DO MORE - DO MORE - DO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how AMAZING this is for education. You are simply brilliant to come up with this. Please, make more in this genre. I've never been so impressed with a 3D modeling instructional video.
Thank you, Deanne Bell, for this amazing video! Starting my class off with this on day #1 really brought these concepts to life for my students before they even touched our chosen CAD software, and made learning things much faster. Genius-level video.
Probably charted the area into a 3D space on some modeling software and animated around the person, tweaking things to fit with the motions of the actress. Probably a few other things done like that, but that's what I think most likely happened
> _"But i don't think she used it because blender has different terms"_ @@aivanosgg2269 the video can be not _about_ blender, but still be made _in_ blender lol
Too bad there weren't more tutorials like this. 1 or 2 examples per important tool would have been perfect. Probably would have been the best 3D Modeling tutorial online.
@ 1:00 in 3D [mechanics] ROUND bevel is called FILLET, and FLAT bevel is called CHAMFER [you made really big engineering mistake] @ 1:05 in 3D this feature usually is called ARRAY, not PATTERN like in graphic design rather fun, than educative
this just in, man desperate to find something to "well actually," devolves into a pedantic criticism of the names of different processes which change from program to program
The name depends on the program, actually the feature @ 1:05 is called Pattern in NX and Solid Edge. BTW here in Germany 4 different words mean extrusion, that's just rediculous: -Linear ausgetragener Aufsatz -Ausprägung -Aufpolsterung -Extrusion
I understood most of it, even though some of it is named differently now. Like pattern is an array. Sweep is just extruding on a curve. Round and fillet is just beveling. Revolve I haven't touched yet.

I've used this video at the start of my k-12 design technology class every year. Amazing content

+1 for this! I''m showing this video to all my 3D design students first thing this year - would love more like it.

Jesus! Everything you need to know in 2 mins! Beautiful
The actress is amazing and the concepts are very well explained but I'm even more interested in how the motion designer got this done. Any idea?
Probably charted the area into a 3D space on some modeling software and animated around the person, tweaking things to fit with the motions of the actress. Probably a few other things done like that, but that's what I think most likely happened
@@politicallyerect2460 probably using after effects with some other 3d program.
She's a mechaninca engeneer, not an actress haha
Blender can add on a video 3d objects, and it has camera tracking. But i don't think she used it because blender has different terms.

The thirty ass comments tho, can't say I didn't expect it. The video's amazing and explains the basic concepts clearly, good job guys
Appealing way of learning basic 3D concepts.
This video was a lot of fun to watch. It helped me grasp some of the concepts that I haven't before.
Probably one of the best Video on the internet
this is a good intro before actually installing blender and getting lost in the process
I imagine my wife arriving when I am watching this video…«I thought you was working?!!!!!»
cedrix57 hhhhh..no no don't worry about that ; tell her it's a 3d modeling lesson...
Greetings from Arabia
@@waddahalbaini2445 do you guys have computers there?
3D has never been this more accessible. Thanks to blender and amazing tutors like blender guru.
Now I model as good as I can draw in 2D lol

Boolean is missing :(
I'm crying in the club right now
Makes my transition from blender to Cad alot more better
Wow this was a very good video! I enjoyed this.
screw the modeling, we al know it. this girl is pretty!!! :)

What a fun video! I hope you had as much fun making it as we (the viewers) did watching it!
Very well structured video I learnt a lot, I'm. 13 and struggling to make character for my game even made some dev logs
tip: You can use blender game engine for a simple start. Theres a lot of tutorials in yt that teach u basics :)
@@koitaneliveaccountd9160 yeh
Btw I use ue4 and made some dev logs in my channel
Super accessible (and fun) presentation!
could you do a few more videos on that extrude option ???
such an IMPRESSIVE video! This really helped m!
anyone got the blender equivalent and shortcuts for these concepts?
man, this music takes me back

what if u can do modeling with your finger like her!
nice video. i really like her way of delivering knowledge
That would be awesome
excellent video, short and sweet
Are you able to make a bigger barometer so we turned a turbine and make electricity round the universe ?
Truly Brilliant!
teachers gotta be for me to learn, i learned something extra

truly precise intro of concepts and fun!
Great content. me like it.🤜
Excellent job!
Amazing! What software do you use to do that?
Blender can do this tipe of things(appling 3d objects to a real video, it has 3d camera tracking too) .
Guauuuu magnifico vídeo buen trabajo muy didáctico y explicativo
All these concepts are great but all I wanna know is how they attacked Motion and keyframes
Love it love it love it..... joined
After 7 year recommendation
Underated video! I'd love to see more 😁
Amazing video! I really liked it

Can you teach people that a single point on a mesh is a VERTEX not a vertice. And, that a Bezier curve is pronounced BEZ-E-AY, not Buh-zeer.
I love ur way of explanation...I love that sweet girl too...
