👌👌👌👌 That was textbook recovery work. I realized that you could have used the Dolly if you had one but you guys did a fantastic job anyway. Everybody worked together and it went smooth. You guys have a great day!
0:57 Thats a real nice heavy duty blue KW dump truck passing by here, a 10 wheeler w\ 3 tag axles! 👍🏻👌🏻 This is gonna be another good one I'm sure.👍🏻👌🏻🛠️⚙️🔗🚚🚜🏗️⛓️🦺🚧 ✊🏻🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸✊🏻
Man there's really not too much holding the back axles on that end-dump trailer! It's really just a couple axles, a lil steel frame, then bolted right to thin aluminum, and nothing but the box supporting itself! Not a real strong set-up at all! Probably ok for light loads only....like foam or sawdust! 🤦🏻♂️😆 Stick with regular 10+ wheeler dumps and possibly a pup trailer if you really want to get larger loads! No way on one of these things though! 🚫🤦🏻♂️🤔🤷🏻♂️🦺🚧🚚 ✊🏻🇺🇸🦅
Thank you! It definitely is important to do a full walk around first, and check out all the damage and potential problems that may arise during the recovery.
Cheap solution is a standard converter dolly. Snap it to the king pin and cross chain it to the landing gear then you rear tow the casualty. Old dollys can be found for cheap at auctions.
Nice Job Men! You made that look Easy! We got two of those Dollies last year. One Large and One Smaller one. When you need it, it's great have, and bill accordingly. Used it several times already. Thanks for Sharing! TGP
Thank you! I would be open to getting both, but I would probably get the 44k dolly first given that it would provide a better overall solution for our operation.
Watched with pleasure and a lot of respect. The video was good. This was the first time that an issue like the one in the video was handled so well. Tools are an important part of success. Human influence is decisive, such as: do we do this this way or not? I look forward and waiting for your next video.
It's nice of you to ask, but here in the Netherlands all the bad weather has been passing us by for three weeks. So here things are better than the neighbors when it comes to the weather.

Can make up one from a used semi rear truck frame. A little time/welding/some steel. You don't have to tag or insurance it. Every time you use it-add a sweet fee to the bill.
For us, it's not so much about the the number of times a year we would use is vs. the cost. If we bought one, it would have its own space inside until we needed it, and we would have it for 20+ years. This particular instance, we were fortunate to have a spot so close to be able to dump the load, and then were able to haul it on the trailer because it wasn't too tall. If the scenario was different, we could have been left there scratching our heads.
Great 39 minute video with great content and an easy video to watch All your beautiful looking trucks are nice and shiny and clean do you take 1 day a week cleaning and inspecting your equipment or do you clean and inspect after every recovery .. Take care and enjoy your week
Thank you! We try to keep up on cleaning/ inspecting/ maintenance weekly as time allows between calls. Alyssa (who was in this video) is a big help keeping the inside of the trucks detailed as well.
Good video. But you need serious training on how to chain broken equipment or anything on to your trailer. Outside of that, total professionals. 👍👍👍👍👍🍻
Nicely done. Seems to me a dolly would let you do a job like this solo with out the rotator. It's not just the direct cost, but the indirect cost of being able to do more with less.
You would still need a heavy wrecker or rotator to lift the trailer up and set it in the dolly for transport, but correct in your analysis of doing more with less, and a bigger time saver overall.
Whats the setup that was hauling the landoll ? Couldnt get a good look. Is that set up for a quick swap? Looked long , and with the front boxes. Or was camera playing tricks. (Depth perception ). Thanks.
Why not reversing the combination on your Landoll? After all, the combination drive to that new customer... That way the complete trailer would've been on the Landoll, instead of 3/4. And if lifting: why not lifting the uncoupled trailer completely, using a spreader-bar? So you could lifted that trailer higher, drive the Landoll under it, strap it down and be on your way? Pepe does that usually...
We were transporting it less than 10 miles, and this was quicker given that the customer could pull it off with their tractor. If we were going longer distance, the trailer would have been faced forward like you suggested.
That is the way the NRC Industries wrecker/ rotator bodies are made because of their slider system. That design allows the boom assembly to slide all the way to the tailboard.
The guy with the hat in the neon vest was with the trucking company. The young lady works with us part time, helping to keep the trucks and the shop clean, as well as other odd jobs around the shop.
Amateur hour. Could have saved a lot by just removing the tires from the front axle, chain it up and drive the trailer to the repair place. It was already moved and unloaded all on it's own lol. Landoll was a waste of time and customers money. Gotta pay for all those people standing around and that pretty paint somehow though.
Good job getting things figured out to load and unload from the Landoll trailer. Thodes trailers are so useful to the towing companies.

Good video to drink my morning coffee too! Will be seeing you in October looking forward to seeing the 65 and tell Tad I said Hi! Take care!
Sounds great! We will all look forward to seeing you!
Thanks for sharing
Your videos are the only one that I can watch through
Most others I get bored and come back to finish them later
Glad you are still enjoying the videos! 👍🏻
That was very different and for some reason extremely interesting. Excellent job!
Great job. I like the way you look at a job and study it before hooking to it and just go to pulling on it like a lot of companies.
Thank you! It definitely is important to do a full walk around first, and check out all the damage and potential problems that may arise during the recovery.
GREAT video, Great job, tying down trailer!!! 😅
We may have added a few more chains and straps if we were going any further, but it was less than 10 miles

Good recovery . Great video . Super nice 5-axle .
Order you one of the tandem wheel dollies for big trucks. They are a god sent in these situations. We have 1 and just ordered a 2nd one.
That is on the wishlist for upcoming purchases!
Great securing job honestly though you forgot the bow❤❤❤
Good job. It's nice to see a woman working with you guys
That was an interesting video. Thank you.
Great job with what you have on hand
I agree those dolly's are expensive and a time saver but how much would you use them for the cost ???

Great job well done wondered how you were going to load on truck

Yes, 2020 Pete with 305" WB that normally has a quickswap mounted on it. It's our go-to tow truck for 90% of our every day heavy tows

Question for ya, I see your under reach is pinned in a cradle, Is there an advantage to that or is it just personal preference?

You're right, we're amateurs.....with both axles on the trailer damaged, there was no reason state patrol even needed to call us 😂
