    The Deck lid is really looking good Phillip. I no your pain on the heat I work in it everyday it really takes a toll on you! Take it easy Phillip.

      You are right Heath, it sure does take a toll on you. I had to paint another car today and it was 105 in the paint booth again. I am so ready for cooler weather! Have a good weekend!

      Thanks! There's nothing wrong with using a MIG for something like this. I am fairly new to TIG welding, so every job I do with it is good practice. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for sharing, Phillip! The "special tool" you made to bend that lip back into position was brilliant! I would like to think that all fabricators have a drawer in their box specifically dedicated to other "special tools!" 'Looking forward to your next lesson!

    I work in the heat all day as well, and by the time I get home, I’m wore out.... sure makes it hard to work on anything else afterwards...

    Phillip tig welding the polarity has to be reversed. Negative goes to the torch, positive is the ground

    Yes sir, I feel your pain. It was 91 in Daytona today with a heat index of 105. It can be punishing and oppressive if you stay in it for any length of time which I do as well.
    That trunk lid looks great and its hard to believe considering how it looked to start. Highly motivating for me. Thanks for that!
