Well presented with very nice verbal audio enhances tutorial. Thank you for not ruining it with music. I like all your presentations as you very carefully elucidate and don't go too fast. Your disclaimer at end is important (as you cannot really make the rods thru machining, and the threads would never work in the real world as no tolerance would bind and lock). Outstanding presentation on how to model.
This worked for me when creating the Helical and Fillet.(Ben Taylor)"I increased the pitch of the thread to 3.25mm instead of 3mm. I was then able to use the 0.75mm fillet. No matter what size fillet I used (even went as low as 0.1mm) It still kept showing the same error message".
I have seen in the comments that, lot of you have faced issue while constructing the fillet for the thread. You can resolve it by choosing the "face fillet" option instead of " corner fillet ".
Is there any way to "crush" or fold the spring? or any other object? And I don't mean the stress simulation, I really mean a way to animate objects like a spring to fold or something.
i could not do also the second fillet.i resolved the issue by selecting the fillet type:face fillet, and after that selecting the 2 faces between the edge that must be filleted
when cutting the top edge of the spring using extruded cut (18:00), how did you select the reference geometry or which point did u take as the reference point . When I select the top plane it appears at the center whereas in your tutorial I can see that it appears at the top . Would be really helpful if you could guide me thnks
16:47 Spring not work in solidwork 2024 ? spend a lot of time and cant find option menu in Sweap Like in the video "Twist along path" . i really need help .I'm stuck here
I made this project. It was wonderful. I have a question Do you have any tutorial to learn HSMworks or CAMworks? Finally Congratulations, You make nice tutorials.
I am unable to fillet both the edges because it's saying there's an error in the loop, or it is intersecting. I've checked several time there's no error i made ecactly by following your steps. Still i'm unable to fillet. Help.
Sir can you please make a video on how to make the spring in shock absorber compress and expand .... Learning from your videos is always awesome thanks sir
if you don't have 'twist along path' you should find a 'specify twist value' in Profile twist and 'Revolutions' in twist control. I'm using the solidworks 2019
Sir please reply how to do animation for this just now I finished assembly it came very well ✌ thanks a lot for u sir please say how to do animation for this. Waiting for your reply sir 🙏🙏🙏
sir wats the specification of your pc.?? and sir why dont you use cirular profile for sweep cut even in your sum old video my laptop freezes so i used circular profile instead of triangle nd its this one in jst single fillet of 0.75mm i lappy freezes though recovered bt i am nt able to do 2nd fillet means i cant select both edge at same tym... .my pc lennovo y50 -70 intel i7 4 gen 2.5 to 3.5 ghz 8 gb ram 4 gb nvidia gtx 860m 1tb hard disk
yes i can use circular profile for thread cutting but the design not to close the real view, but its good idea to avoid the calculation load on PC, i am using Workstation laptop with professional graphics card. Dell Precision M4800 Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4810MQ up to 3.6 GHz RAM : 16 GB HDD : 500 SSHD Graphics : Nvidia Quadro K1100 2GB
Hello, sir, you are doing great but there is a problem why are you not providing views of model means if you make any component please provide their dimensions so we can also practise by own.
When I apply helix and click normal to there is a little protrusion but yours has no that one . I realize that when I try to place my triangle . It is placed little bit outside of pipe
Sir your tutorial is best but I'm not getting that polished aluminum view it's only showing tree that it's applied is there any command to see applied metal view like catia has shading with material view
Where can i get orthographic drawings of parts u design??? So i can practice myself.... rather than designing by watching video....plz suggest me......
You "should" have an nVidia Quadro or AMD Firepro graphics card to activate "Real View" in the workspace. I say should, because there's a hack for some of the GTX cards to enable Real View, but I wouldn't recommend it, and anyone even remotely serious about SolidWorks should be using a professional card in my personal opinion. A cheap Quadro with good performance for beginners would be a K2000 or K2200.
@@MrMairu555 Good to know. No, I am not serious on SW! I like to sketch and create lockworks, I don't care for rendering. I can't sketch on SW... many years using Autocad.
@@garetz2011 No problem. I'm glad my reply helped explain why the materials do not look as good. As I say, you can bypass the limits on some nVidia GTX cards if you wish to. Just search for "nVidia Real View hack" to see how it's done. For non-serious use a "gaming" card is fine, but they can struggle with certain aspects of 3D manipulation within SolidWorks because of the way the it's programmed to use Quadro/Firepro features that don't physically exist in consumer cards.
@@garetz2011 Unfortunately (fortunately for myself because I'm in a lucky position😊) SolidWorks is leaning harder and harder on GPUs with each successive release, although it's still "single core" software as far as core programming goes. That means older hardware will only become more and more restrictive. If you're using an older version, say SW2014-15 then the "real view hack" may work for you. If you can afford it though, I'd really urge anyone wanting to learn SolidWorks to consider buying a pro-grade laptop. It doesn't need to be the latest and greatest, and even something like a DELL Precision M6600 with a Quadro Kx000M (or even Mx000M) can be found for about £250, and will make your experience so much better. I personally like to design in real view a lot, as I get a much more realistic interpretation of my parts, but often need to turn it off when working in certain planes as the surface finishes can be too bright to see sketch lines. Conversely, my friend never uses real view, and never renders parts, so it's all down to individual preferences. But what we can agree on, is even a really cheap Quadro is well worth it.
Loved it! I made it and I'm learning so much with you brother. India has many gifted people
sir thank you. The way you created spring and female threads of gear in minutes effortlessly is just awesome.

Dear sir I want to document on your project ...Can you share this pdf
Sir the dimensions u selected are standard dimensions or not..?
can you please show the animation of this shock absorber too?

can you make some machine that use diesel as a driver?
that can help my education here.
thanks
we can make machine using petrol. can that help your education?
Sir what application did you use ?
Which version of solidworks you are using ?
Solidworks2014
excuse me,sir. is that this absorber the same as absorber which used in washing machine (Washing Machine Shock Absorber)?
Sir please reply how to do animation for this just now I finished assembly it came very well ✌ thanks a lot for u sir please say how to do animation for this. Waiting for your reply sir 🙏🙏🙏
Very important video thank you,Sir.
Having troubles at 32:00 when I add the spring mate with the nut and top rod it doesnt rotate like yours? How can I fix this issue?

sir can u please tell me where u got those dimensions...I need assembly layout.please reply ASAP..
your videos are so helpfull please make more car parts if you can like steering knukle or control arm!!!
Can spring compression and expansion be possible in solidworks?
When I apply helix and click normal to there is a little protrusion but yours has no that one . I realize that when I try to place my triangle . It is placed little bit outside of pipe
Yes same problem
Thank you sir for teaching us I Am in sixth standard
hocam 16:46 saniyesine kadar kendim de yaptım ama süpürerek katı oluşturma komutu soluk yazıyla görünüyor yani kullanamıyorum şu an . neden?
how do you get that reflection on your component
you need professional graphics card in your system like Nvidia Quadro series or AMD firpro Series. other cards will not support real views.
good tutorial
very good
thanks,
nice i like it i am create this in PTC Creo 3.0
Thanks, All the best,
