You are right Heath, it sure does take a toll on you. I had to paint another car today and it was 105 in the paint booth again. I am so ready for cooler weather! Have a good weekend!
Thanks! There's nothing wrong with using a MIG for something like this. I am fairly new to TIG welding, so every job I do with it is good practice. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing, Phillip! The "special tool" you made to bend that lip back into position was brilliant! I would like to think that all fabricators have a drawer in their box specifically dedicated to other "special tools!" 'Looking forward to your next lesson! Bro Harry
Yes sir, I've got a few in the special drawer I've put together over time. I'm glad you liked it. it really did work well for something so simple. Have a good week!

What you’ve gotten done so far looks great....Phillip I work in the heat all day as well, and by the time I get home, I’m wore out.... sure makes it hard to work on anything else afterwards... Thanks for putting in the extra effort to do the videos for us... Stay cool and hydrated my friend...
Excellent repairs and an extra 10 points for the tool you made to straighten out the hole flange ! Love making "special" tools like that, especially when they work perfectly. Love your channel, Phillip.
Yes sir, I feel your pain. It was 91 in Daytona today with a heat index of 105. It can be punishing and oppressive if you stay in it for any length of time which I do as well. That trunk lid looks great and its hard to believe considering how it looked to start. Highly motivating for me. Thanks for that!
Yes sir, I know y'all are having some scorching hot days there too. Thanks for the feedback! That's motivating for me! glad you are getting something out of these videos!
The Deck lid is really looking good Phillip. I no your pain on the heat I work in it everyday it really takes a toll on you! Take it easy Phillip.

Thanks, this car was a huge undertaking, but these small victories are starting to add up.
@@phillipshotrodgarage i can relate! Its all the sweeter when you fix up the car that others say is just too far gone

That turned nice! I have made that kind of lip fixing tools too, simply, cheap and works every time
Yes sir, it worked out good for me! And, it took no time at all to make it.

Phillip tig welding the polarity has to be reversed. Negative goes to the torch, positive is the ground
Thanks, I'll double check my setup!

@@phillipshotrodgarage closest I found near me lately.was a 30 pick up rotted out & bad frame, $7000 firm. No way !!
Sounds like it's a little high for what you described.
