To use up salsa make breakfast wraps! I make ten on Sunday then keep them in the fridge and heat them up in a mini sandwich press to crisp them up when we want one. Fry your egg”omelette style”, place on tortilla, add some salsa and shredded cheese, then roll up and place them in fry pan to ‘seal’ the rolls. We go through a pint jar a week.

First things first, your pantry is beautiful! Second, a note about the baked beans: As soon as the sugar is added, they will stop softening. So, if you are finding them tough, try boiling them a little bit longer before adding the other ingredients. 😊

I highly recommend Ruthann Zimmerman’s caned baked beans. She has a RUclips video of making them. They are super easy and absolutely delicious! I’ve made 2 large batches now, the way she does them you can make a small batch to try them to see how you like them. We love them!

double up the soil over the roots of your trees, and then wrap the trunks in the winter. make sure it's something that is water proof. that will help keep the trees from getting to cold when it frosts. some trees will bud again if they are well protected in the springs and you get your fruit that way. problem is most people don't know these tricks to keep plants protected because they've been lost over the years

You could make magnet backed labels or add a long length of Velcro along the front so you can place your labels with Velcro backs in any location without having to move tags you placed under a jar.

Salsa, chicken, black beans, corn in the crock pot till chicken is easily shredded. Shred the chicken add a block of cream cheese and some shredded cheddar. Mix well, heat till melted, serve over chips.

I find the green chiles, worth the work involved.
I roast Hatch green chiles every August when they are in season and arrive at the store.
I can about 24 half pints!! I add them to my canned pork roast and make carnitas!!

Even though the family is not at home all the time. Collect some of the long-term basics. Beans, rice, and wheat. They keep a long time, and they are relatively inexpensive compared to most other food. If needed they can be used with you regular food.

I think you can use those shelf extenders...like those white ones you have. To go up. And use that lost space. .....as i listen to the vid. U just said put a piece of wood on the outside. U just gave me an idea. U can put a "n" shape wood shelf to bump up ur other cans! ❤❤❤❤😊

I cleaned out my side by side refrigerator today and goodness the amount of stuff I found that I had forgotten about. 😊I’ve gone through the pantries as well. I think hubby and I are pretty set for the winter except for dairy items. We have enough to share with our daughter and her family of 5.
I just recently started the journey of being a stay at home wife (started the full time journey last year).

The Domestic Geek (That's her name/brand) has a freezer meal recipe umm...Black Bean & Sweet Potato Enchiladas..and that contained salsa I think..The Pioneer Woman has a 7-can chili stew?? I always use it as a dip for my Tostitoes chips. I think that has a lot of the stuff on your shelves. I want to try your Zuppa Toscano, BBQ sauce, Tomato soup, and especially the sweet n sour sauce. I'm so glad I found your channel :)

Hi, You need to board up any windows near your Pantry. Light will cause your canned vegetables to: Oxidation (or in other words turn dark or fade and it will cause them to ruin over time). You may think your food is not going to last that long, but like everyone else they will accumlate. Jessie from Arkansas

My Satsuma is loaded this year. I bought a steamer juicer. So easy to make orange juice. Using Ruth Ann's method: no canning needed. I had a lot of pulp left over so today I made orange-banana jam. Oh my goodness! It is delicious! I found the recipe in the New Ball Canning Cookbook. I didn't think I wanted bananas in orange jam. I was wrong! So, now I'm excited about making jam from the byproduct of OJ .
