Starting my ATP journey next week. They've shortened the course down from 9 to 7 months so hopefully its still doable. I'll try to report back here in 7 months time God willing I'm still here.
Sorry he hasn’t got back to you that’s annoying but I’m here to help tho, I believe now they changed it so if you start 0 hours you need an associates if you have your private pilots license then you need no college experience
@@jaxlouder354 what is your opinion about ATP in Richmond in virginia class c airspace 100 hours flight with ME? is it good? I wanna get loan if i approve
I do think it is wise to have a non-aviation bachelor's degree for flexibility sake. As far as training at ATP while in college goes, it'd be tough as a full time student. Allotting any less time to ATP than you would to a full time job is going to make success there hard. That being said, it would be doable to do one of the two full time and the other one part time: full time ATP student and take less than a full course load, or full time college student and flight training part time at a smaller flight school
do well in high school. ez scholarships. if it's too late for that, live with mommy and daddy during college to save money. work part time during school and work full time during summer. save every penny. only pay for gas for car to commute to work. go to cheapest college possible. airline only wants to see 4 year degree. they don't care where it's from as long as the institution you attended is accredited. if u have parents that are able to pay for your tuition, that's a huge plus.
My plan is to get my private over at OCC due to its affordability and revisit the atp program. I'm sure tuition will go up.
