Another great tutorial Jerry. This answered a lot of my questions about MasterShots. Thanks for sharing.

I presume, if you are ok with 1080P, you can still use the 4K footage from the drone (instead of from the controller) and at least produce a movie without any transmission glitches that might be present in the controller footage? Correct? Thank you for your tutorials. Very concise and informative. I am certain a lot of work goes into making them. Subscribed!

Thank you for subscribing! Correct. Downloading the footage should provide glitch-free Mastershots in 1080. Hopefully, someday, we can take advantage of 4k... just not today. Happy flying!

Sorry. We don’t have that drone. Wish we could help. I have seen people add that functionality for a variety of drones as a toggle on one of the customizable buttons of the RC Pro. Not sure what controller you use.

Hi Jerry. Great video. So all of this just to capture the audio out of the dji app to edit it onto the 4K video from the drone? Could I just pull the video from the drone and add my own audio in the editor and achieve the same results?

Hey Jim! Sure thing. I’m not crazy about the music they use anyway. The automated flight is the best part. It produces some excellent footage in a snap.

Thanks for another excellent video. Using the video produced by the controller to edit the 4k footage is an excellent idea.

Do you know where/what is the Mastershot configuration file? I used to be able to re-upload Mastershot files from HDD backup back to the Mini 3 Pro and be able to use the Mastershot templates whenever needed. Once I did a factory reset on the drone and the RC, the Mastershot video clips show as regular clips and Mastershot templates can no longer be applied. This makes me think that the actual config file/files which holds the Mastershot-specific info is not part of the actual video clips but it is stored elsewhere - either in the drone or in the RC.

I do not. Probably on the controller as an xml file. Although, knowing DJI, it has a different extension. Good luck 🍀.

Does the sequence ever fly LOWER than the start height? Hoping no to avoid obstacles, but haven't found clarification. Thanks

In our experience, no. However, we haven’t tested all of them. Plus, one of the settings controls height and it controls how high it goes from the starting location. As long as all obstacles are lower than the starting location, I think you’ll be okay.
