A really fun version of Motormaster, Which Menasor train are people currently riding?
Dx9 for me, so far dx9 capone at first. Henry montana still on my wishlist.
FansToys for me still, they got a very good MP shelf reputation, but playability is a big factor for me. I will definitely be considering DX9. Most likely though in the end, I will pick the biggest Menasor of the choices.

I love this figure! I think I actually prefer him to the FT because you can mess about with him. He's not perfect no, but he has.. something! Love it. The bug is rather cool! :)
The Fanstoys is a great looking figure, but that transformation WILL break eventually, mark my words
Of all the old transformers from G1, Motormaster is one of my favourites to see in third party masterpiece form. Everyone has a different take on his mass shifting, integrating his trailer, how his combiner mode works, he's a real treat whenever a third party takes on the Stunticons. I was really impressed with how Capone here tidied up when you transformed him, and those arms were the perfect amount of complexity for me, this guy's my jam!

Controversial he may be, but I think it's an absolutely stunning piece, especially in vehicle mode. The length gives it elegance and presence IMO.
If I buy Capone and I'm strongly considering over the other options, the trailer will never be in trailer mode, and I think it's beyond cool the trailer transforms into the Menasor skeleton. Although Capone can fit in the back torso of Menasor, I think he will look better posed in robot mode with my XTB limb bots than Gravestone would. Win x2 in my book.
The cool thing about this Motormaster is that his cab CAN be separated from that little trailer piece that makes up the upper body, you can keep him in partsforming mode or just rescrew the top back on. This is by far the best Motormaster/Menasor ever made, you really can't fully appreciate it until it is in hand...I was blown away. Well worth it, for the price it is actually extremely good value. It quickly became my favorite release of all time.

You missed out flipping the panels on the lower legs that hide the 'truck's' grill and gives him the extra purple section.
I noticed the same thing in other reviews, it may be that it is not listed in the instructions. I'm curious to see what Emgo😆 will do

Ben, I don't know if you know already, but at 14:11 when you talk about the "double stacked truck front" on the feet, the panel behind the faux toe actually does flip around to produce the purple "window" thing that was on the cartoon. This is the most cartoon accurate Motormaster...it has all the little details like that. They are a bit of a pain to flip around but they do flip and fold to make it more show accurate, it's wonderful.
I love the trailer as it was extremely long!
XTB's take on Motormaster is really nice too, although I'm gutted they went with releasing the trailer/Menasor parts separately at a later date after all. I'm gonna have Gravestone as my Menasor, Roadking in bot mode and Capone in vehicle mode. The extra trailer length makes the DX9 one the winner for vehicle mode in my book. I don't normally buy multiple MP-scale versions of the same character to display all the modes, but Motormaster was an exception. :D
I've seen a few pre-order prices for the XTB trailer around $220-$230ish. I was considering getting their "youth" versions for a toy accurate team but seeing the extra price for the trailer is making me think twice. I leaned toward DX9 initially cause I think they will have the better looking toon inspired Menasor by virtue it's more like a titan class figure than a combiner. It doesn't have to rely so much on parts forming and additional engineering so they've more wiggle room to make it look like a "complete" figure. I prefer DX9's scale too as combiners were typically bigger bots. Limb bots should scale to Ironhide's height; leaders Prime's height according to Sunbow's models. And I agree with Ben about DX9 doing playability well. I'm really hands on with my collection.
What's killing me with DX9's set tho is Dragstrip and his poor *visible head*. Such a rookie mistake!
That said, if XTB can release the youth version as a set at a bit more reasonable price...I'll be just as pleased to have it in my collection. It was a close second for me. DX9 just happened to hit a few more personal likes. Honestly we should be happy we're so spoiled for choice!! lol
And one thing I like about your review on this figure is that you did a comparison with the MP-10 Optimus Prime trailer, which other reviewers didn't do any comparisons!

I going with Xtransbots. I don’t like the scale of the car bots for DX9 or Fanstoy. DX9 trailer is way too long.
Ultra Jazz XTransbots scale is ridiculous Motormaster is 10x Taller than everyone, I personally have Dx9 And I think it scales well with my Megatron and He looks okay with Breakdown and Wild-rider, Yh The Trailer is long but I can sort of forgive them for that as the trailer turns into and awesome menasoe

For me i prefer the Xtransbot version and even the DX9 version over the FT version to me that folding trailer on his back is going to be a problem with time plus i don't like the way it looks too it looks like he has a accordion for backpack

The combined form is worse than Zeta Toys. At least Zeta didn't have to make an exoskeleton for their combiners. I prefer Fans Toys and XTransbots.
Mann!! The figure is absolutely phenomenal! Definitely an easy pickup for me. I actually don't mind the cab being a little long. To be honest I actually prefer it, would like to display him next to Fanshobby mb-06b and mb-11b Super Power Master Optimus Prime Nucleon Quest. I was going to get the X-transbots Gravestone but am not sure? Now! Personally I think he doesn't scale well with his Team. There like up to his waist. I know people like that Xtransbots Stunticons scale with the mp Autobot cars but I feel like there Motormaster should be the same height as prime. Not to mention am not to fund of the sides of the wing Backpack. It's weird, I didn't really see it! Until a couple of reviewers started mentioning it, and now I cant help it. As always great video!
Yeah...According to the Sunbow models, combiner leaders should be about prime's height, and limb bots should actually be around Ironhide's height. The bots are bigger in the animation than people remember lol. DX9's scale is actually proper in that regard. ...but that's if you want to scale that way of course! lol Scale is in the eye of the beholder and the beauty is there's no wrong choices :)

It's very nice how Motormaster cleans up. Sure, Fanstoys version transforms along with the trailer, but at the price of huge, ugly backpack. I think I prefer DX9's approach :). (though it's very unlikely that I could afford any of 3p stunticons).
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to nitpick, I really enjoy your videos. But I'm not native English speaker, so it's borderline impossible for me to understand you when you stray away from mic or lower your voice. If it's unavoidable, could you edit your videos (before uploading) so the volume of your voice would be at the same level throughout entire video?
I’d say out of the 3 Company’s, DX9 did the worst job at the faux can feet. A slight bit of ankle tilt and you’ve compromised the point of the faux feet 😐

He did mention that like the Zeta versions of Superion & Bruticus, it plugs into the back.
If my eyes didn't immediately go to the double/real/fake cab legs, this guy would be the clear winner of the three. But seeing the fake cab sitting in front of the real cab is too distracting. Which is really stupid, because with the way it is designed, they could have made the front and side panels of the real cab invert.
I like Roadking better, esp with its mass-shifting feet.
Does motormaster combine with this trailer or no? Kinda a weird combiner. I do like it tho.

You really don't get many options in alt mode, with his trailer he looks ridiculous and without it even worse. I have both FT and XTRBTS versions and this is by far the worse in my opinion buuuut you do get menasor so they're winning in that department....for now.
You can take the little trailer off and have the cab by itself, becomes a little parts-forming because now the top half of the body is separate but it all tabs together in the end. The trailer is a little long because they straight up give you Menasor with your Motormaster. I really do like the XTB but this release is my favorite. I own both XTB and this one, this one was purchased second and it blew me away. Online reviews do not do this figure justice. You must play with it and feel it to really understand why it is actually the best. One of those rare transformers that I just can't keep my hands off of...its so fun and cartoon accurate.
This thing looks amazing from the head to the knees, below that looks like crap unfortunately :(
At this point though I'm committed to the X-Transbot Menasor and I'm not rich enough to get multiples of the same characters :(
