WHAT IS RESEARCH DESIGN/ QUANTITATIVE-EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH DESIGN

- Research Design is an important aspect of research methodology which describes the research major types, quantitative, qualitative or mixed.
In quantitative research, the two major designs are EXPERIMENTAL AND NON-EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH DESIGNS.
Experimental Research Design is concerned primarily with the cause and effect relationships of the major variables, in particular the independent variable and the dependent variable.
Under the Experimental Research Design, the following types and subtypes are enumerated and discussed one-by-one in the video.
TRUE EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design
Posttest Only Control Group Design
Solomon Four-Group Design
QUASI-EXPERIEMENTAL DESIGN
Non-equivalent Design
Time Series Design
PRE-EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN

Aside from the in-depth discussion of the types and subtypes of these research designs, Ma'am Ana provided examples and illustrations of these designs so viewers specifically the student-researchers could fully understand them.

Hi, could I ask, if a study involves letting participant watch a video of a well dressed person, and a second video of a causally dressed person, and getting them to select which person they find more trustworthy.

stressed parin ako sa gagamitin kong research design, since hindi ko pwedeng gamitin yung intervention na ginawa namin since medyo unethical... I was thinking of focusing nalang po sa process ng food product making pero parang hindi po tlga pasok yung experimental research design. Does that mean mag fa-fall nalang po kami under descriptive research design since mag o-observe nlng kami... ang vague paren

Hello po Ma'am! May question po sana ako. Yung mga types of research design, applicable naman po siya sa inanimate objects? so far po puro tao ginagawang example po sa mga magtatake ng pre at post test. Pano po kaya kung inanimate devices po yung nasa experimental at control group? applicable pa din po kaya ang mga pretest at post test?
Like anong inanimate objects po ba yan?
If gagawa ka ng device for example, descriptive developmental po ang design mo.
@@anaph Thank you po Ma'am sa pagentertain ng question ko😊 About po sa biotechnology na microbial fuel cell po kasi yung study namin. And bacteria at yung device lang naman po yung mga variables namin, so wala pong taong isusurvey or sasagot ng questionnaire po. Lalagay lang po kami ng intervention sa microbial fuel cell tpos po titingnan namin yung electrical output po nung device. Pero po balak namin gumamit ng pre test and post test po para sa evaluation nung device. Kaso yun po, puro yata questionnaire at survey na tao lang po makakasagot yung post test at pre test.
Dahiil sayo mam nagiging malinaw ang malabo hehe :) super thankful to you ma'am :) more meaningful videos to come :)

Hello ma'am ask lang po ako po, may nabasa po kasi ako about research ethics, paano po yung person's right to service, use of a no-treatment group is bawal daw po. Rights to equal access to services daw po ang dapat. Na.confused lang po ako po..Salamat po ma'am...Actually, nagtuturo din po kasi ako ng research kaya medyo na.confused po ako po..😅😅

No po, pipili lang kayo anong specific type ang gagamitin nyo, hindi po lahat. Just dont forget to specify it in your Research Design explanation sa Chapter 4 sa Methodology of the Study part.

Hi there! Actually po nasa sa atin po bilang researcher ang decision sa method ng research na gagamitin natin, if quali ba or quanti type. Now one basic info, kapag quali po, it doesn't involve statistical computation, kasi sa quanti po yun.
