So here it goes…A thought popped up about you saying a little prayer at the beginning and end of your videos. This would be a great way to start and end your videos, and most importantly a great way to make Christ the center of your videos as you continue to worship him. You could take turns. And pray for anything…for everyone watching, for your message to be received, for your family and their day, etc. Love you guys and continue spreading your light and love for the Lord as you paint the picture of a Christ centered marriage and family ❤️
-central Wisconsin: Love the new intro.! ….Tip for getting your kids to open up and interact with you/talk to you, as they get older, is to have one and one engagement with them, like playing a game outside or inside, throwing the basketball, tossing the softball/baseball, etc., and this seems to work especially with boys. You’ll be surprised how much kids will then open up about their day, their friends & their thoughts, when you interact with them one on one -in a playing environment. That’s at least what I found out with my kids when they were younger.
YES! God, spouse, kids. In that order. All the time. You’re so right. Your kids will see what a strong marriage looks like. I remember my dad routinely taking my mom out on a date and if we asked to come (like to a restaurant) with them, he said “nope it’s just me and mom tonight”. My parents both together and individually spent tons of time with us kiddos… but I never had a doubt in my mind my dad put my mom first - and that never bothered me a single second because I wasn’t wondering if they were ever getting a divorce or going to separate because they went out together all the time. That’s probably ONE of the reasons they’ve been married over thirty years!
