Hi Stella, yes, I prefer elastic or memory wire bracelets as I really struggle to do up the clasps. My husband always has to come to the rescue. Great video! I started making jewelry 25 years ago because I could never find bracelets that would fit my small wrists. Planning out the length of the clasp all connected together before stringing makes great sense. I've taken apart too many bracelets that were too long after attaching the clasp. 😅

Where were you when I first started making jewelry?! I love the way you show and describe the different processes you go through to make a piece of jewelry. I've been making different pieces off and on for my 3 grown daughters for about 20 years, and I still pick up some tips from you. I do have one question...What is in all those jars on the shelves in back of you that look like different jellies and jams? I assume that's how you store some, if not all, of your baubles. Can you give some ideas on storage for all the different types of things you use...beads, spacers, clasps, wires, tools, etc.?

I got confused at first, thinking I had come across an old video!! I’m in the US and we are going into Winter! I really loved this because I make custom jewelry and jewelry to sell. I’m so glad you showed how you would measure a toggle clasp! I’ve been loving toggle clasps lately. I usually have customers measure their wrist and give me the measurements. Then I use a bead board to lay out the bracelet. Remembering to measure the clasp will be crucial for me going forward! Thank you so much!!

I run an online bead store so I need to very well organised. I have over 3,500 products and need to know exactly where they are at all times.
I did a video about how I organise my beads and supplies with my Jewellery Box membership group a couple of weeks ago. I am thinking about doing one for the channel but it will be a wee bit away.
You helped me a lot. I have very small wrist and never can I get the length right when I make bracelets. You have given out the size that is a normal size wrist. Can you give me any hints on how to make bracelets for a tiny wrist?
Thank you, Liane. For a tiny wrist, I would just scale down the beads. You can still have a focal, just a smaller on. To be honest, I actually prefer to wear memory wire bracelets. You might find, if you can get a size that fits you, that works better for your small wrist. With this piece, you could just take off some of the purple bicones and lined beads to make the bracelet smaller. I would also look at a smaller clasp and jump rings if you can handle doing them up. If not, try a small toggle clasp that becomes part of the design. I hope that's helpful.
Hi Carol, as I said before, besides watching your tutorial vids, I have been turning to you when I need to practice that "perfect loop". My hands don't work so well now because of nerve damage, which has made my left hand almost completely numb...not too good for my jewelry creations so I need to make it behave and your video has been invaluable .

Hello. Love watching your videos. Why do my crimp tubes consistently fail? Is the tiger tail too thin and crimp tube too big?
Thanks for the question, Juliette. It's hard to say without more information. Are they breaking when you squeeze them or not holding when you are wearing the piece? If it's the first one, sometimes we tend to squeeze them too hard so you could try using a little less pressure. For the second one, it may be the opposite that you're not squeezing hard enough, unless they are breaking in which case it could be that you're squeezing too hard and damaging the crimp tube. The other option is that the crimps aren't good quality. I'm not sure if that was helpful at all. Please let me know and I'll try to assist.
Oh wow! How awesome to get a reply from you! Thank you. They are breaking when wearing or testing the jewellery. I will be honest and say that I squeeze them very hard to close them, as the wire wants to slip out. So I thought if I tried flattening the crimp tube well, it won't slip out. At this point, either the wire gets cut or the crimp tube breaks. Or once I've attached jump rings and clasp, I give it a bit of a tug to see if it is strong the wire comes loose and pulls out of the crimp tube.

Hello there! I'm really interested in using Tiger Tail but I found it to be quite expensive even for a small flat spool. Is there a other brand you could suggest that's comparable to Tiger Tail?
