Thanks for chatting with me during your live stream. Here is list of my predictions. So I do have some ideas about what will happen in the next campaign, but didn’t have a place to share it so this is as a good place as any. Thanks for giving us the platform. 1. Matt is clearly giving the characters agency over what they do right now. But, the end has already been predetermined. Most if not all the gods will leave. The moon will be destroyed, but the planet will not as this is their playground. 2. The new setting will be much farther in the future, with no chance of cameos by players from campaign one two or three except for maybe Keke. 3. Divine abilities will continue as it did before the gods arrived, but drawing on other sources for their power. 4. We might see a shift in the elemental planes such as the plane of the gods will cease to exist. The current gods are keeping the arch phase from entering, but that won’t be the case anymore. 5. There will be at least two very powerful NPC Titans. Ashley as a fire Titan and Talison as an earth Titan. 6. The audience will be very concerned when the campaign starts with the dagger heart system. This is because every episode of dagger heart has been cookie, strange and completely devoid of a DND vive. 7. Previous places of worship to the old gods will probably be ransacked and repurposed. 8. The history of post campaign three will show priests were allowed to pledge allegiance to other powerful entities and retain their status, but not all priests of the same religion will pledge to the same new entities causing a rift. This is why the houses of worship will be splintered, plundered and repurposed. 9. This will be the hardest on the cradle of civilization since all they’ve ever known were the old deities. 10. Old entities that were locked away by the gods might be released or sought out by cults to release them. 11. Limits on the level of magical spells that were placed by the gods will no longer be a barrier. Dangerous magics at the highest level will be performed perhaps causing catastrophes. 12. Dunamancy will become more prevalent across the land and more of the beacons will be found. 13. The landscape will be similar to that of EXU calamity where people scrap by to make the living. There will be more of the haves and the have nots. 14. A mageocracy will arise right after campaign three to seize power while the divine castors try to figure out what they’re doing. 15. New border lines will be drawn. 16. As stated before the planes of heaven in hell will no longer exist. Perhaps all of the extra planes on the outskirts, not bordering the prime material plane will all cease to exist. This would leave only the shadow fell, the Faye, wild, the astral plane. If this happens many of the powerful entities from the outer skirts planes will enter the prime material plane since the divine gate no longer exists. 17. Speaking of the divine gate, there is a lot that is implied when it no longer exists. 18. The arch Fay and grand demons will be top of the food chain. 19. If the new characters and campaign for have any inkling of a goofy race like a giant ladybug or a frog person, they will lose their audience. It can’t be overstated. What a gamble this is for Critical Role. I believe it’s true that you come for the game and you stay for the players and the personalities. If the game system is different I think that’s fine. But if it comes off goofy or cookie it doesn’t have a chance to succeeded. 20. In closing, I will say I started watching Critical Role about 10 episodes into campaign one and have seen everything. I am a true fan and a beacon member and I support what they do because they provide me with hours of entertainment. I don’t watch television anymore. People consume media very differently these days. I remember when Mat and Marissa were living in an apartment and finally made enough money that they could afford to buy a house. I remember when Liam O’Brien had voice problems and could not work during that period and his family was supported by Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham. I remember Talison having the courage to openly talk about his hands, shaking and him not having any control over it. I remember the days you could actually read the chat on twitch and the Critical Role team moderator having to drop the hammer a few times on people that weren’t being polite. I remember Ashley Johnson staying up very late in New York Eastern standard time to play a 3 to 4 hour game because she loved it so much even though she knew she had an early call time on the TV series Blindspot. I remember Sam regal and all of his wonderful impromptu songs he used to sing when he played Scanlon. I remember his mom starting a social media account and instantly becoming famous. I remember once a month they would get together and open gifts sent to them by the fans. They started receiving so many gifts. They made the decision to ask the fans to make donations to charities in their name instead of sending them presents. I remember in the early days a fan having pizza sent to the studio, surprising the cast much to their delight. I remember Travis Willingham always hating shopping episodes. But, sometimes episodes like that and episodes with more dialogue gave Matt Mercer a little bit of a break. Although he is a machine when it comes to world building and content creation, he was having to grind that out every week. So, it was clear the cast we’re trying to find opportunities from time to time to take the load off of Mat with episodes like those. I remember early in season two when Travis and Laura‘s characters got captured and were away from the table for a while… Mysteriously… While they had a baby. There were so many fun stories of Ronan and how great a father Travis is to the point it brought Laura to tears to even talk about it. I remember Mat and Marissa finally getting married… And they lived happily ever after. I remember the story of how Liam and Sam met in New York in theater. They said to each other we should be best friends and then they were I. I remember when Ashley was being mentally abused by he who shall not be named and the entire CR cast rallied around her deleting all episodes of talks Machina. I’ve never met any of them but consider than family. They’ve shared so much of their life with us and they are good people. I wish all the best for the CR team and I truly want season four to be received well. There will be some stand in dungeon Masters in place of Mat from time to time that will be spun off into other shows. They’ve already talked about it and it’s a natural evolution. Mat has talked about passing the baton at some point. But I don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon. Mat and Marissa have gone from rags to riches and no one deserves it more with all the hard work they put in. Gone of the days of living in an apartment. It’s endearing to see the love between them just like you see between Laura and Travis. Wishing them nothing but the best . ~Danny H
I think we’ll see campaign 3 wrap up just in time for their 10 year anniversary (March 12 is when they started streaming) and I suspect they’ve already pre-recorded most of it because the Dec. 4SD seemed very… final? Like maybe they were packing up that studio entirely. I think next year, because it is their 10 year anniversary, and because the fandom has been so consistently supportive, we will see MANY MANY surprises. That said, I think we can expect short campaigns in both Daggerheart and Illuminated Worlds (most likely as a return to Candela), and maybe some short shots of Exandria Unlimited in earlier eras or new geographies (underwater maybe?) that are still played in D&D. I’m a little worried that we won’t see the full cast together at the table for a while, maybe until the start of C4, which I do think will be delayed into late 2025 or even 2026. And I think we’re at 50/50 odds of C4 being Daggerheart or D&D. I think Candela didn’t get the same type of critter hug other projects have received, so they back-benched it to focus on Daggerheart and maybe evaluate feedback. But I suspect we’ll see more of the shorter form and medium form campaigns that have been a success for Dimension 20 and other actual plays since they are more accessible/ don’t have the same backlog of lore to keep track of. I worry that the fan base may be a tad rabid about changes though, so I also suspect opinions will be split no matter what surprises we get in the coming year.
@@LDC4th he’s keeping the fanbase in mind with everything they’ll want to do is gonna be impossible they are gonna take a hit and regrow from there I’m sure shorter campaigns will be a good thing if they do that that being said maybe they should keep long ones around but air them like seasons and take a short break of other games like 15 episodes at a time then a month break then 15 more episodes in a row before a break again idk
I'm about 90% sure it has been confirmed that Episode 30 of 4SD was the last one scheduled. But if they want something funny, they could do a one-camera, no cuts style of discussion timed for literally exactly one hour and they try to talk about as much as they can. They could call the show The Short Rest.

@@ZodiacBandit Like I said in my original post, there's a lot of credence to them trying to wrap up C3 on or near that March 13th date to celebrate the 10th anniversary.
It's been said, but I think Campaign 4 will kick off around the 10th anniversary, and I think it'll be in Daggerheart. What better way to show off their system then to play it on the stream. I wish Candela got more love, but I want them to do more with that system, Illuminated Worlds. They kept touting for it was so easy to adapt to any setting, but I haven't seen the rules for the system itself. So maybe they do some more stuff with that now that Daggerheart is about to release.
My main predictions are that there won’t be a new Exandria campaign til after the live shows are over.. there are a lot spread out throughout the year.. I expect that if C3 doesn’t end with the gods starting a new Calamity (which I don’t think is where its going) that perhaps the events of the liveshows will lead to whatever C4 ends up being. I keep going back and forth on whether or not they’ll use Daggerheart in Exandria permanently and at this point I don’t think they will at least for C4. The framing of that live show as “the first one-shot set in Exandria with Daggerheart” makes me think that they’re not planning on jumping in immediately following this campaign. What I do see as possible is them doing a short-ish run in the time between Exandria with one of the campaign frames they’ve been talking about.
@ half of June is them in Australia it seems to me like trying to launch a new campaign just before that would be a production nightmare… mini-series you can kind of slot in between without that same sense of disruption.
@@ZodiacBandit that’s kind of where I’ve landed for the most part because Daggerheart is honestly so different from D&D I think it would be a huge risk to switch that world to a brand new system even if Darrington did produce it, Matt didn’t actually design it and there’s been little evidence it was made specifically with Exandria in mind. So while its entirely possible they’ll play it in Exandria I’m not very convinced they will. Edit: long-term main campaign play at least, there is already one one-shot planned and there will probably be mini-series in it as well especially if they expand the world i.e. underwater societies or underground or even Ruidus itself.
VISION OF THE FUTURE: Ludinus Da’leth opens his mouth to monologue, things he has wanted to say for so long, things he needs the gods to hear, but the Bells Hells, the only audience he can see are who his words, practiced and rehearsed and chosen every single word over a unnaturally long life, he has given in private, many times, some version of this speech but he is now broadcasting towards the entire planet below his ruddy moon after teleporting out of the air genasi’s pitiful force cage, he opens his mouth to speak after he has unleashed his full power all his might and left the meddling background nuisance of his life for the past months clinging to life on the floor he has Liliana Temult his once trusted general in his grasp, his new quintessence array still on him, he however hasn’t turned on her yet, he needs something he searched for it in Aeor and now he plucks it from her brain with her own powers relishing the look on her daughter’s face as he does what he had wanted for so very long he begins to monologue, he finishes on a high note, and he plays the recording, then his face falls, THE RECORDING: “Count me down! Hello Catthmoira no hello Turamunda” Liliana Temult had replaced the recording in her mind, for another, one that highlighted not the gods failings but his own and as a hammer knocks him down after a barrage of attacks by the halfling from the Air Ashari leaders loyal soldier, who he had ordered Otohan to kill twice after the fireball that did not come from Briarwood’s own power but the lover of Temult’s offspiring, and after Sorrowlord Zathuda’s promised child’s monkey shot him with it’s gun, Ludinus Da’leth died how he had lived: An old wizard full of shit.
March 13th should be an episode and would be the day after the 10th anniversary. Between now and then there should be nine episodes. Saying that Campaign 3 ends the day after their 10th anniversary seems like it could be a viable timeline.
Five episodes ago I made a prediction that there would only be seven episodes left. I'm going to stick with that. With the ramping up of the pace and a promise of a looming final battle I think it would be a bit of a disservice to the story to extend it too long. Of course, it all depends on what happens with Prodathos. If the final battle goes to shit all bets are off. I also really don't see them attempting to end the campaign on any given particular date. Don't try to force anything and let The story come to its natural conclusion. As far as the future goes it don't really see them veering too far off the formula that's got them here. Of course, they'll definitely try some new and interesting things, and my bold prediction is that Robbie will join the group as a full-time player but I don't see any of the rest of the cast leaving and I think campaign 4 Will take place in Alexandria and be in a long form format and take place approximately 3 months after the end of this campaign. As far as the system goes I think they'll stick with d&d 5e. This is also a hope of mine as if they switch then there's a really good chance that I will stop watching. Nothing against DH, it's just that I'm a d&d kid through and through. These are also just my opinions and speculations and like most other people's speculations on this matter I'm probably mostly wrong.
My predicition for Critical Role 2025 is different from everyone, which is: - Critical Role C3 will end in Janurary. - Agree that we will see a main character of C3 be killed. My bets are Orym or Imogeon. Though I will not be surprised if they all sacrifice themselves for the greater good. This is my biggest difference: - Critical Role C4 will NOT be Daggerheart, and will still be D&D Note: Daggerheart is still very new and in the tours that they are doing, they only mentioned one will be Daggerheart. That one being in August where they stated it'll be the first time Daggerheart will be used in Exandria. Which tells me that the main campaigns will remain in a D&D setting. - Critical Role will have more one shots with Daggerheart to fully test it with its audience and see how things can/may work - Bell's Hells will actually save the world and not release Predathos, but Ludinus will as a vessel. But Bell's Hells will kill Ludinus whilst he is a vessel which will also destroy Predathos in the process. As a whole when it comes to Daggerheart. Believe that C5 is more likely to be Daggerheart than C4. CR does has a large fanbase but changing to a completely different gaming system, that will hurt them massively. Especially one that isn't known, so it'll be harder for them to market themselves towards a broader audience.

@@davidwilfand916 right but we don’t really know how long she’ll last if she even wants to last she might want to be with her friends and let go at some point but also it seems arch druids become trees eventually but she can be killed so who knows she’s not immortal just long lasting she might be around but not 100%
@ Yeah. Also possible to have a campaign where she’s around but not interacted with. We need a fresh pallet for sure, so probably a large time skip would be best
My BIG Daggerheart prediction is that when they announce Campaign 4 they also make the HUGE announcement that they will be starting ANOTHER campaign which is played in Daggerheart. ie they say “We’d like to announce Exandria Campaign 4…. and Daggerheart Campaign 1 !!”
I am still not 100% sold that C4 will be Daggerheart just yet. There will be a Daggerheart campaign, but what cast or format, remains to be seen. I think we might see an A/B story where the D&D and Daggerheart campaigns might colide at some point. I see Daggerheart as their bargaining chip with WOTC and their emergancy escape pod if they blowup in another OGL type debacle. I know Matt still has pretty good relations with people at Wizards, like Chris Perkins, but maybe it has not gone as well with the corporate side.
Don't think C4 will be Daggerheart. Believe CR told us this in the world tours video. They mentioned that Critical Role will have its first one-shot set in the world of Exandria in August. To note, the rest of the tours they never mentioned it will be using Daggerheart nor have they made any announcement of it except for that one shot.
imo you get ‘former pc death’ from Vex even if it only lasted a few seconds. and if not for the constant breaks and months/weeks off c3 would’ve been over. u got so close
If there will be some kind of sacrifice I think it will be duo, if Imogen then with Laudna, if Fearne, Ashton will step with her, and if Orym Dorian will have something to say about it. Daggerheart is about spring to be relased? So yeah, we have only couple episodes of campaign 3 left  I don't understand Ludi, he always wants to talk, like he want to hear that he is right. Like not sure what he is doing. I hope BH will tell hom about possibility of next Calamity beacuse he is crazy 😁😁😁 That will be interesting, what he will do next with this information? 🤔
@ZodiacBandit i still believe the reason they added them to the main campaign was just to give sam the extra weeks to recover before rejoining the game full time.
Okay here we go…. My predictions are always (you are reading these for the first time) a sort of “There is two paths’s I can see and in this particular instance I’m gonna do a Daggerheart one path I hope, the other I fear, One the path that I hope C3 Episode 118 goes like this: “As Ludinus monologues at them for an hour (“The I have already won speech” you know the one) Bells Hells in order, 1. use the rod and immediately transport Liliana and possibly Ryn to the cave and either with the help of Ryn and Orym’s sisters on the other side of the portal get some massive rocks, Ashton goes “titan form” and places all the rocks/boulders on the force cage, above Ludinus’s head (and all skill checks pass) then they fully heal 1. Orym (because your right he has only come here to do one thing) 2. Ashton (partly because he has killed a snowdinus and partly because he just raged and it’s a waste for him to leave now and of course for Ashton “never again” and 3. Braius (because he doesn’t have anyone or anything to do he feels other than this one thing his “quest” and Sam is going to do a “now what?” thing with him if Braius survives this because he has no romance, he has no revenge, he just has this one mission he joined the Hells to do and I honestly think it is a “I don’t care if I die because I have nothing to live for” thing with him and that is deeply tragic) you could argue Chetney but I counter this with out of every one Fearne will not leave if Chetney and Orym and Ashton all stay unless Orym says to Chetney “Take Fearnie, keep her safe” and Ashton seconds it because of what you have said, Dorian will volunteer to protect Liliana anyway “I love my mom too” and Imogen and Liliana are nothing but a danger to the group in this situation, (I don’t even think it even needs to be said where Laudna is going, (her future wife, is leaving, she’s leaving and that’s that) Imogen then teleports (if they have haven’t already) Liliana, Chetney, Dorian, Laudna, Fearne and herself to the cave portal and just leave, get back to the lake camp and let Liliana recover protected by Imogen and the others, Ryn Laudna and Imogen get, Vox Machina, Mighty Nine, and Opal’ and the other champions on the line give them Ludinus’s exact location. The path I fear is not as long our as much fanfiction it sadly only contains math and fear: One Ludinus said it himself last episode during the fight (check he says it) he knows he is dying today, but not before he insures the release of Predathos which tells me two things, one, doing this will outright kill him and two, if he does, the following happens because I feel the critters are right Matt would deem it unfair even in this “harder more fast paced take no prisoners campaign” to have even all the heroes fight a God Eater, so that means it is… if he does it next episode… a fail state. Game Over. Last Episode. That is a game killer not just a TPK. That is the ending of Exandria as a setting. Which if it happens opens the way for C4 being Daggerheart focused with less whiplash (personally understand your worries about Daggerheart and respect them but do not share them) and as an ending it would be if nothing else memorable.

Also i dont think the character sheet gets much right anymore, they have lost the plot and their videos are too streamlined and judgemental now. Not that their not allowed opinions, but the tone is just.. well not happy like this is.
@@DonBraun-f3y I too have noticed they have become more negative in their videos towards critical role That being said negative videos do well compared to positive ones unfortunately that might be why
From what I've seen of Daggerheart, it's very hinged on innovation and story telling. CR isn't primarily about the game they play, it's about the story they tell. And the Daggerheart system lets them tell the story even within the system. I'd prefer them to stay 5E because I'm mechanically aware of that system, but I'd still *watch* a Daggerheart story.
@@matthewbreen1951 this is where I am as well I’m not well Versed in DH I played it early in the beta but that’s all left my brain by now I’m gonna keep watching and making videos regardless so I’m gonna have to learn DH when they change happens to do so
I see Imogen sacrificing herself BUT Laura likes to win at dnd so i'm not sure about it. Orym? 100%. I also see Chetney but because Travis has no problem whatsoever with sacrificing his characters for the sake of the group.
Addressing the BG3 stream from the beginning of the vid, you had it labeled as Friday the 29th. So, is that meaning that it is tonight (Friday the 27th) or is it the 29th (Sunday)?
Man. It's sad. I'll watch a daggerheart one shot here and there, sure. But if they stop playing 5e weekly then I probably stop watching CR. I learned the system by watching them. My friends learned the system by watching them. I'm not learning a new one and pretending anything in that system is canon.
@@ZodiacBandit well they usually take 3-4 months off between campaigns, and they're touring around a bit next year. i also personally like the one shots and the mini series -- sometimes its nice to get a story that doesn't take 3 years to complete
@ this is very true damn I’m glad i brought that into the video I was gonna do another in game one but I like see everyone with different ideas for how 2025 will go based on the live shows
Haaah, they don't switch. It became obvious after critmas one-shot. DH system is just too simple for long-term campaign. There were no maps in one-shot, but fights there were. There were nothing to add to roleplay with DH system, in fact, i don't think homegames can pull off good roleplay with Daggerheart. Not enough tools. Crit role makes it look cool, because cast is professional voice actors. So, no. C4 still D&D, i think.
@@vqst6854 I still haven’t watched it been very busy and would like to watch soon but I did notice back when they first played DH theatre of the mind was something they wanted to use a lot
@@ZodiacBandit and this gonna be huuuuge L for CR, if they switch. Think about it. From a show standpoint - quality will decrease, if there are no maps, for example. Audience will not eat theatre of mind all the time. Even at C1 at the beggining there were simple drawings. From a commercial standpoint - less things to sell. No new minis, no advertisment contracts with Dwarven Forge or other companies.
@ I always say how jealous I am of their maps and minis and I’ve been asking for the Ruidus races to get minis we’re literally telling them what we want
Except there were maps during the Open Beta streams. I don't know what's the reason there were no maps during the Christmas one shot, but I think it might be the exception, not the rule.

10. Old entities that were locked away by the gods might be released or sought out by cults to release them.
11. Limits on the level of magical spells that were placed by the gods will no longer be a barrier. Dangerous magics at the highest level will be performed perhaps causing catastrophes.
12. Dunamancy will become more prevalent across the land and more of the beacons will be found.
13. The landscape will be similar to that of EXU calamity where people scrap by to make the living. There will be more of the haves and the have nots.
14. A mageocracy will arise right after campaign three to seize power while the divine castors try to figure out what they’re doing.
15. New border lines will be drawn.
16. As stated before the planes of heaven in hell will no longer exist. Perhaps all of the extra planes on the outskirts, not bordering the prime material plane will all cease to exist. This would leave only the shadow fell, the Faye, wild, the astral plane. If this happens many of the powerful entities from the outer skirts planes will enter the prime material plane since the divine gate no longer exists.
17. Speaking of the divine gate, there is a lot that is implied when it no longer exists.
18. The arch Fay and grand demons will be top of the food chain.
19. If the new characters and campaign for have any inkling of a goofy race like a giant ladybug or a frog person, they will lose their audience. It can’t be overstated. What a gamble this is for Critical Role. I believe it’s true that you come for the game and you stay for the players and the personalities. If the game system is different I think that’s fine. But if it comes off goofy or cookie it doesn’t have a chance to succeeded.
20. In closing, I will say I started watching Critical Role about 10 episodes into campaign one and have seen everything. I am a true fan and a beacon member and I support what they do because they provide me with hours of entertainment. I don’t watch television anymore. People consume media very differently these days. I remember when Mat and Marissa were living in an apartment and finally made enough money that they could afford to buy a house. I remember when Liam O’Brien had voice problems and could not work during that period and his family was supported by Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham. I remember Talison having the courage to openly talk about his hands, shaking and him not having any control over it. I remember the days you could actually read the chat on twitch and the Critical Role team moderator having to drop the hammer a few times on people that weren’t being polite. I remember Ashley Johnson staying up very late in New York Eastern standard time to play a 3 to 4 hour game because she loved it so much even though she knew she had an early call time on the TV series Blindspot. I remember Sam regal and all of his wonderful impromptu songs he used to sing when he played Scanlon. I remember his mom starting a social media account and instantly becoming famous. I remember once a month they would get together and open gifts sent to them by the fans. They started receiving so many gifts. They made the decision to ask the fans to make donations to charities in their name instead of sending them presents. I remember in the early days a fan having pizza sent to the studio, surprising the cast much to their delight. I remember Travis Willingham always hating shopping episodes. But, sometimes episodes like that and episodes with more dialogue gave Matt Mercer a little bit of a break. Although he is a machine when it comes to world building and content creation, he was having to grind that out every week. So, it was clear the cast we’re trying to find opportunities from time to time to take the load off of Mat with episodes like those. I remember early in season two when Travis and Laura‘s characters got captured and were away from the table for a while… Mysteriously… While they had a baby. There were so many fun stories of Ronan and how great a father Travis is to the point it brought Laura to tears to even talk about it. I remember Mat and Marissa finally getting married… And they lived happily ever after. I remember the story of how Liam and Sam met in New York in theater. They said to each other we should be best friends and then they were I. I remember when Ashley was being mentally abused by he who shall not be named and the entire CR cast rallied around her deleting all episodes of talks Machina.
I’ve never met any of them but consider than family. They’ve shared so much of their life with us and they are good people. I wish all the best for the CR team and I truly want season four to be received well. There will be some stand in dungeon Masters in place of Mat from time to time that will be spun off into other shows. They’ve already talked about it and it’s a natural evolution. Mat has talked about passing the baton at some point. But I don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon. Mat and Marissa have gone from rags to riches and no one deserves it more with all the hard work they put in. Gone of the days of living in an apartment. It’s endearing to see the love between them just like you see between Laura and Travis.

I think we’ll see campaign 3 wrap up just in time for their 10 year anniversary (March 12 is when they started streaming) and I suspect they’ve already pre-recorded most of it because the Dec. 4SD seemed very… final? Like maybe they were packing up that studio entirely.
I think next year, because it is their 10 year anniversary, and because the fandom has been so consistently supportive, we will see MANY MANY surprises.
That said, I think we can expect short campaigns in both Daggerheart and Illuminated Worlds (most likely as a return to Candela), and maybe some short shots of Exandria Unlimited in earlier eras or new geographies (underwater maybe?) that are still played in D&D. I’m a little worried that we won’t see the full cast together at the table for a while, maybe until the start of C4, which I do think will be delayed into late 2025 or even 2026. And I think we’re at 50/50 odds of C4 being Daggerheart or D&D.
I think Candela didn’t get the same type of critter hug other projects have received, so they back-benched it to focus on Daggerheart and maybe evaluate feedback. But I suspect we’ll see more of the shorter form and medium form campaigns that have been a success for Dimension 20 and other actual plays since they are more accessible/ don’t have the same backlog of lore to keep track of.
I worry that the fan base may be a tad rabid about changes though, so I also suspect opinions will be split no matter what surprises we get in the coming year.

I'm about 90% sure it has been confirmed that Episode 30 of 4SD was the last one scheduled.
But if they want something funny, they could do a one-camera, no cuts style of discussion timed for literally exactly one hour and they try to talk about as much as they can. They could call the show The Short Rest.

It's been said, but I think Campaign 4 will kick off around the 10th anniversary, and I think it'll be in Daggerheart. What better way to show off their system then to play it on the stream.
I wish Candela got more love, but I want them to do more with that system, Illuminated Worlds. They kept touting for it was so easy to adapt to any setting, but I haven't seen the rules for the system itself. So maybe they do some more stuff with that now that Daggerheart is about to release.
My main predictions are that there won’t be a new Exandria campaign til after the live shows are over.. there are a lot spread out throughout the year.. I expect that if C3 doesn’t end with the gods starting a new Calamity (which I don’t think is where its going) that perhaps the events of the liveshows will lead to whatever C4 ends up being. I keep going back and forth on whether or not they’ll use Daggerheart in Exandria permanently and at this point I don’t think they will at least for C4. The framing of that live show as “the first one-shot set in Exandria with Daggerheart” makes me think that they’re not planning on jumping in immediately following this campaign. What I do see as possible is them doing a short-ish run in the time between Exandria with one of the campaign frames they’ve been talking about.

@@ZodiacBandit that’s kind of where I’ve landed for the most part because Daggerheart is honestly so different from D&D I think it would be a huge risk to switch that world to a brand new system even if Darrington did produce it, Matt didn’t actually design it and there’s been little evidence it was made specifically with Exandria in mind. So while its entirely possible they’ll play it in Exandria I’m not very convinced they will.
Edit: long-term main campaign play at least, there is already one one-shot planned and there will probably be mini-series in it as well especially if they expand the world i.e. underwater societies or underground or even Ruidus itself.

March 13th should be an episode and would be the day after the 10th anniversary. Between now and then there should be nine episodes.
Saying that Campaign 3 ends the day after their 10th anniversary seems like it could be a viable timeline.

Five episodes ago I made a prediction that there would only be seven episodes left. I'm going to stick with that. With the ramping up of the pace and a promise of a looming final battle I think it would be a bit of a disservice to the story to extend it too long. Of course, it all depends on what happens with Prodathos. If the final battle goes to shit all bets are off. I also really don't see them attempting to end the campaign on any given particular date. Don't try to force anything and let The story come to its natural conclusion.
As far as the future goes it don't really see them veering too far off the formula that's got them here. Of course, they'll definitely try some new and interesting things, and my bold prediction is that Robbie will join the group as a full-time player but I don't see any of the rest of the cast leaving and I think campaign 4 Will take place in Alexandria and be in a long form format and take place approximately 3 months after the end of this campaign. As far as the system goes I think they'll stick with d&d 5e. This is also a hope of mine as if they switch then there's a really good chance that I will stop watching. Nothing against DH, it's just that I'm a d&d kid through and through.
These are also just my opinions and speculations and like most other people's speculations on this matter I'm probably mostly wrong.
My predicition for Critical Role 2025 is different from everyone, which is:
- Critical Role C3 will end in Janurary.
- Agree that we will see a main character of C3 be killed. My bets are Orym or Imogeon. Though I will not be surprised if they all sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
This is my biggest difference:
- Critical Role C4 will NOT be Daggerheart, and will still be D&D
Note: Daggerheart is still very new and in the tours that they are doing, they only mentioned one will be Daggerheart. That one being in August where they stated it'll be the first time Daggerheart will be used in Exandria. Which tells me that the main campaigns will remain in a D&D setting.
- Critical Role will have more one shots with Daggerheart to fully test it with its audience and see how things can/may work
- Bell's Hells will actually save the world and not release Predathos, but Ludinus will as a vessel. But Bell's Hells will kill Ludinus whilst he is a vessel which will also destroy Predathos in the process.
As a whole when it comes to Daggerheart. Believe that C5 is more likely to be Daggerheart than C4. CR does has a large fanbase but changing to a completely different gaming system, that will hurt them massively. Especially one that isn't known, so it'll be harder for them to market themselves towards a broader audience.
Imagine if a married Laudna and Imogen are the mentors for the cast of Campaign 4, the same way Eshteross was for them when he was alive.

My BIG Daggerheart prediction is that when they announce Campaign 4 they also make the HUGE announcement that they will be starting ANOTHER campaign which is played in Daggerheart.
ie they say “We’d like to announce Exandria Campaign 4…. and Daggerheart Campaign 1 !!”
I am still not 100% sold that C4 will be Daggerheart just yet. There will be a Daggerheart campaign, but what cast or format, remains to be seen. I think we might see an A/B story where the D&D and Daggerheart campaigns might colide at some point.
I see Daggerheart as their bargaining chip with WOTC and their emergancy escape pod if they blowup in another OGL type debacle. I know Matt still has pretty good relations with people at Wizards, like Chris Perkins, but maybe it has not gone as well with the corporate side.

Don't think C4 will be Daggerheart. Believe CR told us this in the world tours video. They mentioned that Critical Role will have its first one-shot set in the world of Exandria in August. To note, the rest of the tours they never mentioned it will be using Daggerheart nor have they made any announcement of it except for that one shot.

My predictions are always (you are reading these for the first time) a sort of “There is two paths’s I can see and in this particular instance I’m gonna do a Daggerheart one path I hope, the other I fear, One the path that I hope C3 Episode 118 goes like this: “As Ludinus monologues at them for an hour (“The I have already won speech” you know the one) Bells Hells in order, 1. use the rod and immediately transport Liliana and possibly Ryn to the cave and either with the help of Ryn and Orym’s sisters on the other side of the portal get some massive rocks, Ashton goes “titan form” and places all the rocks/boulders on the force cage, above Ludinus’s head (and all skill checks pass) then they fully heal 1. Orym (because your right he has only come here to do one thing) 2. Ashton (partly because he has killed a snowdinus and partly because he just raged and it’s a waste for him to leave now and of course for Ashton “never again” and 3. Braius (because he doesn’t have anyone or anything to do he feels other than this one thing his “quest” and Sam is going to do a “now what?” thing with him if Braius survives this because he has no romance, he has no revenge, he just has this one mission he joined the Hells to do and I honestly think it is a “I don’t care if I die because I have nothing to live for” thing with him and that is deeply tragic) you could argue Chetney but I counter this with out of every one Fearne will not leave if Chetney and Orym and Ashton all stay unless Orym says to Chetney “Take Fearnie, keep her safe” and Ashton seconds it because of what you have said, Dorian will volunteer to protect Liliana anyway “I love my mom too” and Imogen and Liliana are nothing but a danger to the group in this situation, (I don’t even think it even needs to be said where Laudna is going, (her future wife, is leaving, she’s leaving and that’s that) Imogen then teleports (if they have haven’t already) Liliana, Chetney, Dorian, Laudna, Fearne and herself to the cave portal and just leave, get back to the lake camp and let Liliana recover protected by Imogen and the others, Ryn Laudna and Imogen get, Vox Machina, Mighty Nine, and Opal’ and the other champions on the line give them Ludinus’s exact location. The path I fear is not as long our as much fanfiction it sadly only contains math and fear: One Ludinus said it himself last episode during the fight (check he says it) he knows he is dying today, but not before he insures the release of Predathos which tells me two things, one, doing this will outright kill him and two, if he does, the following happens because I feel the critters are right Matt would deem it unfair even in this “harder more fast paced take no prisoners campaign” to have even all the heroes fight a God Eater, so that means it is… if he does it next episode… a fail state. Game Over. Last Episode. That is a game killer not just a TPK. That is the ending of Exandria as a setting. Which if it happens opens the way for C4 being Daggerheart focused with less whiplash (personally understand your worries about Daggerheart and respect them but do not share them) and as an ending it would be if nothing else memorable.

From what I've seen of Daggerheart, it's very hinged on innovation and story telling.
CR isn't primarily about the game they play, it's about the story they tell. And the Daggerheart system lets them tell the story even within the system.
I'd prefer them to stay 5E because I'm mechanically aware of that system, but I'd still *watch* a Daggerheart story.

Man. It's sad. I'll watch a daggerheart one shot here and there, sure. But if they stop playing 5e weekly then I probably stop watching CR. I learned the system by watching them. My friends learned the system by watching them. I'm not learning a new one and pretending anything in that system is canon.

Haaah, they don't switch. It became obvious after critmas one-shot. DH system is just too simple for long-term campaign. There were no maps in one-shot, but fights there were. There were nothing to add to roleplay with DH system, in fact, i don't think homegames can pull off good roleplay with Daggerheart. Not enough tools. Crit role makes it look cool, because cast is professional voice actors. So, no. C4 still D&D, i think.
@@vqst6854 I still haven’t watched it been very busy and would like to watch soon but I did notice back when they first played DH theatre of the mind was something they wanted to use a lot
@@ZodiacBandit and this gonna be huuuuge L for CR, if they switch. Think about it. From a show standpoint - quality will decrease, if there are no maps, for example. Audience will not eat theatre of mind all the time. Even at C1 at the beggining there were simple drawings. From a commercial standpoint - less things to sell. No new minis, no advertisment contracts with Dwarven Forge or other companies.
@ I always say how jealous I am of their maps and minis and I’ve been asking for the Ruidus races to get minis we’re literally telling them what we want
Except there were maps during the Open Beta streams.
I don't know what's the reason there were no maps during the Christmas one shot, but I think it might be the exception, not the rule.
@ if I remember correctly the first open beta stream had maps for combat and after that it was 50/50
