Oh Lucy, thank you thank you......I MUST have any Range Rover OR Porsche on my drive, You're such an inspiration to me. I wish all car content providers were like you.
Years ago I bought a L405 Supercharged 5.0 to replace my aging L322. Since then I restored a Range Rover Classic Softdash and just picked up a California 2012 L322 with the Supercharged 5.0 as I missed my L322. I had the dealer flat bed it to my mechanic where he replaced all coolant pipes/hoses, water pump, supercharger bushing, valve covers/gaskets, fuel injectors, spark plugs, vacuum pump, trans service, t-case service, diff service.......$6,000. The timing chains were replaced at some point or that would have been another $6k. Once these cars go off warranty, they get sold to the second owner who flog them and ignore basic maintenance. Thats when they blow engines and become parts cars.
With you on the car, awsome drive,,nice looking, I'm in car trade myself, but would never buy one we get so many come in with issues all the time, lovely cars, but defo not worth the hassle,
I came over from australia and bought a range rover sport and drove round europe...20000kms in 2 months...went into limp mode few times due to split hose which took 2 months to diagnose...then hit a bollard and insurance paid me out more than the purchase price!...great memories!
its the only car that never seems to look outdated or out of place it just blends into the scenery so well.. and i always say one of Land Rovers Finest
Pretty fair summary! My other negative is that I find a lot of the parts always seem to be on an interminable backorder, which means repairs are often delayed (or you have to faff about trying to seek out alternatives). Your vehicle might have to sit for weeks waiting for a critical part. Of course, that is always luck of the draw depending on what you need. To be fair, not just a RR issue.
Lucy, I think a lot of people would love to own Range Rover as they represent a luxurious and stylish vehicle. The cost of maintenance and reliability, at least here in the USA, put most buyers off. That being said, if I could afford owning one. I WOULD. I really enjoy your opinions on the cars you rest/own
Hi Lucy, I have just seen one, 4.2 supercharged . I might get it, what do you think, have you driven one? I don't really need to worry about fuel consumption as I don't drive my own vehicle to and from work. I just need a large vehicle for a luxury drive and comfort, weekends away taking my cycles, taking my mother out, to the shops, dinner etc, collecting my granddaughter with all her stuff and you know children have a lot of stuff!! ( my granddaughter lives 200 miles away)What do you think? By the way good content, keep it up
I've spent many years of my life daydreaming about buying a Range Rover, spent time looking at Autotrader and independent specialists...but I always end up realising in practice I'd hate the ownership experience even though I can afford it. Thirsty unreliable old buses, put a zero on the end of your usual service or repair bill, and horrible to park up in an urban setting (I live in a city). So why do they attract me? I think it's because I grew up in a rural setting and a Range Rover was such a status symbol, landed gentry and all that. However, the "urban" Range Rover has morphed into something else, I know I'm right to avoid on so many levels. I still can't resist clicking on a Range Rover video though! 😆
you really love those range rovers. wish I could go and fetch my Volvo xc90 v8 from chicago. I have a 17 foot fishing boat in chicago I need to hitch to the xc90 and tow it all the way to my home in Joshua tree california.
Has Lucy having a baby in the new year?? Just a guess!! I bought my new car last Saturday all it's done since is snow and rain and freeze I'm itching to get out there and clean my XJ. Great channel Lucy keep it up😊
Unless you live/work in a field or tow a yacht, I can't see the point of a Range Rover or any other lardy SUV for that matter. Too heavy, too slow, too thirsty, don't handle. Better off with a 5 or 7 Series, Jag XJ/XF or a Benz thing.
I enjoy your videos, you come across very well . I really don’t understand why you would put up with one of those vehicles though, every thing about it is just stress......stress off the scale 😢😢. By the way those black wheels are horrible, get them done in silver.

The 'offroad' track you used to show what a range rover can do 😅 could have taken a vauxhall corsa over there with no problem at all

Very true, I get asked all the time if my 2012 is brand new. Lol.

Lucy, absolutely great video, as always. I hope you keep doing these for a long time. Your videos are always informative and entertaining.
Ireland here - The tax is so cheap compared to here. to tax a 4.4 in Ireland is €2400. Insurance would be around €600 depending on age and experience
Yup and we complain about the top tax band £735+ so so much. Too
Lovely Lucy , you make me smile 😊
I bought one of those Mammation Mowers
Two years ago. Lasted about 18 months
Replaced main battery
Still refuses to work.

Mine is a YH60 ,I’m not far off the miles too with 156k 😅
I’ve done almost a 1000 miles a month so far since July when I got it, enjoying it too much!

Always love your vids. Quick question. Do you guys still do a regular job, I know Lucy used to work for BMW or are you full time bloggers now?

God bless your chemistry, it’s pretty awesome 😎
So, what does the Range Rover have over the equivalent competitor, such as the X5 or Cayenne?
Saw it in the way you were your seatbelt 😊.
