regedit been around since windows 95 if not mistaken, people just became expert at editing the OS settings and newer versions still share same tree for most things, after all windows 10/11 is just an updated version of the core windows program....
Hoping someday Linux or any other OS can take on Windows, because we all know is just pure crap and slows down your system with crap stuck on your memory. Phones OS are the same, they self destroy with memory leaks and enforce people to buy a new one when they just can't handle the newer versions (software forcing people to upgrade the hardware as a plan of obsolesce )
I can't afford apple products and don't even recommend them, but wonder how long can they endure without the need to fix/reinstall the OS to improve/solve performance issues.

go to google and search ur processor model and check how much maximum ram u can increase
then install ssd and turn on ur pc it will be really faster i had ur same problem but when i did this my laptop is running really fast !! this is the only way or take a hard disk and backup ur files and format ur pc (including windows ) and download windows back again with the help of ur technician . OR JUST BUY a NEW PC ...

Hey... I tried almost all this tips and two days after my Ram was high again. I did the two first processes again but now my desktop screen is all black and none of the window's options respond nor appear. Some commands work though and I was wondering if you or anyone knows how to fix this problem. I can use the browser but I'm worried that once I turn off my screen and restart it, everything will be black as if I don't have any opperating system.

@@rob1yt6 FPS is usually affected by how many tabs you have open and how much memory you have left on your pc. Try removing some things and only keep Fortnite on to fix that.
Also, turn down post-processing and disable the FPS counter while in-game. That helps too!

My pc suddenly has 2 icons for windows security, one black and other common blue one
Both icon open same security window
Also my computer(new) suddenly became slower for last 2 days
I think its due to browser extension usage( downloaded form Microsoft add on) so I removed it but today when I opened one of the extension downloaded file it( window explorer)started loading very slow
I scanned my laptop my time using windows security but no threats found(I also noticed 2 different icons that time)

Did all the things in this video except defragmentation (as it's taking a while, and I plan on continuing on it when I have time.)I can definitely confirm it does work! Memory usage dropped by 20% to even 30%! Even a game that I couldn't run before due to not enough memory apparently runs perfectly fine and it's in game usage memory dropped from ridiculous 99% to a healthy 70-80%. Thank you so very much. im sort of in the same boat as you , but still Opera internet browser is using 99% DISK and 63gb of my 64gb total
only thing that solves it is if i do hard reboot by turning off the computer completely - waiting 5 minutes and then starting it up again
but it only lasts for like maybe 40-50 minutes and then all of my 64gb ram gets used up again
      i cant stand this

I run Autodesk Revit and without opening any project I can see in task manager Revit eating my memory piece by piece. It begins with 5% of total memory usage and slowly it goes up until it uses about 60% of all memore available. I repeat I don't open any model/project, just start the program and watch it destroys my memory...
