The reveal that teaching Dragon Communion to humans was Placidusaxx's idea to get rid of the drakes is so good. He knew human greed and hunger for power can destroy anything, even the mighty dragons. And it WORKED.
This might the the only plan that actually worked in the Lands Between.
And then it backfired, once *A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR* started to slay and consume the hearts of his fellow Ancients, and eventually himself
@@ethon3733 lol true
Florissax is one evidence that Dragon mommies like Lansseax's human form is not really human, but a _humanoid_ form dragon.
Anyway, I messed up my questlines and just got her weapon. Also Thollier gone.
It's just too easy to break the seal =/
“my one and only Lord” now where did we hear that before…
Miyazaki! Let me summon her in Ancient Dragon form!
This is one of those quests where the Map location for this region is super confusing in you're starting above, which is detrimental to this quest. (I saw a TON of _"Still no map"_ messages all over the mountain & even, _"Victory, but still no map"_ in Bayle's arena, so I expect I'm not alone in this).
It meant that I actually ended up exploring East all the way up the peak & killing Bayle before ever backtracking and heading south to even find the Grand Altar and her already dead without ever having spoken to her once.
Really appreciate you compiling all her dialgoue to check out, but also including the criteria for the quest itself, so that I can prioritize getting her Spirit Summon after I start Journey 4 and go back to the Shadow Lands.
I was very angry at the geography/map while playing, but also enamored. In hindsight, the unintuitive geography is one of my highlights of the DLC.
I've been waiting for this. Probably my favorite character when it comes to just about everything. I would probably have been one of Miquella's followers if it weren't for the taste of Drake's and Ancient Dragons alike. So I had to finally take the plunge into NG+ to finally find my imperian, Florissax.
Let our age of old bones and everlasting hunger take place. Not as an age of golden terror but a gentle feeling of want. The want to do whatever anyone seeks.
To me, this was the best reveal of the DLC: that the dragons were in an all-out war against themselves. I would have never thought! I need to recontextualize so much!
@@NeoJettyCertainly true, I'm still writing ideas on how the ancient dragons would have gone about this if the Lord tuck away in time and a wild and wounded Drake still about. Oh so lucky that the vale was put over the lands of shadow.
I wish she had dialogue for if you'd killed Placidusax in the base game. The lack of main game integration in the DLC holds it back a little bit and the fact that it was on purpose makes zero sense to me. Especially since its been properly integrated in past games before, literally EVERY past game in fact.
In DS1, Sif has an alternate cutscene if you'd summoned him for the final dlc boss. In DS2, defeating every DLC final boss makes Vendrick bestow upon you his blessing which ceases hollowing when you wear any of the crowns. In DS3, the final boss acknowledges you differently if you got a certain ending at the end of the base game. This DLC is the only one to have ever gotten that aspect wrong.
Maybe it's for lore-reasons. I don't know, but I agree, that it is very disappointing.
I'm guessing it's because, even if you do kill Placidusax in the Storm Beyond Time, he isn't actually dead "yet" when you meet her.
Farum Azula wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey.
I must say your showcases along with the camera work make the story feel as grand it should feel. Great stuff
Thank you for showcasing her dialogue!
Also, is there death dialogue like other npcs or she can’t even be killed?
You can not use your weapon near her. Similiar to Roundtable Hold.
@@NeoJetty huh, that is very interesting!
Wow, the visuals are so good during daytime that I just skipped nights whenever possible, never got to see her night prayer, or administer the sleep potion as a result lol
Wish someone left a "night required" message, but I guess this is a bit trickier than spotting a deathbird. That incant + summon look real nice too, not to mention dialog, shame it slipped past me.
These vids are real nice
Especially hard if there are two requirements like talking to Igon first and then going back at night.
@@NeoJetty Yea I did talk to Igon and came back to see if there's more dialog to exhaust, just didn't make the night time connection from Ancient Dragon's Blessing's description. Amateur move on my end lmao should have taken it literally
There’s an interesting point about the spirit ash version of the character :
When you summon her during combat you could hear her talk as she cast her own incantation
I’m not very clear the exact words, is it possible anyone help extract them?
For my noble Lord! | In the name of my brave Lord! I was summoning her to try to tease it out, but she did not talk for me. Gave up to quickly =/
@@NeoJetty much appreciated
