Instagram has had it for a while. Although, they used to have a minimum number of followers before it was enabled... but that restriction seems to have been removed. Take care!
I love your instructions. Always helpful. On this Instagram one there is a loophole not covered in your video that took me the better part of an hour to figure out and fix. Apparently if you have a basic or Personal Instagram Account you do not get the Create +"Live" Drop Down Option. To fix this, you need to switch from a Personal Account to Either a "Creator Account" or "Professional Account". Here is how to navigate: Under Instagram Side Menu at the bottom select (More) + (Settings) + Scroll down under heading "For professionals" select "(Account type and tools) + (Switch to professional account) + either (Creator) or (Business). Finally don't forget to press (Done) at the bottom to confirm the change. Once you locate these option, you can easily swap between the three choices as well as switching back and forth but the "Personal Account" option removes the Live selection menu option.

Restream just passes the stream on to whatever streaming service you’re using. Instagram, Facebook, RUclips, etc. Your viewers will be able to watch from a browser on their phone (or the app) of the service. Just like if you had posted a message or photo on that service.
Hi Jerry.....Nice hearing from you. This was a great video BUT...I do not do Instagram or any other live streaming. It always good to see the tech available out there though. I need to get out and shoot some more video and put that new Mac to work. The render time is crazy on that studio...........👍

Hi, thanks for this great tutorial very well explained. I tried to follow it with the Mini 3 Pro but i get this error on Restream (keyframe interval 1 recommended 2). Any solution?
Yeah… just ignore or tap the “X” to close it. It’s not a setting available to you from DJI. In the video, we do show the message with a note to just ignore it. We haven’t seen any ill effect, just not their ideal setting.
So if I took my iPad to a shoot location and used the Chrome browser in desktop mode would I be able to do everything mentioned? The way you made it sound is I will have to do a lot of the set up stuff at home on the computer before I even get to the shoot location. What aspect ratio is Instagram playing the video? Is it 16:9 or 4:5 or 9:16? When viewers are watching the livestream, are they seeing a clean feed or are they seeing all the telemetry I see on my RC Pro screen especially if I have the DJI Mic receiver plugged into the controller. You also mentioned some people have said the audio sounds over modulated when the DJI Mic receiver is plugged into the controller. Does it appear over modulated with the levels you can monitor? Is there any way to test the audio to make sure it’s not hot? Lastly, do you have your phone or iPad mounted on a stand or something so you can read comments and answer questions during your livestream while you’re flying?
We tried a number of work arounds to “fool” the the browser to think it wasn’t a mobile device so that we could utilize the stream via an encoder. I can’t say we spent a lot of time experimenting with the iPad. Please let us know if you are successful. Instagram prefers portrait vs landscape. Which some drones now accommodate. However, I have only tested using landscape. At first I thought it cropped the sides. But, I have seen at least once where I was able to view uncropped. But you shouldn’t assume your viewers are seeing it in landscape. Always assume it’s cropped. Yes. Clean feed. Not your screen. Test your audio in Practice mode. You can do it at home viewing on another device. I recommend using earphones. Yes. You can see and respond to messages on the stream interface. Please don’t tell me you’re piloting and reading the comments at the same time 😀. I don’t have an opinion about stand mount. Remember, we use computer to start the stream.

And you’re using a computer? I had read some time ago that they require a minimum number of followers. But the account I used has like 5… so I assumed the requirement was no longer in place. I may have that account setup as a business account??? I wonder if that’s the difference. There’s no cost to a business account if you want to try that.
Confirmed. After receiving your post, I created a non-professional test account. It has the same exact symptom you describe. I switched it to a professional "creator" account magically the option for live video now appears. We are producing a video on it now. Thanks!

I cant type in the Stream Key from Instagram into Restream. If i want to add a channel restream only wants Username and URL. Doesnt ask for the key…
Yes. I have had both experiences. At first it asked for the key and later it didn’t (I mentioned it in the video). But, it worked?!
