If the laptop's model number and design is same, you can upgrade RAM and SSD. Ram slots in your laptop can check at Windows Task Manager 1 of 1 or 1 of 2,etc. Sata SSD can upgrade. I recommended to upgrade NVME SSD, leave the HDD, it is more better way.
Sorry for late reply. Not too much difference between them. When you using 2400MHz and 2666MHz, your PC will work with 2400MHz. This laptop's one slot soldered. This is the disadvantage of choosing RAM. Don't doubt about the RAM speed.

Hello. I have a problem, and well I hope someone can help me. I have an IdeaPad S340 14API with 4GB of onboard RAM and AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Processor. I recently installed an 8 GB RAM with a frequency of 2400 MHz (which is the compatible frequency) and since then the machine has not worked normally. Every while when the pc is going to start, the screen turns off and another starts and so on until the OS is able to start. Other times when it is running and I do a process that consumes RAM, the OS stops (I get a blue screen with a sad face :() and restarts, or sometimes the screen goes black and freezes. The fan does not work normally , sometimes it does not start. Can someone please guide me what may be happening. Thank you very much and excellent video @Tursk. An extra fact is that I did not put the metal plate that covers the slot.
Please take a note error code of Blue screen of dead. There are many ways of error codes. But does this error occur after installing new RAM? In that case, make sure to replace the RAM at the store. And it may not be compatible with the RAM brand and laptop board.
