I want to get a second tumbler, too. I love Rob’s setup. I don’t have enough rocks for something that advanced, though. Looks like you are off to a great start! Look forward to seeing how they turn out❤
Great video. I bought that tumbler last summer and I have a couple tips for you. First, make sure the bushings are lubricated. Second, make sure the vent tension isn’t too tight or too loose for that matter. The motor on mine seized up after a week. Either I had the belt tension too tight or the bushings lost lubrication. I took it back and they replaced the tumbler. I ended up replacing the bushings with flanged ball bearings. Haven’t had any issue since. If this happens to you let me know and I will give you the details of how to make this upgrade if you want.
Matt, thank you for that wonderful insight! It has been running for about a week now and I have been checking it in relation to your recommendations. Luckily I have a 2 year warranty on it, but it is better to just set myself up as best as I can right away! I will let you know what i see if I have any issues! Thank you 😊
Wonderful video! I really like how you store your finds. I got a double barrel for Christmas last year. I absolutely love it. Actually planning to go today to get another one, that way each barrel has its own stage and I don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. I’m looking forward to more videos from you. I think my favorite stage possibly is stage one and then of course the polishing stage. Have a blessed day ✌️💜😃
Thank you Kendra for the kind words! I think it is a great idea to have 4 going at a time and move them through the process like an assembly line. May have to take you up on that idea! 😃
I have that same tumbler. The only problem I had was the rubber of the barrels rubbed off on rods and made it run slower and make some weird noise. So I check on it constantly and clean the rods with a Mr. Clean Magic Sponge. Other than that it run well.
Hey Velma! Thanks for the comment. I had a similar problem and I just had to clean it, as well as put some WD-40 in the bearings! Sounds like we had a similar experience!
Fun! thank you for sharing! Looking forward to how they turn out! :)
Thanks Kristen! Excited to share them all with everyone :)
Awesome video and great explanation! Can't wait to see how they turn out. Thanks for sharing!✌️🤠🤘
Thanks Kyla! Excited to share some results with all of you! 😀

The second rock tumbler sped things up really fast! I went from a 1LB barrel to two 3LB barrels so I tumbled all of the rocks had quite fast 😂
I have the same tumbler and have had it since last March. I love it. Haven't had any problems.
Glad to hear that Marlies! Hoping it will last me a bit as a build my own tumbler in the future!
