The only thing I looked forward to with the second season is the videos like this shitting on this show. There was no way on earth any amount of work was going to fix this show after the first season. Specifically with that plank of wood Pablo.
Your complaints about the music resembling the game's is similar to how I feel about the Cowboy Bebop live action using the exact same intro song from the anime... I don't like that song being associated with the live action. Make something new. Same as House of the Dragon using Game of Thrones' theme song. It just feels wrong.
I still dream with the Peter Jackson's adaptation haha. While a Hall fan since 2001, there no interest for me in this series, but your videos, now that's what talking about!
Remember there's like 2 Dozen Spartan 2's by this point and they all grew up together, they all know each other intimately and were raised in rigid stoic military discipline.
Well its better then season 1 which I'll take and after episode 3 were gonna get some action. Found your channel a few weeks ago loved your season 1 vids looking forward to more. God bless you. Respect from Chicago IL USA!
@@workingjellyfish Coming back to this after the show finished. You were right about the extra story plots, writing, and the lack of focus. Though better then season one it still not what it could be. Unlike great tv shows were you can watch a full season and see the story unfold this show makes it really hard to do that cause you cannot think of the whole season without getting pissed off and laughing at the lack of a clear plot line and story.
I'm always hesitant to judge any show based on their first 2-3 episodes, because that's usually where the money and care and attention goes, because studios knows those are the episodes most reviewers watch before putting out their reviews and the studio can half-ass everything else.
Okay, the teenage banter thing is what the military is all about it’s just not right for Spartans because where the hell are they learning this humor from when they were kidnapped for their whole lives basically.
If you thought Halo didn't get good until 343 were developing it, then you are gonna love this tv show. What you have to remember is that all the changes made in the TV show were either thought up by or ok'd by 343 industries. You see, this was their chance to change Halo to what it should have been without having to adhere to what Bungie created. You see, 343 know how the Halo story should have been made. They figured they knew what Halo was about more than Bungie did and were gonna make sure their vision was going up on screen and not Bungie. And i disagree with this video in that they didn't change a single character or plot point. Every single lore and/or story point that was wrong and horrid in the first season is carried on in season 2.
The green leather costume at 17:06 looks like a skinny version of the costumes you'd find in that Planet Mountain Dew commercial an AI generated: ruclips.net/video/iCR1OmL-8Ys/видео.html
A massive issue I have that Ive seen almost no one address is that fact season 1 clearly shows that the spartan's helmets record everything they do. Several times in the first season we see their combat and mission footage. Why not simply look at the footage from his helmet. They could have put in a single back and fourth to explain the video was corrupted or something but we get nothing. Watch the video Ackerson.
Ackerson and ONI know what MC saw; they are covering it up. This is why Hollywood has to dumb down its programming. People get really confused if they put even a little bit of intrigue in the story.
I notice the action shots are all cloudy or misty or really fucking dark. I didn't mind the wide shots, but its really jarring and comes across as a budget saving difference this time around. Especially when some jackass sends 8 men to be killed in the dark as a MILITARY LEADER. AND THEY DO IT! The UNSC is still portrayed as really, really stupid. Theres a lot of things they do that the roman empire wouldn't have done(and getting their uniforms wrong is one of them). Hell,. sending spartans to negotiate a small settlement evacuation is...weird. Why would you send your best for that? I honestly wish they'd read the book where it goes through how the spartans were picked, trained, augmented etc and shows how their attitude would be in a tight knit unit of consummate professionals trained from children, not less professional than ODSTs have been shown.
I didn't read it as bashing myself. He isn't criticizing the actor, he's criticizing the decision to include a character who appears to be there only to attract the very lucrative Chinese audience while also not even giving her anything to do relevant to the plot. It's not that you can't have an Asian or Chinese-specifically character, but that the way they did it in this show didn't feel like "this is a character that's a part of this story who happens to be [nationality/sex/race]" and instead felt very clearly like "This character is here for the sole purpose of having [nationality/sex/race] included for optics purposes." And I do think that's worthy of criticism and barbed comments/nicknames like Jellyfish used. But I can see that it can come off as racial bashing too.
