    • @MrJackrussell12
      @MrJackrussell12 5 лет назад +6

      Tbh that's not good for the deer, it can really fuck them up! They become to reliant on humans to feed them and take care of them. So it's not getting the knowledge it needs to survive on its own. And this goes for any animal, there's a story in South Carolina where I'm from, about a alligator that was fed by humans when it was a baby, and became very trusting of humans. And one day it walked up to someone and startled them so they called for help and rangers killed the poor thing! Never befriend wild animals. You'll only be hurting them in the future

Many people have rescued fawns whose mother was eaten by a predator ( usually bear and big cats......hunters don't kill does during the season of rearing & raising fawns and never have ) and once they are big enough & healthy enough, set them free, yet the deer continues to return to be fed for season after season. This is certainly one of those deer.

      In winter they enjoy eating acorns and any root fruits that they can find such as carrots, of course especially wild carrots.
      Feeding them cereal grains is also an option, such as oats.
      You should avoid feeding deer corn, barley, wheat or other foods that have too much starch, because it can lead to digestive problems and eventually a potential death from these health problems. Trust me, some animals are fragile when it comes to their diets.
      Of course, feeding corn to deer won't matter much if you plan on baiting and hunting them. But don't feed deer starchy foods.

      I think it’s slightly different in Scotland. Deer are docile in the Scottish Highlands because wolves were eradicated centuries ago, meaning they have had no predator for many generations.

      @Plz I Fan if theyre around humans enough the will.become docile. Waterton national park has deer like this. They just walk the streets and are in people's yards. I also remember a family of black bears who lived on our golf course. They were also friendly. I was about 15 feet away from the mother and her Cubs without even knowing they were there. They were also used to human encounters.

      Has absolutely nothing to do with male or female anything. It's about experience and that ONE older woman obviously has experience that she may have learned from her father or husband. The average person doesn't know to feed deer corn, maternal instinct doesn't tell you that.
