Love Steve’s Leaves! I’ve found they restock every Friday at various times so I stalk their website - they list 1 plant at a time so their restock loads over the course of an hour +. They sell out quickly so don’t hold stuff in your cart for too long. Their Cebu Blue and Monstera Siltepecana are so lush and grow so fast. I’m in love with that hanging basket you got!

Before I went away for three weeks last year, I bought some semi-clear plastic storage boxes from Target. I watered all of my plants and then placed them inside the boxes along with some cups of water. I closed the lids and then placed the boxes at a medium light location out of direct sunlight. All of the plants in the boxes did great when I came back. They actually grew more robustly inside those boxes due to the high humidity. Of course you cannot have too many plants to do this or you will have to choose which one to go into the boxes (Sophie's Choice), but knowing this prevent me this from ever going overboard with collecting plants. And I also don't own any big floor tropical houseplants.

You are right, best to see everything on offer and confirm purchase when Steve’s notifies you that plant is in. First in queue is important with many of these lovely plants. The philodendron siltepecana is on my wishlist. Please continue to highlight plant unboxing. Then I know where to safely buy plants. I learned about Ill Exotics and Potted Eleplant from you and could not have been happier with my online plant purchases from there. So, appreciative of all the information you share about individual plants, collections, care and obtaining the plants. 🤗👏🏻😘
I've ordered from Steve's Leaves a few times and I'm always impressed with how large and well-established the plants are. Whenever I repot them they always have super chunky, healthy roots. The ones you got were gorgeous!

OMG that Brandtianum! I ordered one from etsy recently and that plant from Steve’s Leaves totally eclipses the plant I ordered, which is exactly how you described-basically still needs established roots. It doesn’t help that so many sellers are also totally gouging prices and selling cuttings. Will definitely have to check out Steve’s Leaves.

I purchased my siltepicana X2 from steve's leaves and I'm in awe of this plant. I got 2 because I wanted a more full plant, and I just propagated her for the first time after 6 months! She's such a prolific grower and so easy to propagate. Highly recommended!

I'm glad you got one of Don Miller's begonias. I worked with/for Don for 10 years at different North Dallas nursery, and now he's with Steve's Leaves. He is the King/Czar/Emporor/God of begonias, past president of the American Begonia society and the Texas one. He has a clue about all other plants too.

Goshdarn, I want a Cebu blue so bad! Beautiful plant.
I had not been able to find a Cebu Blue locally. So, I ordered one from Steve's Leaves and it was gorgeous and healthy. It arrived in a 4" pot. Two weeks later, I found a slew of 8" baskets at Lowe's!! Needless to say, I bought one. Gave the 4" to my daughter.
Land of Alice sells them, I pd $29 for mine a couple months ago. It’s in great shape, great packaging too.

Well, I'm certainly glad that you've had good luck with Steve's leaves. Because I sure have not. The two orders that I've placed with them within six months took absolutely forever to get to me in upstate New York. Every time I try to contact there office, I couldn't get anybody to answer the phone. Or even return an email within a week. Maybe they know that these plants are going to be featured on your videos. I don't know. But I will say this. I'm going to seriously think about ever ordering from them again.

I managed to snag a Cebu blue during their restock and got it last Friday. You’re right about how well it’s packaged I was trying to hurry and unwrap it so I could hide it among my other plants before my husband came home lol 😂. I was also looking at it today and it is so full and after a week of being here has perked right up. Now that monstera siltepecana May be next on my list.

I LOVE the 2 plants I’ve received from Steve’s Leaves! 💚 I bought the Begonia ‘Harmony’s Drogon’ (might be off on spelling), it is STUNNING, the leaves are absolutely massive. I was really impressed for the price/size.

I love Steve's Leaves, they don't just have great plants but they are great people. I've been buying vanilla planifolia albo variegata plants to make a small, full pot for $50/each. The others I purchased cost $50 and would have 4-6 leaves. I purchased one from Steve's and it was a FULL 4-inch pot that is already draping over the edge. When I unboxed it I was shocked!

Nice haul Nick! I saw a few people post photos online of the recent BM Fantasy's that were shipped. HUGE leaves!! I'm regretting not getting one before the prices went up. I love that begonia! The spikes are so cool. HOLY Brandi! That thing is HUGE!

I got my first Cebu blue rooted cutting from Etsy then I got a big hanging Cebu blue from Home Depot. Now I have many Cebu blue plants from propagating my mother plant 😊 As you can see, I love my Cebu blue. My sister went to Home Depot and got a big pot of monstera siltepecana recently 😊 She said she will propagate some for me ❤️

Great vid Nick! SL is awesome, fair prices, expert secure packaging, very generous plants, almost too large for my space sometimes. Their own cultivars are wonderful too. Glad you plugged them. By the way, the great designer pronounced his name BUR-lee Marx and so his various cultivars go that way too.

I love your videos. I love Steve’s Leaves too. I got 2 Cebu blue and 2 monstera siltepecana about a month ago I love them! I keep looking at the philodendron brandtianum. I may have to get one tonight after seeing yours. I do plan to get more Cebu and Monstera as well because I want to grow some in a pot and train some one a pole or on some sort of frame. Another cool thing about Steve's Leaves is that they take the extra time to check your zone before shipping (without being asked), and will hold your plants until it's safe to ship. I live in Wisconsin, and our winters get downright brutal, so I very much appreciate that.
I am a fan of weird looking plants. I love your begonia it reminds me of one of those toads that the babies burst through the skin on their backs. wish I had a steve's leaves type of place in my corner of the planet.

Nick, I like every plant you ordered. I've looked at Steve's Leaves website. They have beautiful plants. I want to know how you acclimate these plants to your home. I have only one experience with ordering indoor plants. I mean to say, recently, because I never hesitated to buy plants when I lived in a larger apartment, years ago. My first, newest experience, has been a partial win. I believe the grower did not sell me plants with sufficient roots. This month I will be adding, a root stimulant to my plants. Slowly, I am building my stash. I rescued one of the newest plants, I purchased online. The other, a Monstera sp Peru, perished. I made an aggressive move by cutting the stem out of the pot and sticking it into water. I made sure I had several points from which the plant could grow roots. And, after two weeks in water, two days ago, roots started to appear. The plant feels like mine now. I, honestly, prayed for that plant. And, it seems, to respond to spiritual vibes. Archangel Michael. He is so good to me. Thanks for the video. Every plant you received seems to be thriving on arrival. Good Luck with your new plants.

I picked up a plant today at Home Depot and had no idea the name of the plant. They only had one. It was in a 10” pot for $13!!! I think it might be the monstera silt. Looks exactly like it. If so, it was a big score!!!

Gorgeous haul! That begonia freaks me out... I hope you can make it happy in it's little glass cloche. I understand the brandtianum whoes... I got 4 cuttings that almost all the leaves died on. It is finally starting to push out tons of leaves. Not one node system died on me. The leaves are small but I have hopes it'll get huge one day.
