Signal needs more traction, his role as the “daytime Batman” fits the team well, and he’s actually one of the only meta human members of the bat family.
Signal is barely in anything and I say making him the bisexual Bat-Family member would have probably done more for him instead of Tim which did nothing at all.
The thing is that like Batman, his sidekicks have lost dept. Part of it is the trendy nature of stories, just looking for something random and new to force into the mythos. Yeah, like Tim and Dick were the emotional support Robins. :) Batman was a much draker/violent character before the introduction of the first Robin, and Dick decided that he wanted to counterbalance Batman's darkness with light. In Tim's case Batman was nearly suicidal, and very agressive because of Jason's death. Funny enough, Batman/Bruce was the best parent to Jason, and Damian.
So true. I just don't like when they try to shoehorn random people into the Batfam. They are not members of the BAtfam, they just worked with Batman on various occasions.
