Deer that grew up in metro areas will let you get remarkably close to them, but not this close. I’ve been almost within arms reach of wild deer in the city where I live but this is very unusual.
Tbh that's not good for the deer, it can really fuck them up! They become to reliant on humans to feed them and take care of them. So it's not getting the knowledge it needs to survive on its own. And this goes for any animal, there's a story in South Carolina where I'm from, about a alligator that was fed by humans when it was a baby, and became very trusting of humans. And one day it walked up to someone and startled them so they called for help and rangers killed the poor thing! Never befriend wild animals. You'll only be hurting them in the future
Even if they are raised as a baby by humans, they should've been released back into the wild with the herd, the baby wouldve gain his "wild instinct " back. There is a video somewhere about this on the internet

Absolutely. Many people have rescued fawns whose mother was eaten by a predator ( usually bear and big cats......hunters don't kill does during the season of rearing & raising fawns and never have ) and once they are big enough & healthy enough, set them free, yet the deer continues to return to be fed for season after season. This is certainly one of those deer.

I knew they'd be waiting on the corn, but damn, I didn't know they come all the way up to the house for it. Yeah there's no way. Far too comfortable with the humans.... it's hungry though! Lol...poor baby! I, too, hope it finds its way home.
@@sheilaf1946 In Japan their deer are wild but act just like this. They're referred to as a type of deity and the deer travel to a shrine that has heavy crowds of worshippers. The worshippers feed the deer by hand and bow to the deer. The deer are so used to the bowing that when someone bows their head, the deer actually bows back.
They're fully wild and 100% friendly. They're touched and petted and hand fed daily.
How do you know? I went camping in the mountains and we had three deers walked up to us unafraid.
@Jerrol Hale obviously. The point is, the deer doesn't have to be domesticated to act this way. I've seen deer do things like this while I was living in Nebraska
@@cecilwarren4587 I live in Louisiana and the same. Almost knocked one in the head when I opened my back door. It jumped the fence and climbed up our back steps to eat some corn I had put down to move out into the field. Deer couldn't even wait and just helped themselves. I knew they'd be waiting on the corn, but damn, I didn't know they come all the way up to the house for it.
We don't hunt deer on our 14 acres and legally you're not allowed to due to the positioning of the surrounding houses. So our 14 acres is sanctuary for wild deer and we feed them regularly. We've also been after some poachers on our field as well. And legally, it's not safe to be firing in random directions. So the poachers are actually endangering people by doing this.
So we have heavy deer traffic right in our back yard.
The deer kept going to him to tell him to stop recording vertically
Lol

Imagine if this deer has kids and starts a whole new generation of friendly ones
That Maternal DNA is something else, God bless the women “do we have canned corn” too cute lol
Has absolutely nothing to do with male or female anything. It's about experience and that ONE older woman obviously has experience that she may have learned from her father or husband. The average person doesn't know to feed deer corn, maternal instinct doesn't tell you that.
The GF is funny at the very end. She yells don’t let her leave.
