Great content. I was waiting to see a video on the Napit (Trimble) software for a while. Your videos are not boring or too long. You should give your self some credit.
Come just at the right time this. We have recently moved over from trimble due to it being discontinued and will use this to help get to grips with new software. Top man
I've used the old Amtech software years ago, and I'm just getting to grip with this newer version. I agree it is the best software, especially with larger reports as it will give you a nice distribution board schedule. Also, always liked the way you group 3phase circuits which had to be done manually on the old desktop version. I'm having a few teething issues ATM, the mobile version doesn't produce Napit style certs, the desktop version does. Other then that and my cloudsync errors it's a great improvement.. Hi mark great video, very impressed with your presentation, I have just had the trial cone through but when I log onto it via my laptop I click on download but the screen doesn’t change so I can’t see the certificates or the page you started on in this video, I have do little app on my I phone and I can see the certificates on there, have you any ideas why I can’t use this on my laptop. Keep up the great videos 👍
Hi Andrew. Never had that problem. Maybe the minimum spec to run the software ? Will have a look tomorrow but napit tech support is great on this if you want me to put you in touch with them? Take care. Mark
Also i thought it was all in the cloud so why do we need to assign the cert to our selfs? Can’t we just sign in and all certs be there? And if we collect data on site with iPad and the internet is a poor area or the pad dies do we loose that data inputted as we didn’t click that save button?
Hi Bradley. It is all in cloud. But for bigger setups with a few engineers and loads of certs it gets complicated quickly. So assignment of certs is really helpful in that case. The cert is stored locally on the ipad / tablet/ mobile so long as you save it. You can set it to do this automatically. Hope that helps.
If you have mastered the certificate it can not be amended. However you can copy it in the top left menu in the certificate list screen. To make changes. You would then need to remaster and it would give a new certificate number. But all the info is carried across. Hope that helps.
@@electrician247 it was on the laptop.. its OK.. Contacted support.. Apparently my account had been restricted so it prevented me from deleting certificates and access to other bits.. They reset it and now I have a delete button.. I thought I was going crazy not figuring out how to delete them.. Lol

Thank you Mark for going through the new NAPIT FastTest, I have a couple of questions if your able to answer them or able to find out as you've been granted access early. Does the new software prevent you mastering a certificate if you've forgotten to fill in or check a required box for example 'Next inspection date'? (I ask as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has mastered a cert and unfortunately missed it - and the current Desktop version wont flag anything, I know it asks are you happy to master but with time factor and the amount of certs required to be completed it would be handy) When completing the LABC notification as part of the cert (selecting the slider) does this now print the LABC cert when printing the electrical cert? as this would be really useful as currently with the Desktop version this is not an option, you have to then log on to the NAPIT login site then print from there. Hopefully that could be addressed as it will remove another step of paperwork Now on to my OCD - the current Desktop N/A is not the same per section of the cert - some are N/A then some are NA or you get na (would be nice if they were all the same) Many thanks

The LABC certs can be printed and made into pdf from fast test! Thats a win! The NA again I will have to look at that. Will report back soon! Guys what is happening with their Schedule of Inspections????????? It's an absolute fkn nightmare.. They have like 250 tick boxes with half of it repeating 3 times- it is only when doing EICR industrial or commercial. I am half way through and completely lost, its going on and on and on and on about same stuff... they got to sort this crap for sure

Cheers Andy. I found you have to set the logo and header colours in the app. They dont cloud sync between mobile/desktop from what I understand.

For 2391 GN3 is really the start and end. Code breakers is useful from NAPIT to help with codes etc.

Not as far as I know. App based only on ipad. But its a strong app with lots of functionality built in

Mark I dine an electrical.inspection and I have 14 lines in test results. How an I delete all these lines. Please

Yes mate. Highlight in the main list of certs, right click and delete.
