I was in the same conundrum last year- there’s a lot happening in the non alcoholic cocktail world- even spirits made with the alcohol removed, or made to mimic the flavors of spirits without being overly sweet. I’m working on a non alcoholic triple sec for cinco de Mayo
Thanks so much for giving us these non-alcoholic options! When I’m making cocktails for my friends, I like to keep my head clear but still sip on something fun.

Just made all three and the salted rosemary Paloma is AMAZING. It’s clean, refreshing and maintains interest for the duration. I’ll be coming back to this one over and over again. The Change of Address is damn good too and roughly speaking belongs in the category of bloody Marys. Thanks for these Leandro! This is so much fun :)

fun fact, here in Indonesia we use a mic of dark soy sauce (sweeten soy sauce, so practically the same with soy sauce + maple syrup) and lime as cough medicine. interesting to see similar thing being used in mocktails
Thank you for this video dude. I always wanted to make a drink but without alcohol. I'll try some of this but hopefully I can find those ingredients because in my country it's a little bit difficult to find some of those ingredients. Hope you can make another video like this in the future.
Thanks for sharing this non alcohol cocktails. I have some girlfriends who want to try cocktails but don’t like alcohol. Next time I can make these cocktails for them when they come to our party. Much appreciate!
Love the non-alcoholic video. Tried them all...my favorite is "Don't Touch My Car Keys". (Needs a different name though. Maybe "Virgin Keys"?). Had high hopes for the Salted Rosemary Paloma. Was too salty for my taste, and couldn't really get the rosemary unless there was a rosemary sprig garnish on the glass. I think I'll experiment with a less salty (perhaps unsalted) version of the rosemary syrup in this and other drinks. The rosemary in the syrup is very nice.
What I often miss from a lot of NA drinks is some complexity of flavor and punch when drinking it, like there are lots of really good NA drinks for people who like tiki drinks and the like but not for the more very classic style like old fashioned and negroni style drinks, that's what I really want to see
Thank you! A few years ago there was Near Beer and soda pop. Now I'm getting ads from half a good dozen no-alcohol-spirits manufacturers and bitters soda vendors. It's so nice to have good, interesting things to drink that don't have alcohol. And yes, with _iftars_ with friends and with Eid coming up it's nice to have something to celebrate with that Muslim and other people who don't drink alcohol can appreciate. Come to think of it, reviewing a bunch of the no-alcohol-booze-substitutes and the bitters soda/no-alcohol apertif products would make a great show.
Interesting mocktail, the first one. I will try making it. I put a couple of dashes of Angostura Bitter in a glass of water and that made me feel a bit intoxicated. A little doesn't count, even for high-ABV. I guess that to many the point is not getting drunk so that they can drive in an hour or two.
Great video! I agree that it's important to have NA options for people who don't drink alcohol. I think that some people might not be comfortable with the Angostura bitters float on top, but I'm thinking that can be left of if need be.
If you leave that off it’s just a coconut soda. Drink totally relies on the bitters to make it actually interesting, and the volume on there is definitely enough that it shouldn’t be considered nonalcoholic anymore.
My personal favorite non-alcoholic drink is just a coke with 4-5 dashes of angostura bitters and a cinnamon stick. And maybe an orange peel if i've got one. I know bitters have a lot of alcohol but legally they're non-alcoholic, so i think it still counts
I made the Change of Address for a non-drinking guest at my Tiki party. He REALLY liked it, having multiple glasses. (I dislike cola, so I didn't taste it.) It sounds SO weird, but I had a very satisfied guest.
The salted rosemary paloma tastes amazing. The Dont Touch My Car Keys tastes super unbalanced to me and the gf. The lime makes the whole thing super sour so we had to up the cream of coconut to make it even remotely balanced.
some ppl add salt to Coke.. and Asians when they cannot find salt.. they sometimes use a bit of soya sauce.. since its also salty and the color wont matter since its masked by the color of Coke also.
Didn’t have coconut cream for Don’t Take My Car Keys, so I used orgeat (1 oz and 1 oz lime but I’ll probably try the 1.5 to 3/4 as you said for the next one), and I think it worked really well in this. Can’t wait to try w coconut!
So a “sprig” of rosemary will likely mean different amounts to different people. I like rosemary so my sprig might have been to big because I found it made a very strong, almost bitter simple syrup. This, unfortunately effected the taste of the Paloma as it was too herbal. I also made the Change of Address, and unexpectedly loved it! Be warned, it does taste like a watered down teriyaki marinade.
Super hyped on this video! I dont see the recipe for the salted rosemary syrup though. Also curious about the coconut syrup and if its different from coconut cream, is it coconut infused simple syrup? I remember hearing about the first drink on the bartender at large podcast and I've wanted to try it ever since but have never gotten around to it, going to have to change that.
@@TheWeePearl ok so just equal parts coconut milk and sugar? I'm used to following the smuggler's cove recipe for coconut cream (1 can coconut milk + equal measure rich simple + .25tsp salt) and I'm wondering if there would be a noticeable difference.
@@tristanbowser6533 After looking at the specs- I think you’re right with that recipe. There isn’t another sweetener in there, so that sounds like the best way to go. The salt would help to balance it out too. I’ve never added salt to my coconut syrup, but I think I will moving forward.
These were probably the most creative cocktails I've ever seen without alcohol! I need some advice though, my wife doesn't like coconut or cinnamon, any good substitutes for the first -don't take my car keys- and last -change of address- drink? I was thinking maybe orgeat (still tiki) and maybe nutmeg or the lemon peel in the drink respectively.
