The main aim of the study is to examine the various sources of energy that mining companies use and the corresponding cost implications to the operations of these companies.

1.To evaluate the perceived benefits of alternative energy sources at the Goldfields Tarkwa mines.

Should the embedded design have two different research questions? I‘m confused because I have read it only in one paper…but not in the others I have found. I have one research question where I‘m planning to do one qualitative online survey with also quantiative questions to just support the qualitative data. So this would be embedded right?

Yes, this specific situation would require a quantitative approach. However, if you also wanted to explore the reasons why each person used each tool, you may consider a mixed method approach.
