I'll give this a try. I'm a purple belt that gave up triangles a long while ago due to getting passed by bigger guys. I also never got that reverse triangle to work, but your details might fix that!
I really like this, because last time at jiu jitsu, they were teaching us how to get past the triangle, and I hate being stacked!!!!!
I run into this issue so much! I'm usually decent about getting my legs around my opponents neck/shoulder for the setup but can never finish the triangle and almost always get stacked/smashed. Trying this for sure - great content!
🎉 heck yeah, get inside position first then anchor on the back and attack from there! Let me know how it goes 👏🏼👏🏼🫡
This thing changed my life, Coach. THANK YOU!!!!
@@JediNiyte 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 love to hear it
3:16 - "Windows 95 was good in 95. We do nt use that anymore either." Truth! 🤣 Awesome technique btw!
I like that push - pull dynamic of putting the knee in the armpit from collar-sleeve. I will definitely give it a try!
Let me know how it goes!
Amazing detail
That windows 95 comment was hilarious 😂
Mind blown ❤
Ty so much for your time

white belt question, what if he removes your collar grip?
Great question! I put it in the list of things to film 👏🏼
"restoring faith in the triangle"😂 indeed, would rather go for an omoplata against a bigger guy. Will try!
Omoplatas work just as well! I like to go omoplata and double back to triangle as they square up. It works for similar reasons since the concept is the same 1) shooting the secondary framing leg first and 2) kinking the arm into our pocket second as we look to progress towards a submission
@@NicholasSallesAny tips for guys who just deadlift you up off the ground from omoplata? 😅
Where can I get an instructional or you tube info on inside collar sleeve I haven’t seen any info on this guard
I will be posting more on this topic in the coming days!
is that daniel the uke from mike musumeci instructionals??
The one and only 😂❤
BOOM
🫡 let me know how it goes!
Boss boss, what about the free arm on the other side. If he C-grips on the ankle and pushes down the leg, do you just bail to omaplata? Great tech fr just wondering
@@piquitomonoloco so the ability to maintain that frame on the back shoulder is going depend entirely on your alignment. When we talk about our frames being “sticky” or not, it usually comes down to the position of our bodies (in relation to our opponent) and the structure of our frame (stacking our skeletal structure vs. flaring our knee and using our muscles to activate). Lastly, the other thing is keeping the pulling and pushing forces in harmony- if you apply too much framing pressure with that foot (essentially “kicking” them) you are essentiallly assisting your foot in getting swiped off. An additional detail is where our foot is placed on the lever (this can range from shoulder all the way down to the elbow) 🙏🏼
But from my experience, when you keep these things in mind, its really difficult for them to remove that foot
@NicholasSalles thank you so much boss, I understand 🙏.
Is there a whole series from here?
Yup! More content incoming 🙏🏼

That is very good and quite simple to do, the old school triangle setup just does not work, really good details
Thank you! Time to change things up 🙏🏼
