Im from Cleveland and I resonate a lot about your home pride comments. We too consistently wear touristy tshirts even though we’ve lived here all whole lives and are in a similar situation when it comes to sports teams. I see a lot of parallels between our cities.

Thanks for commenting! I hope you get your quarterback situation figured out! I was rooting for you guys to go farther with Mayfield, but maybe Watson can be the guy? Who knows?

Thank you! We see the tornado warning now! So far so good though. Seems peaceful. I also flew up the drone into the lightening. It was incredible, and I didn’t crash the drone either!

Big Justin Herbert fan as I went to school in Oregon, but I moved to Weston, Mo because I am Chiefs fan. So I root for the Chargers when they are not playing the Chiefs!

Oh yeah! I think we're going to have a great year. Love the Harbaugh hire, and I thought they did well in the draft. I like the Alt pick if we couldn't have MHJ.

Actually, the nightlife is ranked 10th of all cities in US, but you make good points.

You are so right on these points. I've always observed (and experienced) that >expectations< are the genesis of disappointment with a location (and other life events). We have something built up in our mind and the reality is, well, reality. There's the saying, "wherever you go, there you are." With moving, though, there's no way to actually know what it's like until you are there.

I always enjoy your thoughts! I make sure to read your comments twice, since they are thought-provoking. I think that one thing that they made me think about was the sense of displacement that we humans tend to experience, no matter our expectations and how they are met. I commonly think about this living here. I wouldn't be anywhere else, I have a wonderful family and great career. I love the city where we have built our lives, but I'm sometimes overcome with a sense of "huh, that's all there is?"
