Great video! Really solid engineering for the figure in most ways. The only strange thing is the 2 windshields in bot mode, but the transformation is very cartoon accurate so I can see why they did it that way.
the logic of this toy eludes me. motor master is supposed to form the actual torso of menasor. yet here dx9 presents the trailer as the frame onto which all stunticons are supposed to attach themselves to. sorry, i think DX9 completely missed the point of what a combiner is. but awesome review as always bro 👍🏻😀

Well, it's kind of like this... In order to have Motormaster himself scale properly in robot/truck modes, and STILL combine (including his trailer components, as with BOTH G1 toy AND cartoon renditions) to form a solid looking Menasor Combiner, there's REALLY not much other option. I think, if we're ALL honest with ourselves, we have to admit that it makes logical sense, whether we like it or NOT... But at the same time, let's face it, NO matter HOW they approached this, SOMEONE was definitely going to bitch about it... EVEN IF it were perfectly executed, SOMEONE would complain that it's "too perfect". We ALL KNOW that's true too, LOL! 😅
Seriously though, there's either going to be a crap ton of "kibble" or scale issues to bitch about if it's all one piece, OR it's too "partsformey"... They cannot win with this guy, no matter what, because of THOSE unavoidable design element obstacles, built INTO the character. At SOME point, people just have to buy it and get over it, don't buy it, or just get over it in general. It is what it is, and it looks FREAKING AWESOME. NONE of us could do this better than they have done it, and WITHOUT a bunch of little bits and pieces to keep track of for combined mode.
I likely won't be able to get this figure, but I would if an opportunity presents itself later on, even though I'm not into MP stuff myself. I think it's extremely effective, but that's JUST MY opinion...
Shane Hai agree mate, Dx9 capone is pretty neat and Menasor is fantastic, I think figures turn out cleaner and nicer when the combiner torso is separate,
When Menasor disengages during "The Key to Vector Sigma part 2" you can actually see the trailer makes up black part of the body. The grayish legs are the truck Cab.
I'm usually okay with some parts of a combiner being seperate pieces, even stuff like the waist... but when the rest of the combiner is quite literally BIGGER than the main chest bot, yeah that seems just a tad bit too much for me. At that point its like what's the point of even buying the main bot, might as well have an option to just buy the combiner parts if your only after the combined mode.

Lol😹 you mean late sample. My only quarrel with the Dx9 Stunticons is the use of a single piece hip skirt. Definitely still an amazing figure forsure! Great review!

you forgot a step in the transformation of the legs, before lifting the foot you have to lift the front of the truck, turn it, fold it and reposition it. Nice review thanks
I wanna see Hasbro attempt a Mainline MP Motormaster. Just to see what it’s like. I think it’ll be pretty cool.

The head is supposed to be push backed by the neck and the box on the head can push out so it isn't to flush emgo showed it
Dx9 with the first completed menasor (minus the arms) I can't wait for it to be finished
I really hope I don't regret buying Fanstoys Roadking because Capone and Tombstone both look really good too. My only problem with this version of Motor Master is how the cab splits apart and doesn't look right without the trailer part attached whereas Roadking is all one solid piece.
Also I like the colors of Roadking slightly better.

You should try to apply a hairdry for a few seconds on the joints that are really tight

I really don't like the look of this figure. You can notice the difference between official and 3P figures by their level of detail. In this case, Motormaster has been reduced to his absolute blocky basics without the finer sculpting you would find on HasTak figures. As usual, it's overpriced for what you're getting.
