so dialed. love the natural bike noises. my favorite sounds are all the different noises tires make, from skids to landings to that 180 squeek or a slider. of course the worse sound from a tire has to be pshssssssssss.
we had a water pipe brake and it caused the sidewalk to crack in this area in my city where you didnt really walk, no houses in that area just stuff like walmart(not actually walmart but a huge chain canadian hardware store) and grocery stores and a mail processing plant for the public post. like a truck yard and shit. we had a sweet as bank to bank with like 8 ledges near by for like a year man. shit was sweet. square concrete slabs basically just got pushed up in the gap and a 3rd one broke in half. the ledges were just there as decoration i guess. we also had this crazy gnarly stair set with a ledge on the left and this stupid as rail that just went straight out, was at least 8 feet off the ground, set was huge. got torn down though, but i saw some dude hit it before i even rode. thinking back i wish that spot hadnt gotten torn down, shit would been perfect for some cool combo since the rail was long, same with the ledge. btw dude youre sooo smooth. im jealous. i cant ride transition for shit, coping fucks me up, cant a bad habit of riding with my weight super far forwards, plus i like forks with short offsets. feels really nice with a skinnier back tire for fakie tricks. even on a cassette i find fakie tricks are just super fun my favorite combo was switch pivot(im fuck footed) to manny 180 to full cab slider out. infinity sliders or whatever you call them, just straight backwards those were fun as shit too.
I've always looked up to the way you ride I even went to Greenville to ride your old local park because it looked so amazing. Having said that Dan you need to start WEARING A HELMET. be a good roll model for the up and comers. I regret not wearing a helmet for 7 years of riding bikes until I paid the price. I want t see you shred for years and years to come.
Hey Dan, quick question, how do you get motivated to ride on these solo sessions? A lot of my close friends have recently quit BMX due to jobs, moving, etc, and I'm the last one left in my little local scene. I'm finding it tough to get motivated to ride when the only thing that was pushing me to progress was my friends. BMX isn't the same when you can't get stoked on friends and let that excitement push you to ride harder.
