No other Dragon Ball games hit as hard for me as BT3 & RB2. The memories of running through the Galaxy Mode gauntlets and challenges as a kid are strong. If Raging Blast doesn’t have a future, I’m glad that Budokai Tenkaichi is returning at least.
Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is actually the best DBZ games hands down gave you every transformation, fusions, let you fuse with characters who never fused together, gave us the biggest character roster in DBZ game history and the gameplay was before it’s time with the 3D fighting style and gameplay he maps where a decent size and the story had every saga even the movie sagas
Raging blast 2 was my fav game to play whenever I got to my cousin's house, sadly he lost the disc and his ps3 doesn't work so R.I.P, I used to love using cell and spamming his transform button to become "Perfect"
Not sure why I laughed so hard at Krillin and Guldo team pick :D If they released RB3 / BT4 with 2v2 fights AND local multiplayer, it would be a perfect Dragon Ball game to me
This was maybe my favorite DBZ game either Raging blasts or Tenkaichi series but back didn't we didn't really care how it looked like that but watching this made me realize how beautiful it looked compared to a lot of graphic games back then
BT / RB series are hands down my favorite Dragonball games, probably even my favorite games period. I have plenty of memories of and nostalgia for each entry. RB 2 is no exception, but I have to admit: after revising this game a month ago and playing through most of galaxy mode, I understand now why this game didn't live up to the hype of its predecessors and ultimately didn't inspire a continuation of the series. I didn't play much Battle Zone so please let me know if in doing so I'm missing something in my analysis: The Good: - A roster worthy of the franchise (probably the biggest critique of RB 1). - Improved and expanded upon the combat system (most notably of course the addition of Raging Soul mechanic). - Fixed a lot of the glitchy nonsense caused by awkward camera angles (especially when up against a wall). - Balanced the item customization system by implementing power levels in place of Tetris. - Battle Zone gives you something to do after Galaxy Mode (more unlockables to boot). The best part is you can unlock stuff using whatever character you want! The Bad: - Galaxy Mode... great concept... horrendous execution. At best, I'd call it a change of pace for returning players and a huge turnoff for newcomers. You can't pick the difficulty; instead, the AI is toddler difficulty and takes bonus damage. This is supposed to be balanced by the modifiers like enemy regenerating health, having greater numbers, time limits, etc. In my experience, these modifiers either were not enough to offset how easy the AI is (or the fact that you can do 2bars/4 bars of damage with a super/ultimate), OR constrained you to the point that if you didn't play perfectly down to the frame, you can find yourself spending 15min + on one level (mostly talking about starting with 1 HP). I either won with my eyes closed or got frustrated having to restart over and over. The only fights that felt like actual challenges were 1v5s (typically labeled Ultimate difficulty). I like that they tried to give us something other than playing through the DBZ story for the 100th time, but it simply didn't work. - Enhanced characters are cool... I guess? But realistically, only your little brother is going to pick them. Just feels like a waste of development resources when you can just create a game mode with no power level cap on custom characters. - With the exception of the actual gameplay, the art took a nosedive from the previous entries of the game. The soundtrack is unmemorable, the startup cutscene is skippable (it pains my soul to say this but come on, it's nothing compared to the ones in BT3 or RB1), even the main menu got downgraded to 2D with a generic outer space background. + Points for the Hatchiyak movie though. - Tutorial isn't automatically fully unlocked. This is purely a nuisance if you're anybody but a first time player and want to start learning, for example, advanced combos right away. I really don't see the point of this, especially when they don't even force you to play the tutorial. - Why do you have to UNLOCK max difficulty? I love this game with all my heart, and am still playing it today. But ultimately, in hindsight, I feel like I have to be forced to play through unfulfilling content just to be able to unlock stuff, whereas a new player can get a strictly better "intro to DragonBall" experience from BT3 or RB1.
i do not care this game is S tier the amount of good memories i have on this game is unreal graphics wise the game is stunning till this day the gameplay is so fun fast paced and really makes u feel like ur whoopin ass this game is amazing but only problem is its not really accessible for people to play you have to own an xbox 360 or ps3 to play or run an emulator but thats quite difficult.
Hey loki in sonic triple trouble 16bit you can play a snowboard mini game in 3d in robotnik winter act 2 and snowboard in 2d and you can play in a submarine in tidal plant act 2 and you can play as metal sonic if you beat the game as knuckles and if you collect all emeralds you can play as fang and these two(fang and metal) can only be played in free play
Great game , but honestly it’s kind of funny to see the conversations that have to be had about BT3 and RB2 , because a simple little bit of hard work is preventing people from getting past the execution barrier of FighterZ haha. It reinvented and is the goat and highest quality game of an entire literal Genre , revived Evo by itself and displaced SF as the final event for the first time in history. But yeah we can pretend BT3 and RB2 are on that level I guess.
Im pretty sure Vegeta never becoming SSJ3 had to do with not having a dead body for the 7 years after Cell that would allow him to surpass what his body normally would limit.

P/S: Still better than seeing rhymestyle and that other dude play tenkaichi and not having one clue of what the buttons do and wondering why they're getting their ass beat tho, lmfao.
I personally liked 1 better Oddly enough. But this series had the best fight mechanics of any series. Not only that but the 3d environments with interactive features (destroying buildings, fighting underwater) is also a plus. As much as I loved Budokai when I was younger this is far superio r to the 2d style.
