Free Sun Position Blender Addon!

In this tutorial I demonstrate how to use the free and preinstalled Sun Position plugin in Blender. It allows us to perfectly match the sun position and shadow direction of the real world at any time and place. This works based on coordinates and date/time. It is a perfect tool for VFX and CGi integrations.

so when the shadow color is so way off... something must be completly broken in one of blenders systems. sad

if can be adjusted in blender by changing the colour temperature value of the sun .

Unless you take a true hdri fron the street, shadows wpuld be hard to get right witouth ay ost production /compositing.
Even in movies industry they fix on compositing

I wasn't aware of this plug-in. Thanks for the video.
It's a shame that it isn't easier to get real world sunlight and shadows out of Blender, it should be automatic just by coordinates and date. I don't know if Unity etc does this better, probably not, but I don't see why the default world shouldn't be Earth + GPS + date + time.
