All I remember from the raging blast games is from the second one, goku ssj3 had the most absurd combo to just keep punching the opponent side to side all over, it was insane..
This game was how I even heard of Dragon Ball, so this will always hold a special place in my heart. Plus, the broken Kaioken build my brother built was insane xD
Never played RG1, but definitely put a lot of hours into RG2, always preferred the cel-shaded look of it over RG1 too. It was the best of the arena DBZ fighters by a long shot, very much felt like a culmination of the games by that point which unfortunately was the same time when people were fatigued by them. Supposedly Zenkai Battle is better but that never left the arcades (or Japan for that matter).
Raging blast was a huge part of my childhood, As a kid growing up my family didn’t have much money so all we could afford was a few games and one ps3 that me and my brother both played CONSTANTLY, this was me and my little brothers favorite game i remember playing this game with him all day long until my mom made us go to bed it was so much fun
Fun Fact: meteor combination is in the game but you have to unlock it through story mode, there are so many moves for every character and you can even customise the aura!
Raging Blast 2, with the way you could customize characters, was insane. I remember I had a fully decked out Goku who had full melee stats on base, full ki on SSJ, full melee on SSJ2, and then ki again for SSJ3 and the halo. Also, you could change people's auras too.
I unfortunately could not play Raging Blast but I remember watching my boyfriend at the time and his friends play it. I thought the game looked good and that the fact you had different special moves for all the transformations in a fight was super cool! Also, the Radditz bit sent me.
Just the amount of time I have put into the first game and its customization. The fact that you could change almost every characters super attacks and forms. The level of customization in the deck building, letting you pick exactly what part of your characters attacks you wanted to focus on as well. Plus even the little detail of being able to put a halo on every characters head as well. Nothing but fond memories for this game.
Doto is the dragon ball fan we should all aspire to be, always having fun, loves when he gets hit by gigantic supers because the animations are so fun and flashy, never gets salty, too many of the players in these dragon ball games are too toxic and serious (I'm looking at both fighterz and xenoverse so dont think anybody is excused) when in reality it's a much better franchise when everyone is just having fun enjoying the content
