Some Bluetooth speakers don't connect to the echo so simply. When I saw ANY in the title, I assumed this video would be helpful for those speakers. Very misleading and unhelpful.
It's all a pacifier for soccer moms and smerffs, I don't like these extra associations that trip you up with things like livingroom that are hard to remove etc.
like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
Amazon is the worst, after all the updates and stuff on the app, I am shocked this video still works. Maybe I will make an updated video to show the changes. Thanks for the comment!

It worked with my 5.1 LG Speaker Sound is much better However it does not stay BT connected when I switch over 5.1 to watch You Tube So think when I listen to Alexa music I will need to connect manually ea time Unless I am missing a step Great video

Is the music streaming done in the echo and the music signal is transmitted to the sound bar via bluetooth, or is the streaming done on your sound bar itself? It makes the difference, because the latter would deliver better audio quality.

When you use the "play everywhere" feature will it play out of both the soundbar and the dot? Or just the soundbar? Is there a way to make it play out of both if that is the case?
Do you have to have it connect each time you want to use it? Does the Visio sound bar turn off or is the Bluetooth connected all the time? Thinking about setting this up in my garage and font want to have to turn on the sound bar and tell it to connect each time. Hope the questions make sense.

I have connected my echo dot 3rd gen via bluetooth to my desktop. When I go to pause a RUclips video - it will stay paused for around 10 seconds and then automatically unpause itself and play the video. It does the same unpausing itseling for spotify and other media on my desktop pc? I am running windows 10 pro and only had this issue since connecting the echo via bluetooth. If I connect the echo via spotify connect (which runs off wifi) this issue doesn't happen. But I want to use the dot for all audio coming from my desktop via bluetooth. Please help!

I think Alexa listens better when the sound is coming from another source 😅

Can you get the sound to play from the echo as well as the Bluetooth speaker so you can them in different places in the room for surround sound?
From my tests, this is one or the other. However, you can have a second Echo Dot and use them to play at the same time.
You can use a Bluetooth received and transfer device to play on both

You can leave it connected. When you turn on BT it should auto connect to the speaker.

I am not sure, I know most sound bars you can disable the power settings that turn off for inactivity.
But you still have to manually turn on the speaker tho right??

Manually turn on the speaker, unless it has smart home integration. Come to find out this soundbar is smartcast.
Once you've set up your Bluetooth speaker manually you just say to the Echo Dot " Connect my speaker" in future and that will connect it..

Does it matter if your Alexa is to close to the speaker ? Will it still hear you if the sound is loud ?
If the speaker is close, Alexa may not hear the wake word.
Its not working with my zeb sound bar
So you need the echo in order to connect other speakers
