I shoot Victory arrows that come spine aligned from the factory. Cock vane is aligned with the spine of every arrow, & I shoot it up on my QAD arrow rest. I believe this trumps the number of vanes loaded any old way on a rest.
if you cut those down to size, then the spine is no longer on the alignment mark. weakest part of the arrow rotates slowly around the shaft as you cut it shorter. spine aligned from factory is marketing, not false but not true the minute you shorten the shaft.
@@ambiguity22 The key is consistency. If they start spine aligned & I cut them all the same, they remain extremely consistent to each other. I'm not cutting some at 30" & others at 27". As long as the spines of each arrow are somewhat lined up the same, I see much more consistent arrow grouping (especially with broadheads). You are free to think whatever, but I am sticking with what works for me.
But half of the equation for spine alignment is getting the arrows to all crown vertically out of the bow. So you're halfway there if they're all consistent, but you have no idea right now, which way the arrow is bending as the column collapses and flexes, which means that your arrow rest could be guiding sideways motion before it drops all the way off the arrow.
@@ambiguity22 I have good arrow flight from my Victory arrows, & that is why I stick with them. I am not going to claim they are best or that I couldn't do more to make them better. I really like what I have, & I am sticking with it. My broadheads fly like my field points, & I have confidence in my set up.. Good luck to you this season!
great setups you guy could both add about an inch to your draw lengths. which would make you even more consistant.
it does not matter unless to have a mathews, the cable roller will contact. idk on hoyt's but you should be OK on them
