I already bought over a month ago, or would have used your link. Really like your content.
Make more videos of just using the device with tips and tricks, workflows, etc.
Thanks to your great review I just got mine a week ago. Onyx boox is totally new for me so im just getting myself around with it. How do you change the color resolution? The screen color is way more brighter from your videos compared to mine. Is there a particular number setting for that? Thank you so much for the reply. Have a great day
Many thanks for this review and your content. I was not able to use your affiliate link as I live in Chile, so I had to buy it at a local store due to the high shipping costs from Amazon.
Really appreciate your content, I received my Note Air 3C today and your videos were 100% useful in the decision making process. I really hope your content can reach many more people.
All the best in your endeavours. Always supporting your channel from south america. Have a great 2024!!!
I just ordered a NA3C thanks to your excellent content on this platform. I am new to E-Ink, but I am hoping to use the NA3C for work such as project management, note taking during meetings, productivity, reading books and datasheets and writing. I realised that it is time to go paperless. I am eager to find out how this will work in combination with the M365 suite. Thank you for your content, it really helped me get a clear perspective of the available tech and how it might work for me.
Kit, I just pulled the trigger on the Note Air 3C through your Amazon affiliate link. Amazon must be waiting on the next boox shipment. Saturday when I was thinking about purchasing it, I could get it in 2 days. Now it's about a week out. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for doing this Kit. I couldn't stand it anymore so my cover has a nice square hole in the spine so I can charge it in the case. But this thing has changed my life.
Thank you so much for such a comprehensive review. I can't wait to receive my Note Air 3 C. I'm more confident with my decision to get this one than the reMarkable2.
Oh my gosh, thank you, I have a new 3C and thought I’d never figure out that particular cover config! Also I took your advice and watched on my tv with a drink 🍻
Thank you for all your in dept videos on your channel.
My pleasure, I love to hear feedback of what people buy and how they find things. Please do check back in!
Excellent review, only just catching up with your videos. Did you ever try the likes of JotterPad on this? I am curious if it behaves well.
Make a video of how optimize box on apps... For example on OneNote with the default settings you can't see the page lines or parte color, but if you open the eink center and put 90 on the first bar and 60 on the second bar the app alters completely and OneNote is much more usable.
❤ all the videos! I’m looking to take nonlinear notes. What app can I use for an “infinite” canvas? I think I remember in one of your videos you seemed against OneNote? Has it improved?
Thank you so much for this. Do you recommend a screen protector and if so, do you have one you could recommend?
Hey ! I didn't understand if it's possible to access the tags to create a sort of table of contents ? :) Thank your for all the advice!
When you use OneNote, how much does it reduce functionality on Android app vs PC desktop app?? As a student and academic, this is critical for me to want to switch
Is it possible to somehow sync notes on this divice with the notes on Kindle? The Android Kindle app (ony my Android phone) will only allows for viewing notes and not adding any. Since you use multiple divices yourself, how do you sync the notes between them? Thank you!
Need a review with OneNote, including syncing with content from a desktop.
Great been looking forward to this
Enjoy! Thanks so much. More to come in this style!
I used your link to Amazon, thanks for your amazing reviews! How does notion and one note work on it?
I'm considering the Note Air 3 C for conducting and organizing PhD research. Can you make notes on pdf documents, and link those notes to other notebooks? This could be super valuable when trying to keep track of citations and research. Thanks for your vid. Amazing.
I love this device even though it freezes way to often for my taste, but hey I guess they'll get it to a point where it will be stable with future firmware releases
How do you get the sd card to insert?? I popped the holder out but can not get it to go back in with a micro sd card
Hi Kit, I've been watching many of your videos to decide between Boox and Bigme. The devices I'd love to see a side by side comparison of the Bigme Inknote color+ and the Boox Note Air 3c. (I am actually looking for the b&w versions of both - inknote S and note air 3) ut from what ive found, the colour versions are almost exactly the save, minus the colour.
What are your thoughts? I haven't found a video yet that compares the inknote and note air 3
Hey kit. Thanks for your dedication on e-ink tablets. I was looking for an device that i could take notes and have it all connected to my google services. And I need colors since i like to take journals from my trading day and sometimes its crucial to have something highlighted in color so for a quick decision making on my future trade entries.
Now I ve never tried e-notetaking in any form so I could argue that a cheap lenevo p11 with a good pen and a paper-like screenprotector would be enough. But the thing with tablets are that after max5 years of use youll run into problems. Is it the case with NA3C too ? Since its actually an android tablet but instead of lcd or oled its e-ink. Its about the battery cycle now that I am worried about. I was just about to press buy yesterday 😂
im still indecisive if I should get Kindle Scribe or Air 3 C.
Does the screen rotate ?- ie if you're left handed can you hold the thicker bezel in your right hand and write/draw with your left?
It would be great if you would also compare with an older Nova Air C (what's different apart from the size)
Nice. I was looking forward to this video.
Great, I hope it didn't disappoint. Did you watch on your big TV?
Not yet. I'm about to make myself a bowl of cereal and watch it again.
Please make more Zen like video of you just using the thing, talking, and showing us tips and tricks. @@KitBetts-Masters
I know NA3C is close to NA2+ but as a Boox fan I have to ask - is there a chance for Boox Note Air 2 Plus Complete Guide? :)
Thanks for great review! At the moment i have Pocketbook inkpad 3pro. Want to try the best reader in 10inch size for reading not just books, but also magazines and newspapers. Also has to be on android so i can download newspapers applications. Is it this model Boox note air 3 C is today the best model on the market? What is better for my purposes (reading only) color or BW, Boox note air 3C or Boox note air 3? Thanks in advance
Hi and congrats! I really need your help🙏 I am between the air 3 and the air 3c. I want to read scanned PDF and the pinch zoom is very Important for me. I saw a Video for air x ( with bsr) and pinch zoom was super, like on my ipad. How dies it perform without bsr??? (Air 3). Please help me on my purchase!!!🙏❤🙏
thanks and my new air 3 on the way! Look forward to your use case and tips!
Wish you joy of it, stop by and let me know what you think!
Can you link between your ebooks? E.g., if you're reading one and want to link a paragraph to a point in another e-book?
I have a question and I hope someone whould answere me. How good is onyx super refresh tech, in compre to A2 mode that most android e ink devices have? Is it really game changing? I have a evere eye strain and I wanna switch to a e ink screen (Palma or Tab c ) to reduce it but the A2 mode that I have on my meebook is pretty slow as a daily device. Tnx
Is it possible to use Office 365?
I can’t wait to see your take on the Note Air 3. I’m hoping the battery is better. Though I still want 300dpi.
Just get the NA2+ used. Or wait for a real 300dpi version.
Also the battery life isn't so bad. Depending on what youre using it for.
For reading I can go over a week between charges.
Thank you for your excellent product reviews!
I've had my Air 3C since Saturday and love its feel and look (currently using a Max Lumi 2).
Batterylife is not sooo great, but i think i can live with this as i don't plan to use it for weeks in the wild with no access to a poweroutlet ;-)
Quick question please: I noticed 2 dead pixels in the middle left part and 1 in the top corner of the screen.
Should I return it for a replacement, or is it better to keep it since they’re only visible in extreme situations (like a black screen with backlight) and not during normal use?
Thanks so much! I think you'll probably be told that a few dead pixels are within manufacturing tolerances! I've had a few in my time with eink and viewers notice them before I do!
Has anyone tried the Notion app on this device?
Hi Kit, thanks for the detailed review - my Note Air 3 C is on the way and was wondering what your thoughts are on screen protectors. I'm used to them on my Apple devices, but I don't know if I should put one on the NAC3 - can't find any guidance online anywhere. Thanks.
Hiya, you don't need to. It comes with a paper feeling screen protector pre installed. Cheers! Let me know how you find it!
Thank you for your review - the most useful one I've seen. I've got my device on its way - in excited to get going with it. My main use cases are 1) academic paper PDF reading and highlighting, 2) textbook reading and highlighting, and 3) journaling with handwriting rather than typing. I'm currently using Zotero, Calibre Sync and Moon Reader+, and Journey for those 3 use cases. Any thoughts about how to modify these to make the most of this gadget?
Does Boox offer similar functionality to the Supernote where you can 'star' actions from notes in to one to-do list? My use case is literally just replacing my paper notebook and wanting to track actions have a dynamic to-do list + ideally search notes
Not as such no. There are loads of ways to tag things and make lists, but nothing as simple and elegant as the supernote star marks.
Please, perform a review of the tcl nxtpaper 11 tablet
I'd love to. I wrote them once to ask, but that was well befor eit launched as it is now! perhaps I should try again.
Hi, thank you for your excellent reviews. I have a question for this device. I have Onyx Boox M96 (first boox reader with android) and searching for replacement. Mostly for reading but i want to be able to write also. My question is: if i open PDF document and will read till lets say page 40, after that open another PDF and read several pages. After some time if i open first document again, it scrolls me down to my last red page? Because M96 have problem with this also with some ebook formats, so i have to many times manualny scroll down pages to start reading where i stoped (many times i forgot where i stoped, so ending up reading same pages twice). Thank you.
I have note air 2 plus and the problem you mentioned has never occured
@@ikbal604 Thank you👍
I'm truly undecided between purchasing an iPad Mini or an E-ink tablet, primarily for reading and note-taking on textbooks, articles, and PDF documents. Is there a way to synchronize my documents on my iPhone with an Onyx Boox tablet? As a teacher, what do you suggest? Thank you so much for all your advice so far.
I put my PDF files (the ones that I want to read on Note Air) on a specific folder on Google Drive and use an app named Autosync for Google Drive (paid subscription but quite cheap). This app syncs one folder on my Google Drive to one folder in my Note Air. This way I'm able to annotate same file on different devices (Note Air, iPad, PC). This is not as smooth as for instance using PDF Expert on iPad which reads PDF files driectly from the Google Drive but does the job with some additional manual input. Personally, if a PDF needs heavy annotaion and constant switching between devices, I prefer iPad.
Thank you so much @@nima6917
31:42: Kit, I noticed that when you said you were using your PDF planner, you went to the library. So apparently you are annotating the PDF instead of using the PDF as a template for a note? I would appreciate a workflow discussion video, about how/why you operate the way you do. I bought a very comprehensive PDF planner and I made it the template for a Note. Works extremely well and the best thing for me is that I'm still in the Notes app which I find superior to using the Reader and annotating on the PDF. Thanks.
Yes, please more workflow videos.
Now I got it. Using the Neo Reader with a PDF and annotating it in the reader allows the hyperlinks in the PDF file to work. Using the same PDF as a note template does not.
thanks for your video! very useful!
One quick question please: do you think it's better to buy this device from amazon o from the shop of boox? And the 30 days to test it and return it are the same in both shops?
Hiya, I think it's probably more complicated to return to Boox, but buying from Boox you get the case chucked in, which I think is probably worth while for you!
Good to know :-)
I have both the kindle scribe with the premium pen and the note air 3c with the standard and premium pen, and i am torn between the two, i dont know which one to keep... ?? Any sugestions?
How is reading and note taking on each of them?
I'm literally asking this SAME QUESTION. I just opened the Scribe with the good pen. Love the writing, but don't love that I cant download my favorite book apps, but rather have to to Kindle or Amazon apps. But I only need something for writing to and reading, don't need drawing. I'd like to be able to access my favorite book app(Everand by Samsung).
Suggestions?
I notice you hold your pen super awkward to avoid your palm hitting the screen. Does this not have palm rejection?
It does. Probably just how he learned to write.
does it work with Excel? I spend a lot of time there
Yeah, I does, great for that!
It's my impression or the market for A6 size is lacking devices... i seems a Tab mini should enter right in, given what boox is doing, a BC and a C version, in only makes sense now
This size is not too bad. It's right in between reading size and full A4
Sheet of paper size.
@@cooluser23 I agree with you, I have the Note Air 3C but the A6 market also has people interested. I have a friend that wants one A6 size and basically only supernote exists or a old nova air.
Hi, can you suggest me best launcher for Note air 3c?
Hello, I stick with the standard Boox one, as it's focused for note taking. But the Niagara launcher is popular for its simplicity.
@@KitBetts-Masters thanks for a quick reply, I bought the boox because of your review video,
My 4 month old Boox Note has frozen and I can’t find any English support. I keep getting taken to a Chinese website 😭😭
Did you figure out the glitch?
Yes. The battery died but the screen remained on. I charged it and then held the on/off button for at least 20 seconds. All good now.
At the end of 2023 ( 29th of December ) the boox website specifications list the CPU: 2.4Ghz Octa-core + BSR as the chip in the Boox Note Air 3 C. It looks like you got lucky and received one with a faster CPU. New customers may not be so lucky.
Yeah, there has been a lot discussed about this discrepancy, there are basically two CPUs in the same family of SoCs that Boox are using. And customers have seemingly received the different variants at random. Voja (My Deep Guide) has an amazing video about this. The good news is that there is very little real world difference, as you are very rarely going to reach those clock speeds on the device.
Crazy editing, not pleasant to follow, but great review...
Happy Holidays 🎄
I'm still undecided between this one and the TUC Pro, I'll probably wait for the new devices next year.
U should checkout hidden folks on this it's like they were made for each other

Here: ruclips.net/video/QA0q30joZmU/видео.htmlsi=EtePdwTup5W0CEYU
These Boox e-ink tabs are good but unable to justify the price vs features. why it can't be just note taking, reading books, making annotations into any document, have the ability to write on Microsoft OneNote and similar apps, simple camera to take pictures and annotate, That's it...I want to create a device with these features :-)
Interesting point, but I would say that Boox and Bigme are the only places you can currently do all that. I guess by opening up to Google play they can do too much, but that makes them capable of catering for everyone's specific use cases.
I agree with you! Maybe they’re also adding the innovation cost of this technology. I like it too but it’s still too expensive for a tablet. But we still can use pen and paper.
scribe rules the world
How so?
@@stacey2534 amazon makes the best ereaders
This inktab defeates the purpose. Its to distracting with all the posibilites
I just bought the Note Air 3 C and it's amazing.
Would you suggest applying a screen protector?
No, you don't need it. It has one on it as standard out of the factory, so you'd only need to replace that if it ever became worn.
