Thank you so much! Got my dripping faucet fixed with two replacement springs and seats and about 40 minutes of work (including time driving to and from the plumbing supply store). Excellent video with easy to use directions!
You saved me, and a lot of countless others, much grief, pain, plumbing misery, heartache, and money! Thank you my friendly neighbor to the north, and great job!
Thank you for your video. One note I wanted to mention. I was unable to remove my bonnet nut with my channel locks. I found that a 32mm deep socket would fit the top the bonnet. Most sockets have a progressive slope at the entrance which makes it difficult to engage the shallow bonnet nut. Using a hacksaw I trimmed about a quarter inch off the opening of the 32mm socket. This allowed the entrance of the socket to be flat and fit the bonnet perfectly. I was able to remove the nut easily with my ratchet. Hope this helps someone else.
I've looked at a fair number of 'how to' videos. This is one of the better ones I've seen. Very clear and easy to follow. Helpful for someone like me who's never done this before. Thank you!
Thank you!! It worked. Ours had a grey cover without the seal but my husband got a pack with some extras and we just replace it to have it just like yours and it worked. Thanks again :)
Thanks for your video. I have two dripping faucets, exact same model in your video. However, I cant remove the cap, with adjustable wrench. It doesnt move at all.
When I do this, I coat the seals and ball with a bit of plumbers grease per the manufacturers instructions. This helps to make sure the repair lasts for a very long time.
This is an excellent video. I groaned when I saw 11:30 minutes, but it was great content from start to finish; no useless filler. The only issue I had was getting the nylon part (not sure what to call it) aligned with the slot guide. I needed to apply a lot of down pressure to get the outer housing threaded. When all was said and done, the handle is just a little 'off' meaning when I return the handle to the 'off' position, it's slightly to the right... When you showed the process of using a screwdriver to align the nylon part, what you were doing was obscured by your hand in the video. So I'm not sure what you did to get it 'right.' I tried moving it into the right position with a screwdriver while pushing the housing down, but didn't have much luck. I'm sure it'll bug me enough that I'll try to redo it at some point, but at the moment I'm very happy that the drip is fixed. Thanks again!
Thank you for your video. Is there a gasket in the nozzle itself that could go bad and cause a steady drip or light stream of water to flow out of? Also, can you buy the kits at local stores like Home Depot, etc.? Take care and have a great day. - Matthew
Thank you so much! I have replaced the seats and springs but still have a leak. I think the yellow rubberey thing that the seats sit in, is compromised somewhere because it leaks out just under that bottom silver housing(what you called a bonnet cap) . Is there a way to replace that piece (the yellow rubbery piece ) without replacing the whole faucet? Or is there something else that could be causing this. It only leaks out from underneath the bonnet when I turn it on.
My faucet is the same as yours but my leak is not coming out the faucet spout but is leaking at the underside of the faucet where the copper pipes bring water into the faucet. Will replacing the two springs and two washers as you do in your video also fix this kind of leak or does it mean I have a serious enough problem that I need to replace the entire faucet?
I bought all the suggested washers and springs as in the video and replaced the old ones in my faucett but it still leaks underneath the faucett where the copper pipes that supply the fresh water connect to the underside of the faucett. I think I need to replace the entire faucett because I dont believe those connections are accessable or repairable.
If your bathroom faucet is over 10 years old,is probably better to replace the old faucet with a new one,is not hard to install, you could do it yourself, at least with a new faucet you wouldn't have any problem for a long time
HOOVER VACUUM HELP PLEASE ? I OBVIOUSLY REWIRED WRONG, BECAUSE MOTOR NOT SUCKING ANYMORE. JUST BRUSH TURNING NOW. Thanks Knox! We try!
THANK YOU! I have had a leaking sink for a year. I'm so ashamed to say that but I am fixing it tonight!

Thank you! As a note, I went to Home Depot and I asked if these parts are under warranty and they were so I got them for free.
Thanks sir. The step-by-step instructions helped me a lot. Was able to fix my leaks.
Glad it helped

Excellent instructional video. Now, I'm off to Lowes to get a set of seats/springs! Thank you so much!! :)

I really enjoyed your video; it was very informative and easy to understand.
Mine has been dripping for a couple years now lol Just worked too much to have someone come out and now I may just try to fix it myself 👍🏽
Very helpful. Thank you very much for sharing. Thanks RUclips!!
Thank you! This video helped us resolve our leaky faucet.
I'm really glad it helped, nevertoolate,

Pretty good tutorial. He needs to add that the bonnet tightening will compress the springs
I think I stripped the hex screw in the lever... am I able to purchase another hex screw or should I purchase another handle?
How to tell the seat/spring is bad or good? After turn shutoff valve, if still drip, do you need to turn off main valve?
Good vid!😊
Don't you have to use plumbers grease on the rubber seals?
Thank you so much for your video I really enjoyed it,❤ please where do you buy the repair kits ?
I bought mine at Home Depot
My set screw won’t go in all the way after the repair. What could be wrong or what can I do?

The spout wasn’t leaking before the repair but it is now. Did you replace the entire faucet?

What is the faucet model shown in your video?
Did you forget to apply silicon grease to the ball?
I followed the video exactly and I still have a leak. What would be my next step?

Wow. Took the rubber pieces out, cleaned them. Put them back in. NO MORE DRIP!
First thing you should do his clothes that hole in the sink or put a shirt or a towel in there so you don’t lose stuff down the drain lol😅❤
