Side Order made me appreciate Marina and Pearl’s relationship so much more. Marina lived a life where she lived at the will of others, living orderly from day to day doing what others told her too, but Pearl was that loud presence and chaos in her life that made her realize it’s okay for things to change and for her to explore what she wants.
It's a really nice dynamic between the two, especially considering how lonely Marina must have felt after leaving the Octarian World, like, her whole life was with them. SPOILERS: When you reconfigure Eight's palette, Acht's messages to Marina are discovered, emphasizing how much Marina's departure caused a stir mainly because Marina was the brains behind many of the Octarian Arsenal. Her leaving was a very, very, big deal.
@@cowfin06in a way that’s true: Pearl was born with abnormally powerful vocal chords, so before she met Marina she was destroying sound equipment and getting kicked out of bands (SashiMori - not officially but hinted strongly). Marina’s technology allowed Pearl to be recorded for the first time without destroying anything. You could interpret that as Marina bringing order into Pearl’s life, or at least into her career.

I love the realistic detail on acht and marina's mixing. everything from taking the headphones off one ear so you can here the the song playing against the song you're trying to introduce, scratching the record to match up the beats, changing the base and mid before adding the song and then dropping it in right when the buildup starts, bouncing up and down to keep track of the beat. it's a one to one creation of what an oldschool DJ does and it's incredible to watch. and i just noticed that marina is using a modern digital music controller while acht is the one using an old controller in tandem with a vinyl record player which is so cool because it fits perfectly in line with marina being the more tech savvy one whereas acht seems to prefer the more traditional gear which is also significantly harder to use because you don't have a visual display of the beats to help you and have to do it using just your ears.

When you think about it…Side Order summarizes Splat 2’s entire story. 1/2 of Idol Pair goes ‘missing’. Ends up being controlled in some way by a villain. You fight them. And rogue A.I. tries to ‘remake’ the world in its image. You also battle it with Off the Hook performing.
I love the fact that the damage numbers were 8888 in the final section instead of 9999 like how most rpgs handle max damage just cuz he's an octopus lmao!
They’re the ones who saved the world, tbh, so I’m glad they got redemption they deserved!!! Acht sings in the credits, making this whole thing even better!
To me, this entire final sequence felt like what I imagine a drug trip is like. In a good way though. Seeing Acht’s eye for a split second with emotion when they typically just have the same deadpan expression was really cool. As well as the part where you got to press ZR with the beat :)

In one of the elevator conversations she gets overly protective when Acht is giving Pearl compliments and is like "How can you flirt with Pearl in fro-", actually main currency is prlz (as in pearlz), in one of the dev diaries Marina decides that the tower is a thing because "It's like Pearl reaching to save a princess", (further on that Pearl being a drone that helps the player is a major part of her original design), Pearl has SO many pictures of pearl, one being even her laptop background. Yeah sure, I can grant that Pearl doesn't realize it. Yet, but all the evidence shows that Marina wants to be more than roommates. And then there is the Japanese version of all the dialogue from splatoon 2, which just removes all the subtext really.

That was basically the final phase and it was less stressful than i thought it was actually a breeze and felt like you were using hacks lol (i guess you were)
Pearl should be in Smash 6. She can use Dualies, transform into a drone that uses weapons Inkling doesn't use and her Final Smash could be yelling Booyah into the Princess Cannon.
For anyone wondering the dualies are the best weapon to use for beating the spire especially if you can find a replacement for reefslider from the vending machine. Many of the perks pair very well with the dualies and they’re easy to use.
i found the splattershot with homing and dmg and poison ink with sticky ink with the killer wail special was great - the bomb could be sprinkler for zone maps or splat bombs for portals - i used sprinkler for mine
The final boss really brought me back to the height of my Splatoon phase 5 years ago, when Octo Expansion lore was all I fixated on and I loved Splatoon 2 with all my heart. This was really really fun!!!
i keep coming to watch this cus it's just so damn powerful, the excitement i felt during the whole segment at 8:50 is something no other game's given me man. still makes me teary eyed, i just love how strong the whole scene is. i'm so sad u can only replay the second phase of the fight in game. it's still such a sick comeback fight to end off on, i love it, but the sheer excitement i get from the whole transition is unbeatable god i love this game
Am I the only person who feels a little bad for Order? It really seems like he genuinely thought what he was doing was right and that we were the bad guys. He must've felt betrayed when Marina, his creator, went against him, since he thought she would understand. This caused him to lash out. I think he's supposed to be a personification of Marina's fear of change, which is why he acts the way he does. I doubt Marina meant for him to gain sentience, but when he did, he just tried to follow what his code was telling him: make everything orderly. Which is also why he relies to heavily on tech-based language. Did he take it too far? Definitely. But what else was he supposed to do? I think his Smollusk form is supposed to reflect how he feels on the inside. The memverse and him were only created awhile ago, making him basically a newborn. And since Marina didn't know what was happening, he was also left without a parental figure. In reality he seems more like a confused child thats scared of change and wants to create a safe world, than a malicious villian who wants to hurt people.
Special Charge Up is a good safety net too. I used Big Man's Palette and had so much fun spamming Triple Inkstrikes with Pearl backing me up with Killer Wails frequently
What definitely helped me beat Side Order was that I used the Dualies, Four lives, reduced damage taken, equipped as much fire-rate Speed chips I could find, increased ink-drop chips, increased disk drop chips, drone splat bombs, nearby explosions from defeating enemies, and of course: *REEFSLIDER* .
But don't forgot about the King Salmonids thought since there were like 3 of them as for the current update, means there's gonna be more content updates about Salmon Run...
Maybe I'm just an oldie, but for me, nothing can top the original bout with DJ Octavio, the Squid Sisters, dancing Cuttlefish and Calamari Inkantation. The fact that that song & battle brought us Agent 8, Marina & playable Octolings especially gives it extra weight these days
@bepis_real I agree on this I loved all the splatoon bosses but the original octavio was the best for one thing I really loved the map design if it comes to hype, i think tartar did his job
Personally, I think no other villain can top good ol’ Mr. Grizz, HOWEVER! I did have a lot of fun defeating Order. 😁 Their attacks kept me on my toes the entire time!
mmm, the nils statue has to be my favorite. the absolute HYPE fighting it, the feeling of toppling something much bigger than you are, the PRINCESS CANON COUNTER, it's just great.
In chaos vs order it showed us a world where chaos was dominant but in side order it shows us what would happen if order was dominant you need Colour and life and that's what chaos kind of gives what order order gives a place where there's no colour there's no happiness there's only blank but if you have both them you can see all the colour and you have a perfect world you both need order and Chaos shows in the final battle version of the final boss come out of its smallest and he's a big chaotic and reckless he's a glitch glitch
I never thought I’d slay Splatoon Nyarlathotep with an Octobrush when I was just seeing how it would go, but here I am! Also the music slays as usual, i literally bobbed my head to the music while I was terrified of losing the run at this point. Never gonna forget this one! Bravo Splatoon
mfers really be whining about “spoiler!!!!!!” when they see something that isn’t alluded to in the first 2 seconds of gameplay. You literally hear marinas voice like 10 seconds after entering the elevator.
This really felt like a mixture between the just shapes and beats finale and the undertale finale. Side order was extremely outstanding and by far my favorite Splatoon related thing

Thank you for uploading this. I finally made it to the final boss, but had to look up how to beat it before I actually faced off against it. It took me a couple attempts (and ended up with a Game Over), but I finally did it after ascending the Spire again. Now I can travel to Inkopolis Square anytime I want!
I love the premise of this game mode. It's like Hades, you beat the boss once and constantly just doing the same thing over and over again while the lore unfolds
Grizzco has illegally modified weapons for splatting salmonids while Pearl has illegal specials for splatting evil telephone, giant statues, and Fecto Forgo Octopi.
Am I the only one who felt like Side Order was a little short? I mean, I beat it on my second run up the elevator and saw the credits and thought, "That's it?" It was a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but I beat it in a couple of hours😭

Some tips for Overlorder: -Mobility is really important, especially in the later stages of the fight when it starts using lasers and reefsliders. The ink rails and treadmills around the arena are good for getting in the air and just gliding away from the attacks with Pearl drone. Otherwise curling bombs can also be useful, at least for reaching one of the former things. -Some specials are definitely better than others. The ones I liked most were killer wail, triple ink strike, and ultra stamp. At first I thought ultra stamp wouldn't be good, but then I found out if you go right up to Overlorder then attack one of its tentacles, it has to keep turning to attack you and so laser eyes will just keep missing you, you're still mobile enough to recover if it uses its tentacle attack, and while that's going on you're doing like a thousand damage to it each hit. Crab tank wasn't very fun for me though since it's not the fastest and its tentacle attack kept launching me off the map to the point where I lost a run with all three lives left plus a continue trying to beat it with that special. -Crowd control is also really important. If you can get a lot of lucky bomb chips, special charge ups, or drone specials with drone gauge charge, do it. Especially lucky bomb, that goes crazy if you have a lot of chips.
Who will win: A large octopus made of coding with the main goal of stripping everyone’s personality and control to achieve perfect order. Or a little octoling with a funky vibe

Not gonna lie, the end of each Splatoon single player mode since Octo Expansion has became the end of each Kirby adventure since Return to Dreamland. I mean, we know that now in the end of each journey in Splatoon since 2018, there’s a world-destroying mastermind in connection of the past of the Splatoon universe. And in Kirby games, each adventure starts with a peaceful grassland stage to the final battle with an ancient god like the Comet Monster who Credenza has called upon and tried to fall under her control in the Danger Force Series Finale. But not about that. It’s… *sigh* Look, all I’m trying to say is that the end of each Splatoon and Kirby adventure have pretty much a couples of things in common.
My favorite part of the cutscenes for those was Acht joining Marina, as they DJ'd alongside her. I also like how they move the right of their headphones off their ear before they start DJ'ing.
I complete it too, it was awesome! Hear my future telling the last splatfest will be the idol group fest, Big man go for Squid Sisters because the collab with them, Frye go For Off the Hook cause befriended with Pearl, and Shiver goes for Deep Cut cause being the splatfest winning-chosen leader cant go for other in her own era. And the winner by 0,01% Shiver so this way all 3 member of deep cut win.

The one way to beat final bosses is to play music no one can resist them sick beats and I love it you think you can win via being a giant evil being who can destroy the world with something evil well guess what we got sick beats here in splatoon and we're going to play them go play ebb and flow calamari inkantation and other songs especially the remixes

Stringer was surpisingly good, piercing shots helped for sure and base stringer is pretty strong by is self as well

I have discovered that drone chips and enemy drops are the best thing for you to get. Increasing the rate of fire on your main weapon is good too.
Special Charge Up is a good safety net too. I used Big Man's Palette and had so much fun spamming Triple Inkstrikes with Pearl backing me up with Killer Wails frequently
Pearl with max Ink Mine and Inkstrike chips was the real protagonist of my first run, I was her sidekick.
What definitely helped me beat Side Order was that I used the Dualies, Four lives, reduced damage taken, equipped as much fire-rate Speed chips I could find, increased ink-drop chips, increased disk drop chips, drone splat bombs, nearby explosions from defeating enemies, and of course:
*REEFSLIDER* .

Maybe I'm just an oldie, but for me, nothing can top the original bout with DJ Octavio, the Squid Sisters, dancing Cuttlefish and Calamari Inkantation. The fact that that song & battle brought us Agent 8, Marina & playable Octolings especially gives it extra weight these days

In chaos vs order it showed us a world where chaos was dominant but in side order it shows us what would happen if order was dominant you need Colour and life and that's what chaos kind of gives what order order gives a place where there's no colour there's no happiness there's only blank but if you have both them you can see all the colour and you have a perfect world you both need order and Chaos shows in the final battle version of the final boss come out of its smallest and he's a big chaotic and reckless he's a glitch glitch
This is why Chaos is important.

I never thought I’d slay Splatoon Nyarlathotep with an Octobrush when I was just seeing how it would go, but here I am!
Also the music slays as usual, i literally bobbed my head to the music while I was terrified of losing the run at this point. Never gonna forget this one! Bravo Splatoon

This really felt like a mixture between the just shapes and beats finale and the undertale finale. Side order was extremely outstanding and by far my favorite Splatoon related thing

Thank you for uploading this. I finally made it to the final boss, but had to look up how to beat it before I actually faced off against it. It took me a couple attempts (and ended up with a Game Over), but I finally did it after ascending the Spire again. Now I can travel to Inkopolis Square anytime I want!

Grizzco has illegally modified weapons for splatting salmonids while Pearl has illegal specials for splatting evil telephone, giant statues, and Fecto Forgo Octopi.

Am I the only one who felt like Side Order was a little short? I mean, I beat it on my second run up the elevator and saw the credits and thought, "That's it?" It was a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but I beat it in a couple of hours😭

They went a lot of calculations and predictions, getting the conclusion that the current dominate lifeform were a threats that need to taken out due to one aspect
And Ark pretty are impossible to defeat, as long there is malice in man, it will come back, which definitely something ZEIN shared(despite never been mentioned): as long kindness exists in human, it also will continue return
Some tips for Overlorder:
-Mobility is really important, especially in the later stages of the fight when it starts using lasers and reefsliders. The ink rails and treadmills around the arena are good for getting in the air and just gliding away from the attacks with Pearl drone. Otherwise curling bombs can also be useful, at least for reaching one of the former things.
-Some specials are definitely better than others. The ones I liked most were killer wail, triple ink strike, and ultra stamp. At first I thought ultra stamp wouldn't be good, but then I found out if you go right up to Overlorder then attack one of its tentacles, it has to keep turning to attack you and so laser eyes will just keep missing you, you're still mobile enough to recover if it uses its tentacle attack, and while that's going on you're doing like a thousand damage to it each hit. Crab tank wasn't very fun for me though since it's not the fastest and its tentacle attack kept launching me off the map to the point where I lost a run with all three lives left plus a continue trying to beat it with that special.
-Crowd control is also really important. If you can get a lot of lucky bomb chips, special charge ups, or drone specials with drone gauge charge, do it. Especially lucky bomb, that goes crazy if you have a lot of chips.
Who will win:
A large octopus made of coding with the main goal of stripping everyone’s personality and control to achieve perfect order.
Or a little octoling with a funky vibe

Not gonna lie, the end of each Splatoon single player mode since Octo Expansion has became the end of each Kirby adventure since Return to Dreamland. I mean, we know that now in the end of each journey in Splatoon since 2018, there’s a world-destroying mastermind in connection of the past of the Splatoon universe. And in Kirby games, each adventure starts with a peaceful grassland stage to the final battle with an ancient god like the Comet Monster who Credenza has called upon and tried to fall under her control in the Danger Force Series Finale. But not about that. It’s… *sigh* Look, all I’m trying to say is that the end of each Splatoon and Kirby adventure have pretty much a couples of things in common.
My favorite part of the cutscenes for those was Acht joining Marina, as they DJ'd alongside her. I also like how they move the right of their headphones off their ear before they start DJ'ing.

Hear my future telling the last splatfest will be the idol group fest, Big man go for Squid Sisters because the collab with them, Frye go For Off the Hook cause befriended with Pearl, and Shiver goes for Deep Cut cause being the splatfest winning-chosen leader cant go for other in her own era. And the winner by 0,01% Shiver so this way all 3 member of deep cut win.
Tbh this the creepiest splatoon boss with the music and everything side order is terrifying

@@mariapsi7844you can! The problem is that you can’t replay the whole boss fight and you start playing from 10:53 when you do it from the elevator, so there’s no way to see the cutscenes again
The one way to beat final bosses is to play music no one can resist them sick beats and I love it you think you can win via being a giant evil being who can destroy the world with something evil well guess what we got sick beats here in splatoon and we're going to play them go play ebb and flow calamari inkantation and other songs especially the remixes
