I love where you can tell Acht hops in and starts putting their touches in the song. Splatoon’s final bosses are so satisfying and fun, and Side Order was no exception.
And in the cutscene, you can see they’re like “Finally, my mix table…” and they feel so in their element. 🥰
This is what Spectrum Obligato ~ Ebb & Flow (Out of Order) would've sounded like if it were to be performed in a live concert.
Imagine how epic it would be. The concert starts glitching out, the lights flicker. Suddenly, a blackout, everyone thinks is a malfunction, and then, you hear that beat, and everyone starts clapping alongside it

A VERY worthy successor to Fly Octo Fly
To me this is a step up. Fly octo ebb and flow always felt like two seperate (very good) songs to me. This version is very seamless transitioning from spectrum to ebb and it all feels like one piece with the motif of spectrum being carried over all the way through whereas the motif of fly Octo kinda gets dropped
@@joelsytairo6338 I get that. Fly Octo Fly gets bias points for me personally, since it helped get me into Splatoon music.

To me nothing can beat Fly Octo Fly. This is very good in a different way but to me Fly Octo Fly is still number 1
I still love me some Fly Octo Fly. The first times I've ever played Splatoon 2 are on my buddy's Switch, and they're both final bosses - Octavio and NILS
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR ACTUALLY BEING ON-BEAT WITH THE KICK SOUND. Ive seen at least 4 videos where players just spam the shit out of it until finally being forced on-beat as the music gets louder. Very jarring

@@Justice449 I didn't realize other players didn't instantly pick up on the fact it was supposed to be 8's heartbeat- thus it was supposed to be a steady rhythm that goes "Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!" Instead of "THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP!" Ig that's just my obsession over music mixing with my knowledge of the lore of the series- that music is pretty much the most powerful force in existence(I think? Do not quote me that's just what I picked up) and I vibe seriously hard with that ngl 😂

People most likely uploaded the standalone jukebox version that needed not to be "assembled" but lacks these parts. The story version of the song had to be stitched from several parts, including the last one

Ive been wondering this for a couple days, but is that Acht filling in for where pearls vocals would be since she’s in drone form and mid battle? The voice is way too nasally and pitchy to be pearls, and its lyrical flow is completely different than pearls as well. I don’t see how it can be Marinas either, as her voice is sweeter, more refined, and has bassier tones
