ohuhu is simply the winner now because they are so much more affordable, come with refills, and now have 320 brush markers with is only 40 less than copics largest set
Jazza: Spends three and a half thousand dollars in alcohol markers.
My parents: What are you watching?
Me: A crazy Australian playing with 5 thousand dollars worth of alcohol
Lmao
@drew bard "it's to refil my markers"
its 5 thousand, Im dumb
