  • THE GEO. RE:LOADED.
    The Eclipse Geo. The iconic spool valve marker that has earned its place alongside the greatest marker platforms in the game and a worthy sibling to the mighty Eclipse Ego, is back. More agile, more refined and even more equipped than ever.
    The new Geo R5 platform makes giant leaps forwards with a host of incredible new features. A brand new GR drivetrain, the latest electronics stack and a flowing ergonomics package that will reignite the passion for the Geo once more.
    Through its numerous iterations, the Geo has always proven to be the spool marker of choice for players seeking something truly unique; the Geo R5 delivers once again. Unmatched performance, supreme efficiency and bulletproof reliability are standards famously consistent with ALL Planet Eclipse markers, but it’s the peerless, buttery smooth and incredibly stable shot characteristics of the Geo R5, wrapped in a progressive design package that truly sets it apart from its rivals and any Geo that came before it. A truly exceptional marker.

    It seems like a lot of people really don't understand this marker. Yes, the CS3 will do everything you need it to do and work every time. If that's all that you want, that's not who this Geo is for. The Geo R5 is for people who appreciate differences in shot quality and the shot that the IV core has to offer. I've owned all of the Luxes, I have a Squish GT now alongside a DSR and my CS1. I think the CS1 with the SFR is the smoothest shooter of all of them, and I really enjoy that. This Geo is for the smoothness fiends who think smoothness and shot signature is important; if all you want is to show up and play, you honestly don't need more than a 170r or an Etha 2 even, but I'm really excited for this Geo.

    • @planeteclipse
      @planeteclipse  3 месяца назад +8

      Nailed it. CS1 began life as a Geo too, it had the IVCore, then the CS line changed, becoming NOT a Geo due to the IVCore and its unique character and smoothness being omitted. CS2 started the new CS path of introducing new things and a high end development of the Gamma Core (GP Core). Geo came back with the Geo4 to give people that very specific smooth, stable platform with room to tune because we were inundated with requests for it. This R5 only compares to a CS3 in terms of it now having such a thorough redesign, inside and out, that it can now sit up there with the CS3 and proudly say it is bang up to date and in tune with how the best markers should feel and perform.

    LV2, CS3, 180R, and now the Geo R5. what does the R5 bring to the table that the other 3 dont? not hating at all. It just seems like we are getting a lot of the same guns with different millings.

    • @sneezeguard117
      @sneezeguard117 3 месяца назад +13

      Lv2 is completely different to all guns you just mentioned. Cs3 is your high end spooly option, 180r is your midrange and this geo will be another high end spooly option that has different features, ergonomics and shot feel than the cs3. You now have plenty of options depending on what you want out of your marker

      Basically the biggest thing is the tunability of the Geo line. Unlike the CS and GTEK platforms, the Geo line is tunable with an adjustable SFR. This will either decrease or increase bolt speed, resulting in a smoother or poppier shot. Combined with some electronic timing adjustments, and you can have a marker that's literally twice as smooth as when you got it out of the box.
      The only downside to this, is that because of the tunability (similar to the LV platform) you'll never get a mech conversion without literally adding on a whole extra piece onto the marker to make it work as a mech marker. So upsides/downsides. LV and GEOs can be tuned to how you like it to shoot, CS and GTEK all just shoot but can convert. ETHA, ETEK, EMEK, all are basically then stuck in their respective firing modes but same deal of just firing.

    I was really excited when a single finger electric frame was made available for the CS3, to the point that I was considering selling the Freeflow Trix I waited a year for (the selling point of which was the option of having single finger electric). I know you said there wouldn’t be a mech frame made available, but PLEASE give us a single finger electric frame option for this marker!

      The R5 is what the Geo is right now, the Geo4 was as good as it could be at the time. Geo4 was an evolution of the platform without having to break everything, the Geo R5 is a complete redesign. You should check out the FB Live we did, lots of key components were discussed to show how all those design changes could be made.

A dab of grease and 2 o rings every 20k shots. So what I’m asking PLEEEEEASE find a way to add in the prop shaft cutoff adjustment screw so it can really be the new greatest marker ever made. @planeteclipse  3 месяца назад

      The entire GR drivetrain is new, but it does compare to an IVCore because that defines what a Geo should feel like when playing. Smooth, stable, low kick. GP Core and OP Core in CS2 and CS3 behave very differently.

      Nope. Pay close attention to the prop shaft changes, bolt length, bumper locations and porting on the bolt. Seems to be a lot going on here. It also seems to have a ton of volume to help with the lower operating pressure though.
