On a practical level, I think it’s probably because they want all three of them to come and be on the show or at least one or two of them. So I get that’s why they haven’t really dealt with it. But it really doesn’t make sense. Story wise. They should’ve sent a message ages ago.

well its not like the main group have kept them in the loop. and cannonical its only really being a few days like maybe 4 or 5 at most since they lost FCG and probloby a week and a half since they met these three. people keep forgeting the BHs have only known each other for like two mouths that campighs rabid

I'd say this, 3 sessions on average being one day seems alright to me, but when it doesn't happen TOO consistently. And especially in recent year it has been happening so consistently, that the idea of time becomes extremely wonky, even without throwing feywild into the mix. If you think about it, the Aeyor stuff took whole summer to get through thanks to downfall, even tho it was realistically about two days in game.

So I originally wanted Ferne's plan to infiltrate The Moon through Sorrow Lord and taking Dorian Breaus and Orym as Team Lucky Rizz and politic and plot against Ruby Vanguard maybe help Illiana ? Then Chet Imogen Laudna and Ash could link up w/ Prism FREIDA and Deanna filling out The Party to use the secret passage ?

Honestly the more you lok into C3 timeline it does feel so rushed. By C3e104 they have had between 89-96 days, so just over 3 months. This is why the 3rd campaign has felt so weird to me, the group have been playing for over 2 years but they have 3 months of bonding. To put it in perspective, when compaired with C2 it is wild: 》In C2e104 they have had 273 days pass, so just under 9 months. 》In C2e36 they had travelled together for 89 days. 》In C2e41 they had travelled together for 96 days. Meaning that Molly died after 39 days with the group in C2e26, and FCG died after 85-92 days with the group in C3e89. So a difference of 46-53 days and 63 episodes between these deaths, which feels extremely weird that there is only around 1 month between these events. Note: --The reason why Bells Hells have either 89-96 days is due to the part split of Issylra and Wildmount having different run times.

I have a theory that the Raven Queen already knew everything that was going to happen since even before campaign 1. She's been manipulating Vox Machina, the Mighty Nein, and Bells Hells since the beginning when she realized what Ludinus was planning. It's why she chose Vax as her champion. He was basically the catalyst to start everything that could potentially lead to releasing Predathos and the gods leaving Exandria. She wants them to leave Exandria so that the mortals can evolve and raise up themselves. This could have been her plan all along since her ascension after she found out the truth of who the gods really were. It would make sense for her to try manipulate everyone and string them all along for a final end goal. After all she also is the goddess of fate too.

Is it the 'natrual order' though? The way CR is turning out and how they 'feel' about the gods is more of they are just entities that CAN die. Their true purpose is only to create life/have devotees and give them power and love them. So imo, Raven Queen just like all the other gods and they don't care about 1 person or whatever. I think if there is ANY beef it would be with Nana, but think about this. Raven never stopped Nana before. Nana has a gallery of these 'people' so adding 1 more to it isn't Bell's fault. If anything she would be happy that they were able to use their ingenuity and gather information to overall stop the god eater. I have a thought, obviously this campaign is wrapping up. So all these gods are being spoken to so they can get 'special' weapons/items to assist them to wrap it up. Love these videos because you give us a chance to hash it all out and give great opinions. Nana is a fate weaver. This is something she has done before. I don't think she is going to hold it against Bell's Hells, especially when they are trying to find information to help save the gods.

Morri asked for Fearne's consent to do it, but i think it's worth bearing in mind that Morri doing this kind of thing is very much her will/MO. Zathuda has been a long term adversary of hers, and she was quite keen to string him up. There is some hinting of a 'special relationship' between Morri and the Raven Queen, because they are both fate stitchers, artisans working the same craft. One as an archfey/hag and the other as a Goddess. So whilst it's good to recognise the agency of BH and the consequences of their decisions, I imagine that the Raven Queen will consider it part and parcel of Morri's nature/Fey BS.

I'm not sure fey creatures would fall under the Raven Queen's purview as they aren't mortal and they reincarnate but since reincarnation is their afterlife and she handles shuffling off souls to their respective afterlife, she still might see denying Zathuda's reincarnation as a twofold affront to both the cyclic nature of death and cheating fate. But she's also a Lawful Neutral deity, she doesn't personally go off on psychotically irrational murder sprees, striking down all intelligent undead, or calls a jihad on every a-hole that resurrects a dead person or reanimates a graveyard of corpses. If that were the case, a hit should have been called on Ludinus long ago for creating and using that harness allowing him to siphon others' life force to extend his own in the first place. But, BECAUSE she is a Lawful Neutral deity, I'm not inclined to think she's going to let Zathuda's soul defilement go unchecked either as it undermines her divine role as being suitable to the role of one who shepherds souls through their afterlife. The very least I would expect her to do would be to tell them to release him, or prioritize Vax's rescue.

She should be pissed at Nana, she have being doing this for a untold amount of time, but Nana said her house is Her Realm she can do anything she want there looks like.

I don't think Raven Queen will be pissed (if she was, she would already be pissed at Laudna's existence and actions which I don't believe she is), but I think she will try to claim a new "temporary" champion in Laudna (and send a giant middle-finger to Vecna/the Whispered One and various other rogue necromancers in the process) and she will became a perfect instrument for Matt to present gods' point of view in a more "human" way (considering that Matron was once a mortal and Exandria is the only home she had known)...

I think the Raven Queen is going to be pissed but not going to punish anyone because they did get info even if it wasn't the info the Hells would have liked. But for fun and thinking of punishments, how about until the raven queen wants Fearne feels the pain of all the people she has had a hand in hurting that wasn't warranted. So it's more of a roll play punishment than a game play one, and she would see and feel the consequences of her actions like the guilt of the elephant guy from the first episode for losing the all hammer symbol that Fearne stole.

I think they are waiting until the morning so that Brais can give inspiration to Fearn. I think people have a ton of spell slots used up. So they are waiting until the next day to do the glumglot blood ritual. How the fuck could anyone not try to have a dragon??? A fey dragon too!

Nah, Fae are different. They don't have souls like mortals do; their life force reforms into a new body without any deity's involvement.

Do fey even have an afterlife? In Exandria when people die then move to a realm with a God which their ideology aligns with - e.g. fey realm. I don't know how pissed the Raven Queen can be over an individual who at best would reincarnate in the fey realm or at worst just stop existing. It would be nice to see consequences or challenges for them since the fight was underwhelming in challenge - they are level 14 and we are leading up to a big end game of 2 level 20 parties and a 14+ party deciding the fate of Exandria. We do need more stakes at present and practice to have the plot grip the audience leading into the final.

Their actions favored the Raven Queen's goals, acquiring more information about Ludinus' plan. After all, she is okay with Laudina being around in these "strange times". I think she will be displeased, but not completely pissed off. Edit: Grammar

Update: I guess not. LOL! Matt is going to have to really do more to make this even a thought or 'option' for Braius because right now I see Matt feeding him exactly what he started the campaign with. Lord of Hells it is....plus it DEFINITELY goes with 'Bells Hells' theme.

A lot and most are not interchangeable. Of the vast population of Exandria, Rudius, and the Realms even 10-20 percent is a massive amount of people but far from the majority.

I wanted Ferne to get upset at the group for them trying to have her sympathize or feel empathy for her Father. You know, the same one who tricked her into battling a dark version of herself in the hellcatch region. The one who would of killed any of her friends to get what he wanted. He wasn't worth saving my opinion, she has no love for him and decided this was his fate. No issues with that choice she made.

It doesn't strictly matter, but Geas is from Gaelic folklore and so the Gaelic pronunciation is closer to "gesh". Good video!

This really episode really made me question the morals of the party and what ends they are willing to do to reach their goals. From attempting to blame Ludinus for their actions, to killing Zathuda, coercing his mount, ignoring requests to not have him die in means of keeping his mount, and willingly agreeing to defile a corpse and use it as exposition. This party has many lows but taking someone to a fey torture chamber has to be a new low and anytime they criticize Ludinus they might have to look in the mirror for a second.

Dorian's stance on the plan is understandable as it was a god that killed his brother through his friend. And that was what a week or 2 ago for him. Ashton should be one of the most against it seeing how FCG died for his friends, how close he is to Fearne and she might died for this to happen, how Imogen might died for this to happen. I really don't know what Ashton's thought process is here.

"Dissapearing Exaltians" and what if Ludinus is sucking them through some device to have their powers to connect Predathos? And became a vessel himself? We know that he had device before which allowed him to have permanent something after death by being sucked. 🤔😵😳 That would explain why he needs so many of them?

I was so unsettled by the entire Loom process and the aftermath. Honestly, well CR, I'm not easily disturbed or unsettled.

He is 100% a coward and selfish. HE has changed over the thousands of years though. Maybe he would change again if things just stayed the same but some how the children actually killed or literally got rid of Prodathos entirely for the gods. Let's take a step back and talk D&D in general. D&D has gods. This is ingrained in to the game. People can chose to believe or not but they gods have .... god type powers. As far as I know there is no way to 'kill' a god but you can become like one (DragonLance Twins book series) or be welcomed as one, but to do that the feats needed to force your way to that type of status is 1 in a 1092438092834098230498203948203980597823987598237498372. It's astronomical to think you will achieve that as a player. That campaign would be one hell of a special campaign with close friends and would be very interesting. Anyway, gods are necessary for so many aspects. Why Matt and the team are running a game like this draws questions outside of the game. Look, personal beliefs follow you around everywhere but something is really trying to be pushed on the audience and you need to be keen to catch it. Arch Heart was bored before the 'tree' / Prodathos was planted and the fruit was picked. After being picked, he almost didn't want to leave and wanted to be consumed. IMO, let him be consumed, then let the other gods along with their children take care of this threat where it will not happen again. Maybe give Prodathos his own domain to starve, forever and suffer for being the entity that it is. Just place him along side the betrayer gods, not touching them of course but in his own separate domain. Said this before. Arch Heart is a douche and needs to be locked away, included with where the betrayers are right now.

Honestly ive watched this interaction three times, and while I do believe hes a bit of a coward here, heres what I boiled their three choices down to: Either they A. Continue as Planned and Attempt to stop Ludacris from awakening him and stopping the calamity, renewing the cycle. Possibly making the gods either send Rudidus away and sealing the Relorans who do want to leave to isolation again. B. Fail, die, and have the gods step in wheb they expect Predathos to be unleashed. Whether or not they stop the breaking is up in the air. C. Potentially listen to him, hijack the efforts to unleash predathos on their own terms, Possibly sacrifice imogen or fern, and MAYBE chase off the gods. A and B we know have at least some sort of concrete cause and effect. C is, and even though the plan is coming from a god. Its clear that hes rolling the dice too. I see the merit in his plan. Because its either (from his point of view) sacrificing one or two for a better chance of stopping the calamity and getting his kin to move on since he himself said that they are animals that will prioritize their survival over anything. Yes hes selfish, but at least hes trying to communicate with them in a direct manner. Thats my two cents on it tho.

I don't like the plan either. Its like unlocking the door to your home for a killer waiting outside, hoping the killer will chase out the adults and leave the children alone. I dont think Correlen is a coward. He gave gave his children a faulty plan. If they want the the gods to leave they have to take the risks...

I don't think this new plan invalidates the other plan. VM & MN assaults would be the distraction while BH instead of facing off with Ludinus, they would be trying to get passed him. They still need the other battles to keep the enemies AND the gods attention off of them. & The world doesn't need gods. Just a few unlikely heroes from time to time...

I don't have opinions on the in-world stuff but I suspect this really is the end of Exandria as we know it either way, and Matt's giving his players a choice how to go out - classic heroic fantasy or moody morally-ambiguous Calamity/Downfall storytelling. As for Chetney, I wonder if his CEO player needs some time to decide what would be better for the brand long-term...

Aside from what Bell's Hells does, it seems the world is going to suffer another calamity. The "god" side is bent on stopping Ludinus, while those who side with Ludinus are going to try to stop them. Sounds like a Civil War to me. This could be a greater calamity than the first, gods engaging or not!

Having Corellon show up and save the party members in the temple and then rebuild it didn’t bother me at all. I think it’s quite Shakespearean, actually. He was the deus ex machina that comes and rights things. But Corellon does more than just be the god in the machine. He complicates that trope because he presents the solution that none of the party was expecting by asking them to release Predathos. Also, as you point out, Corellon is not being very god-like at all in asking them to do it while he turns tail and runs. It advances a line of exploration that has become central to campaign 3. What does it mean to be a god? Is it just world-breaking power? Or is it leadership and care?
