One of the things I love most about this synth and the Arturia Microfreak is the lack of bass. It just leaves the perfect amount of space in the lowend so you have plenty of room for a punchy kick and bassline. Combine with something like a Moog Minitaur and drums of your choice and you barely have to touch the EQ when mixing. Perfect!
I have the tabletop version, like the Dave Smith Roger Linn Tempest every good recording studio should have a Hydrasynth, this is an amazing new synth engine.
Question: received my hydra kb. Sounds amazing BUT....but...with master volume cranked the volume only registers up to -16db on my meters. Is the synths output low, or could this be an issue.
