It´s so nice to see Eberson play....really highflying WITH as the REAL capoeira moves, it´s like watching a Bahiano Voador and a Carioca Malandro in one person... thumbs up.
I miss capoeira. I was a graduado when I had to stop. I put 7 years of sweat into the art from when i was 18 until I was 25. Now I’m 32, married, 4 kids (including twin boys who are 7mo old). The twins keep us so busy we don’t have time for anything. I wish I could go back, but it’s just not feasible for me to go back. I was pretty good, but I doubt my body could hold up like it did years ago.
It's nice to see some of the martial applications of Capoeira. Speed, power, accuracy, etc. You can see they way he lays a trap for his opponent and then enters their blind spot.
the church, as described in most academic books, is its people... so is capoeira! the spirit of this art rejoices in the presence of people and grows there... you don't confine yourself into solitude like the shaolin does for the sake of hard training. you don't even have to endure the pains experienced by the practicioners of muay thai. you have friends... the capoeiristas! they will not hurt you! never!
Eberson lives in Taguatinga, a city near Brasília, the capital of Brazil. He was part of Ave Branca group and then moved to Abadá. I've seen some of his games in the roda in theCity Park. He is the fastest capoeirista I've ever seen.
capoeira was used a long time ago by slaves in their eventual scapes. It was the only weapon they had that time and was deadly. Nowadays i dunno exactly if u can call it a game, sport, show or whatever. Its very beautifull to watch and this guys are just too good for you.
these guys (capoeiristas) can land anytime they want to. the 'dancing around' is part of the art and ensures continuity. i've seen rodas /games that have turned into brawls... there was very little 'dancing'.
great capoeirista, uses also straight attack combos n sweeps not only the fency, good looking but uneffective stuff,u r a complete martial artist to me,THE PHOENIXXX
This is cool, ive never seen it real life... but ive always been interested in Capoeira, so much different than other martial arts thats what makes it so cool, I would really like to learn!!
Eu pensar eu nunca ve jogos egual dentro muito aspectos peligro/tecnica/bonita. WOOOOW! I love it man! It is breathtakingly awesome stuff! DANGEROUS, EXTRAORDINARY and BEAUTYFULL! Can I also recommend 'Best Capoeira video ever' it is TRULY AWESOME too, not so fight orientated, buy very strong and almost unbelievably beautiful too. Muito obrigado, Eberson e todo! Apachewolfscout e seteescolars.
It does. there are many hand technics like: Asfixiante Bochecho Cotovelada Cutilada Dedeira Desprezo Escala Galopante Godeme Leque Soco Telefone... and also many locks et throws like arrastões, tesouras, vingativas, cinturas desprezadas...
i believe i had a chance of meeting Eberson for the 1st time @ ABADA Capoeira batizado in NY (Mestranda Edna Lima) but something came up @ the last minute =(
for all the guys dissing on capoeira. Despite the acrobatics it's a very effective martial art. My friend and housemate "eberson" aka pinel (the small guy in the clip) is a 3 time freefight champion in brasil. The acrobatics really help improve the strength in your legs
I was answering for question what is happening in this video. Capoeira can also be used for real fighting, as it's history is telling. "Secret way of slaves." Thanks for bringing other side and facts for this chatting.
just amazing!!! playing with floreios and kicking that ís the real capoeira, a brazilian martial arts. We are used to see just acrobatic movemen, but this video it´s different, they are really looking for the moment to put the other on the floor.
the reason capoeira looks like it does is because it was disguised so the land owners wouldn't know they were training. their are many types of capoeira, some more acrobatic and some with more contact. I don't know where you fall in this spectrum but you could always try to look for a group that suits you better...
but not if you like it. Because Capoeira is something enjoyable for those who love it and it is a really cool feeling when you enter a roda to play. That "wasted" energy is used in a goodn and really fun way and that's called AXE!
Eberson lendário kkkk conheço e além de grande mestre é história de vida!
It´s so nice to see Eberson play....really highflying WITH as the REAL capoeira moves, it´s like watching a Bahiano Voador and a Carioca Malandro in one person... thumbs up.
capoeira just like skateboarding can be destructive, but is to express the joy of freedom

one of the fastest most intense rodas i've ever seen

capoeira is BEAUTIFUL
capoeira was used a long time ago by slaves in their eventual scapes. It was the only weapon they had that time and was deadly.
Nowadays i dunno exactly if u can call it a game, sport, show or whatever. Its very beautifull to watch and this guys are just too good for you.
Good video, i think that capoeira is the one of the best martial arts in the world, because combine acrobatic jumps and fast kicks.
Rollex
these guys (capoeiristas) can land anytime they want to. the 'dancing around' is part of the art and ensures continuity. i've seen rodas /games that have turned into brawls... there was very little 'dancing'.
exactly, its the game, its much more than just hitting and evading, its learning through the game and to dialogue with the oponent.

i believe i had a chance of meeting Eberson for the 1st time @ ABADA Capoeira batizado in NY (Mestranda Edna Lima) but something came up @ the last minute =(
Yes, it's Abadá.
Here in Brazil, there are many kinds of capoeira: some groups use full contact. I dunno if its outlaw or not, but i never have seen problem with both.
Well said Miyo

Abada and muzenza have to be my favorite capoeira groups cause they be hella agressive also along with gingaminas but its not all too recognized
