I don’t understand who dislikes this (and other videos from this channel), this is top notch content that could easily make a paid course..
I agree! Some people are just nasty. Maybe these people are advanced and hate that Justin is offering free lessons.
Honestly, there are so few, that it may legitimately be misclicks and they didn't notice.
Agree! Justin is tops!
I love how he refers to himself in 3 rd person when it comes to NitsuJ❤️
youre too innocent enough to understand
This video really help sus improve our guitar skill
I love the sound of these chord and practicing them. I find them challenging and to be able to play them makes me feel like I am progressing.
That's great! Keep it up. :)
ඞ
I use the SUS chords all the time to add nuance to a chord progression. Discovered the D SUS first, quite by accident. A little research and I was off to SUS land. Great lesson!
4:04 A sus sound good

Thanks so much for continuing to do these videos. I started learning guitar (in earnest) about 5 years ago with your videos and after learning a few songs I’m at the point where I wanted to work on basics, so this video is another good one for me.
Hey Justin I just came to say thank you so much for your videos- I’ve learning from them for about 2 months now and I feel liked I’ve improved so much basically just from your brilliant lessons.
Another nice video. I liked the explanation behind the chords. I've been playing for quite a few years and have played these sus chords but never thought them thru. Good job.
Thanks man. Doing sus a good job
I like your specific explanation!! Your a great teacher of guitar!
This explained it so simply and so well. Thanks Justin.
Luv it buddy
I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years not knowing what the heck I'm doing, I started following your lessons and everything is getting clear in my mind now. This lesson in particular felt like a huge step forward to understand chords

Fantastic. Trying to teach my Daughter. Really good easy stuff to teach children, who just want to get a decent sound out of the Guitar. 😀👍
Finally I found a very good explanation of sus2 and sus4 chords, thank you!
What a fabulous lesson!! Best on the net 👏🏻👏🏻
Justin is a great teacher. The new graphics on this video (at least new to me) are very worth while.
Truly inspiring Justin you have giving me inspiration 😂
For me I’ve been going back to basics and since I’ve grasped major and minor arpeggios and relevant scales modes etc sus chords seem like the sound I’ve not been getting….enjoying this and thank you!
@justinguitar Very good teacher. There are some gr8 musicians but cant explain like u do
This was an amazing lesson! I've never quite understood Sus Chords exactly. I've always used them, but explaining the reason for why they're sus chords is extremely helpful.
you literally gave life to my strumming with those exercises! It felt so dull before like it missed something
Thanks!
My pleasure! Thanks for the support :)
Just brilliant light comes on .....
Love your lessons! You are the best!
What a lovely dog!
Great lesson Justin, now you shedding lights on one of the most interesting techniques in embellishing these open chords. Thanks a lot Justin.
Exactly, these will spice up your open chords playing forever! Besides chord embellisments you should also check out strumming dynamics to give your playing more life: www.justinguitar.com/advanced_search?q=%20Strumming%20Dynamics | LievenDV | JustinGuitar Official Guide, Approved Teacher & Community Moderator

Thank you! I wondered what the sus meant!
Dreams by Cranberries is one of my favourites , thank justin I found it
Paint it black was there somewhere about 3.40, I'm a beginner and I have been doing all that without knowing what I was doing, nice to know it properly.
I wish I find in person. You are among the most amazing people in the world for good reasons. You have helped me a lot. Thank you.

Justin
You are amazing 🙏
If you can to do lessons of bb, cm, bm , bbm , gm
It would be great 🤠🎸🎸
I request u justin pls arrange the videos of this playlist in a series as earlier.
Other than that u are the best teacher for guitar in this world.
I discovered the sus chords myself by experimenting and loved the sound long before I knew they were called sus chords. By far my favorite. I especially love F sus 2 (although moved up to A# with a capo.) FCFGCF. Also turning the last F into a G. Becoming FCFGCG. Although not having touched my guitars in years, I no longer have the flexibility necessary in my fingers, considering I have to make a power chord with my thumb, middle and ring finger, then still needing my index finger and pinky to make the highest C and F.
This one not easy but I like it and I'm getting it. Thanks Justin.......Sal : )
💪🏿💪🏿🔥❤u amazing bro
Justin is like the Bob Ross of guitar
Luv Ya Buddy, U Da Man With An Axe In Your Hand!!!
Among sus
I enjoy your lessons...you have a nice dog too!
Please do a video for chucks and Taps!!
This is gold! Thank you for posting this. Can you do a lesson on the Sus of other chords? F# sus2, or Bsus4? Thank you for posting this. Very insightful!!
b sus 2 is just moving a capo to the 2nd fret and playing the same shape if u cannot do barre chords yet
Search the 3rd note in any chord and press the next fret instead of the 3rd.If that's complicated to hold Google the shape.
Witchy Woman by the Eagles.........any chance on a full song lesson?
I do believe i already invented this thankyou.
Hello Justin. Would you be kind to show a tutorial of Eagles - take it to the limit with leads ?
good lesson, Justin, but it turns out I like learning Sus chords more than I like having them in songs. Just like major vs. minor chords, Sus chords carry a very special emotional context for me, and the feeling they bring is "icky 90's indie rock that I hate." Maybe I'll learn to use and love Sus chords, maybe I'll go back to blues riffs and dinosaur rock.
Ziggggggyyyy!!!! ⚓️
I’ve been playing these chords for years and didn’t even know it 😂
3:48 paint it black?
im gonna say it
amogus
hi justin, Just wanted to ask you how many lessons will be in grade 2. thank you
That Ziggy is one obedient doggie dude!
Hey Justin! Hope you're well.
Why don't you make like a small post-it reminder thing and stick it near your camera somewhere saying something like "CHECK ME" or "AM I OFF?"
Take care :)
I cant pull off the string, sometime it keep stuck to finger tip. Greate content, tk you so much
Hi, could you do a lesson on your song 'colour of you'?
I thought I was doing OK with the learning path in the app , till I reached this lesson , apparently I've got pinky issues 😂 but I'll get there , great lesson as usual justin 👍
oh my god that's what sus chords are?? I thought it meant sustained with didn't seem to make sense. thank you!

Like the little bit of Powderfinger @ 2:27.
Question on the play along videos on the recommended Practice sessions on the website:
Sometimes there is a little green Capo symbol in the video play along, but there is no number indicating what fret to put the Capo on. How can I figure out what fret?
