This is the sickest game of rock paper scissors I've ever seen
Nah it's rock versus different rock
Lmfao somebody out there is gonna feel offended and complimented at the same time
It truly was
this game is so much better then shiterz
Someone get this man to play Dragon Ball Z Hyper he'd love it
Custom characters, great looking attacks, customisable fighting styles, moves and auras. This game had some awesome features. And they ruined it with rock paper scissors
If this game just had BT3 or RB2 gameplay it would have been one of the best DBZ games.
For real
I fully agree
@@gamesuper1863 what does everyone mean when they say rock paper scissors??
@@hallanwestly4141 tbh idk
This game is literally nothing but "guess the mix". No wonder Doto is so good at it.
The 50/50s were ridiculous. Evo wasn't ready for this game
Guess the mix doto very essence
@@warrentackitt6018 it's in his veins. The power of The Mix is what his very blood is made of. Trying to Mixing doto is like asking a mind reader what number you're thinking of.
Guess the mix
7:13 "Can you guess correctly, Nano? You're life's on the line."
That was a terrifying delivery of that line Doto
I could see someone like Cell or Frieza saying that
Mans tapped into his inner Cell or Frieza for that one
They took the worst part of Budokai 3 and said, "Hey, let's make an entire game around this."
Not even the worst it actually was cool asf in budokai 3. They even gave you all 4 options rather than the standard 2 this game set. But this game abused the hell of it
The difference in beam size made me audibly gag in a mixture of laughter and gasping.
This game brings back so many memories. My friend and I literally played this game for 20 hours straight upon release despite both of us saying how shit this gameplay was. We then returned to the true king of DBZ games, Tenkaichi 3
For me I think BT 2 Is abit better in terms of roster. Yeah it's kinda sad they don't have the cast like BT3 was but at least not all the newer ones has stock moves that is a kinda the main thing for BT3. This is really recognizable especially on Goku end and Adult gohan
@@bruhford3954 and the story was waaaaaay better in BT2
@@blackarot1615 yup, I do like they make the RPG system Abit better in BT2 then Budokai 3. You can actually explore untill you done and go to the main mission
Overall, BT2 Has more content while BT3 kinda improve stuff and has the most memorable Soundtrack
@@bruhford3954 naaaaw i wouldnt agree with the soundtrack. Bt2 just slaaaams Bt3 in terms of music in my opinion. But I think thats just personal preference:)
Never play a game that is based on luck against Doto. His luck stat is too high
Takes skill. I use to hate it till I got into the competitive scene before xenoversr came out.
Lmao. Xenoverse is barely competitive never mind this over glorified game of rock paper scissors.
Xeno2 sort of made some improvements in that regard I guess...
But xeno1 is just making a busted build, auto dodging and infinite cancel combos. Pvp is literally a battle between who can cheese harder, not whos execution or timing or strategy or reaction is better. Just who can cheese better; who can run away while spamming supers and tracking ultimates and grabs/counter supers the most and spam heaing items. And even then, trying to avoid using these lowly strategies is futile with even the slightest amount of lag. The lag forces you to play this way because half of your hits don't actually land despite clearly connecting with the opponent on screen, which makes the very few skillful(ish) combo extensions in the game impossible to actually do online. So all you can rely on is grabs, AOE stuff, counters and auto tracking supers.
And ultimate tenkaichi is just a bunch of old assets from previous and objectively better games touched up with some better textures and slapped together in a primarily luck based combat system.
The skill ceiling in both of these games is about as high as the kiddy pool is deep at your local waterpark.
@@Darkseany xenoverse sucks cause the stamina breaks are busted
the game is guess their next move
@@queenofdarkness3341 Well, yes and no depending who says it really
I remember being so hype for this game, waiting for it to be released, going into my local GameStop and buying it with my precious savings, and being monumentally disappointed by the awful gameplay, lack of characters, and the Rock Paper Scissors fighting.
To date this is the only DBZ game I ever bought and then returned.
I felt so scammed.
Your first mistake was going to Game Stop.... they take scamming to a whole new level.
@@Astrialx gamestop has nothing to do with how horrible this game is lol like wth

Felt the same with saga
Lol I just commented, never read your comment, but I said the same exact thing. This game was so bad, and we were so hype, that it scarred us.
The greatest thing this game accomplished was that some of the hair styles for the custom character would actually spike up when going super saiyan
That intro perfectly describes how it felt to beam clash, I miss that rush
Using super spirit bomb on your CAC and winning AAAAAAAH
3 words
Big Tree Cannon
Imagine how memorable it would be if it had bt3/raging blast gameplay
You mean that thing that they pretty much advertised it as?
Golden rule that Bandai never seems to learn: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
It's basically the same gameplay but mega oversimplified.
@@diegomedina9637 same gameplay? No...
Is no one gonna talk about Doto getting a trophy called I see right through you?
i loved how this game got the Beam struggles right, most games don't even have them or some kind of limitations like, two beam like attacks get into a struggle but when a ball like energy attack hits a beam like one, they just cancel each other out.
@9:53, Yamcha pulling up to fight Gogeta with Super Sonic v Perfect Dark Gia in the back. 🥴
Bravo
I actually had fun with this game back in the day. The hero customization was all I really cared about and played tbh. Piccolo was a menace in the hero mode, I don't know who decided to make him SO hard in that mode. I whooped though and thats all
Metal cooler had me wanting to push the walls to the house down
Yeah Piccolo was literally the devil in that mode made me cry when I was a kid playing this.
Yeah I remember that stage in hero mode I would lose every time then I got the point where I just gave up.
I got to the point in the battle where my character would unlock the Super Saiyan transformation but then I would still lose the battle.
Piccolo would own me and kick my ass everytime i would fight him eventually i stop trying.
Honestly, one of my more notable disappointments in this game WAS the Hero Customization.
Mostly because it's a single gender, single race character creation in 2011, in a franchise that two gender, three race customization in DB Online over a year prior. I mean, even DS games had more options there, it's just silly! I went in thinking it would be like DB Online's, but no.
Past that, the gameplay just turned me off the game so much...
@@shiftfire4511 didn't care about that, it wasn't really a character creations. You played as Hiro but you could customize him. It's the best we ever got because of the story, aura customization and different voices said different things during the cutscenes. Xenoverse was the shittiest character creation I've dealt with in a game. Voice don't mean shit, clothes with stats. Hair don't change when transforming, can't change aura. I just stay ss4 goku and ssg Gogeta
LMAO I WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT SOME OF THESE. Ultimate Tenkaichi was actually sadness, it had nothing to do with the Tenkaichi series lmaoooo

I still played countless hours of this game since it was a DBZ game where you could create your own character, before Xenoverse came out. Spent hours just perfecting the look and special moves of my character and then destroying people with him once I leveled him up fully. Fun, but could've been way better if they gave it an actual combat system.

Raging blast 2 literally looks the same as this
This was the first DBZ game I ever owned, and as a kid I loved this game. I’d play it through many times over with my friend. I instantly fell in love with the create your own character aspect, and the animated cutscenes were pretty good.
Me who owned DBZ Raging blast 2.
I loved this game but I later on replaced it with raging blast 2😂
I was only ever able to play Raging Blast 2 at a friends house
Honestly despite how bad the gameplay is in this game I still love playing it, the cinematics are awesome as well as the destructiveness it always made me feel like I was actually watching the show when playing this game. I do wish that they would have spent more time on the controls and made it a bit more like raging blast or something and not this guessing bullshit.
Is Raging Blast also a dragon ball thing or something else? I wanna see an Asura’s Wrath-but-it’s-competitive-multiplayer game done right

I honestly got to say the power beam struggle y'all did at 9:45 and yelling at each other like y'all was actually power beam struggling yourself was priceless 😂
I actually really liked this game and the customization was rlly dope. Gameplay was a little basic tho I can’t cap. But the musssic hit
I was expecting a more refined Tenkaichi 3 so this game will forever be the worst to me but it’s cool people liked it.
I feel like without people liking it, there might not have been interest to expand character creation to make Xenoverse.
I really don’t think basic is the right word. It’s not dynamic but it gives you a decent selection of options. But the right way to say it is that the gameplay is a steaming pile of dog shit
Tbf ultimate tenkaichi was originally just a arcade based game hence the simple mechanics
@@KaiBPlayin wait really ?
UT sucked once you realized 99% of it is Rock Paper Scissors the game, but the *MUSIC* was an absolute bop. Adventurous spirit still hits different
Am I the only one who loved this game? I have many precious memories of me and my dad playing this game on the weekends after school. Both of us screaming at the other to stop winning, knocking controller out of the other's hand and stuff.
Bruh you not the only one I loved this game 😂😂
Mhm i fkn Adore that game and like it the music and Art and game playing for child like me in past that was my happier think in my life
How can you not love Rock Paper, Dragonball Z?
I played this again recently and I still had fun revisiting it after a long whole 🤣
U aren’t alone
I used to play this quite a bit, there’s so many little tricks that let you cheese people to no end. Number one is that if you’re at full ki and you press up on the dpad then get into the guess screen, not only do you do more dmg there is no guess you just get to pick.
Easiest method is full ki, up on the dpad I think it was called limit burst, attack Triangle fill up ki for super or ultimate and repeat if you're about to run out you can stop a combo early by not continuing it
My Saiyan can do like 18k with Kaiokenx20 super attack and a regular combo like 9k I think so 2-3 of those and you can win a match
Vegito fight style then stop mid combo just to restart it and there was nothing you can do but wait to lose
8:41 that “you fool” moment was perfect 😂
4:52 for someone who "hates" this game, you sure sound like you're having fun
The game slapped. Its just the Bad Fighting Combat. Everything else was good for its time.
I remember playing it with my cousins. I had 10x The fun than playing naruto storm revo.

This game still got a special place in my heart 💕 The music & the hero mode is pretty cool
I was a broke 15-16 year old. I got this game hated, but I played it for like a year straight, and I had no money
This was actually the first dragonball game I had ever played, and let me tell you. I loved the story but hated the gameplay. I could never get past baby ape. Your timing in that round has to be absolutely perfect. If you make one mistake it starts to snowball. It’s the worst fight. And the story escalates so quickly, I personally would have liked a slower storyline.
My personal favorite dB game was dragon ball xenoverse. I loved the fully customizable characters, open world, and not only did it have different techniques, but different overall styles. Three of which you could chooses from. And the interaction with the world and characters from the anime just makes me happy.

If the game look like this, but played like Xenoverse or Kakarot, it would have been great in my opinion. It's very cinematic and it really made me feel the power of the characters.
While I’ve never played it, Ultimate Tenkaichi is one of my favorite looking DB games visually, in my personal opinion of course. I think the camera angles along with the looks of characters and beams are brutally beautiful.
I really like the visuals of this game too, I think it was emulating more of akira toriyama's digital art work more then the cell shade of the anime which makes it looks very unique
You’re giving this game too much credit. The game reuses most of its animations and models from Raging Blast 2 (and they look much, much worse than they did in that game). What little credit there is to give this isn’t unique to it.
I think the game looks like shit. Horrible models and green super saiyans
@@charlieharrington9555 it is unique cause we don't see them use this art style ever anymore, all the other games have cell shading similar to the anime while this is the only ones that uses toriyama's digital painting as reference
@@conceptofartz276 I guess your right, but I again I feel as if this artistic decision was much better executed in the Raging Blast games, with gorgeous beams and auras and camera angles and, most importantly, NO GREEN SUPER SAIYANS.
